It's generally easy enough for our church livestream volunteers to use. We livestream to Facebook and YouTube simultaneously and this makes that task easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes we have to toggle on and off to get livestreaming to officially start on facbook and/or YouTube. Other times it will say it's live-streaming, but it actually not. I have found we have to verify the stream is fully working on each platform. I am assuming this is an underlying bug that has been persistent in the code for some time. I use Castr to send live broadcasts of community news and talk programs and love that it automatically records my programs, making connecting my streams fast and simple. I especially like the live streaming feature, which I use all the time, and the support they provide if there's any problem or need for information on setting up a stream. As someone who's definitely not tech-savvy, I was dreading having to figure out live streaming during COVID. We suddenly needed to broadcast content to multiple platforms at once. After trying a few options, Castr stood out as the most reliable and user-friendly choice. The interface is straightforawrd and intuitive. The waiting for stream preview is sometimes just a black screen and that lag can be a little frustrating.

The pricing changes can be stressful, especially when we use the service only once a week or so.

I love how Castr allows us to simultaneously publish to multiple livestream platforms without tying up lots of upload bandwidth. It's mostly a set it and forget it experience because it just works. I also appreciate having a livestream recording backup on Castr in case our local recording fails, as I can easily download a full-resolution video file for on-demand or archival purposes. I really appreciate the price, the reliability, and the customer service that Castr offers. It's amazing that it allows us to broadcast to thousands of people in different languages, helping us reach a wider audience. The service is very reliable, and we've never had any issues with it. I greatly value how Castr offers us the possibility of having multiple services under a single subscription plan, which means considerable savings and easier management of our resources. Additionally, Castr's performance has been exceptional, being an ideal solution for our clients who stream video over the web. One of the aspects I highlight the most is the ABR (Adaptive Bitrate) service, which optimizes bandwidth usage by adapting to the user's speed, thus ensuring a continuous and efficient viewing experience. I also facilitate the integration of HTML5 with restricted content control within WordPress, which expands the customization and control capabilities of my content. I don't like the video import system in Castr's video hosting. It would be convenient to be able to import from services like Dropbox, OneDrive, and Google Drive. Currently, direct import from Dropbox is in beta phase and has issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It used to be the exclusion of accepting multiple currencies for PPV events, but they have now resolved that. Earlier this year we moved to another streaming service, because the Euro currency was not accepted at the checkout for the customer paying for a PPV event. I use Castr because of the multistream and the services for receiving signals and converting them to communicate with other cities. I like the simplicity of the platform and its features. The setup through Castr is much faster than doing it on a personal server. I admire the agility, speed, and quality it provides. Since I switched to Castr, it has been an incredible experience.
