You can scan any document, photograph, card, PDF, etc., and then edit it systematically to highlight the contents and crop unnecessary parts automatically. It is relatively easy to use, and its features are pretty intuitive. You can save all your scans on the device and in the cloud to access them from anywhere. You also get enough parts to edit your scans to remove dullness and brighten the scan for better clarity. If you want to print your scan, it has the handy feature of converting the black tone into a classic white look so that you save on ink while printing docs that were initially dark. You can also share your scans in different formats over different platforms. Files can be saved as images or as PDF or word files. You can also use OCR features to make your PDF scans editable in word. The free version has a mandatory stamp of “scanned with CamScanner” below the scan. If you want to remove the seal, upgrade to the paid version. There are so many valuable features in the paid version. For instance, OCR, PDF merge/split, convert PDF to the word or vice versa. You can organize your scan with labels or folders. OCR feature store text automatically in the search database. So you can even search according to the content of your scans. It is advantageous if you are looking for a needle in the haystack. **What do you dislike about CamScanner?** One of the features automatically crops all the pages of your scan to speed up the process, but sometimes some pages get cut wrongly, and you may miss some content. To avoid that, you may have to check every page if anything is not cropped. Secondly, having a brand seal below every scan isn't very reassuring. It continually improves and upgrades are right on target! I have used the CamScanner for about 4 years now and they do not rest on their past acheivements. I recommend the Pro edition. I think one step can be eliminated in the scanning process as there a few more clicks than necessary to get your item scanned. The folders of previously scanned items are not the prettiest so maybe a better-looking folder system would be a good revision for them to think about. Most times when you take a picture of a document, the sizing is a bit off and it often times needs to be cropped, but this feature seems to be improving. I was introduced to this app by a coworker who used it to scan business cards and as I explored the features more and more, I realized how many uses it has. It can create PDFs, email, or save the files locally, send them over messenger or even upload them to DropBox, Mega, and other shared drives.
