The advantages of using CALAMP are very extensive, including its GPS tracking, its infrastructure for radio frequency devices, the ease of use, and the practical use that the platform presents when executing and sending commands to the assigned equipment. What I don't like about CALAMP and GPS companies in general is that sometimes there are latencies and connection losses in specific areas with no coverage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

when it is working it is great, but there have been a number of times when the GPS system is lagging quite substantially and the MDTs seem to need updates quite often and then do not work properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sales and service are not great - we had leased systems and were not informed in a timely manner of the switch to newer systems due to 2 and 3 G being phased out. It turned into a rush to try and get new systems. The installation team was great and the Calamp Project implementation team has worked well and they have been very responsive. What is most helpful to me is that I can determine if a bus stopped at a particular stop or not. Also, I am able to determine the times the bus stopped at each stop. Overall, this app is very helpful. In addition, the app is user friendly and self explanatory. I utlize many of the features on the app. I highly recommend it to all districts/schools. Sometimes it can be challenging for me to access the app even when I enter in my login information correctly. It will tell me that I have had 3 attempts and will lock me out for 15 minutes. However, it will lock me out "sometimes" after entering my login information in once. Because of this, I am not able to view the GPS when I need it right then. What I like most about CalAmp equipment is the versatility they have and that allows me to customize solutions for clients with the same device, in addition to the fact that you can customize the plot, events and on each occasion and for each client it can be a different reality.
