"Simplifies ESOP Management with Ease"
4/5
What do you like best about Cake Equity?

I really like Cake Equity because it's simple and easy to navigate, even when dealing with complex calculations. The advanced tools, like long vesting periods, milestones, and options for lapsing and awarding, are great for recording ESOP plans and employee KPIs. Building familiarity with the platform makes it easy to add or change share option plans. It's not perfect, but it's very good at what it does. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cake Equity?

It would be great to see an integration for general purpose financial reports since this is quite a manual element for us. It's a complex formula often to work out options and also the equivalent value that those options have for employee expenses on an ongoing basis when allocated to a company. "Streamlined Onboarding with Cake Equity"
5/5
What do you like best about Cake Equity?

I find Cake Equity to be an easy, simple platform that's very usable and elegant. Its onboarding and sales process was streamlined and very efficient, making the switch easier and helping me finalize our decision. The platform is more affordable and flexible than the alternatives, with competitive and affordable pricing being a big plus. I appreciate the feature parity with competitors, but Cake Equity stands out with its more elegant and simple user interface and very simple, efficient onboarding process. The initial setup has been very easy, really efficient, and streamlined. I only had to upload a few documents and almost overnight, the Cake Equity team had it ready to go. Even with a complex cap table, 90% of the work was done within 24 hours with minimal effort on my part. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cake Equity?

The only thing we've come across so far that seems like it could be a potential shortcoming is its capabilities around reverse splits. It does not natively support reverse splits, though it does have a workaround for that. So far, I've not come across any other potential shortcomings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Self-Sufficient ESOP Tool with Easy-to-Reach Australian Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Cake Equity?

It's pretty self sufficient but when you need help you can book a time with someone to help. They are Australian based and very easy to connect with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cake Equity?

I use it for ESOP and it can have major consequences for people - sometimes I doubt myself and am not quite sure I'm using the right action. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Logical, Easy-to-Use UX with Top-Class Customer Support"
4/5
What do you like best about Cake Equity?

The UX is easy to manage, and the layout and flow of options feel very logical for a finance or company secretarial user. On our side, the engagement from our CSM and the support team has also been top class. I also feel it’s reasonably priced overall, although it could become expensive for larger organisations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cake Equity?

Would like it perhaps to be more globalised in terms of templates, advice etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to Use with Great Reporting and Responsive Customer Service Team"
5/5
What do you like best about Cake Equity?

Easy to use, reporting is great. I can add stakeholders and track. Pricing is very reasonable as well. Anytime I need support, I get a response quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cake Equity?

Next update made it harder to add a stakeholder and offer ESOP so recommend reverting to the old version Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Huge Time Saver for Managing Complex Cap Tables and ESOPs"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Cake Equity?

Having Cake Equity rather than relying on spreadsheets when you have a relatively complex cap table including ESOP saves me a huge amount of time in terms of management, shareholder queries and ASIC lodgement correspondence. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cake Equity?

Feedback from the Team is that the UI/UX when exercising options can sometimes be a bit clunky but I know Cake are always looking to improve and welcome any feedback. Our lawyers also sometimes raise compliance concerns around using Cake as your one source of truth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Cap Table Management with Ease"
4/5
What do you like best about Cake Equity?

I use Cake Equity for managing our cap table, ESOP, and different classes of shareholders. I appreciate that it aggregates relevant information in one place and presents a visually simple profile of our investor base. I like having template documents to ensure consistency and the scenario analysis feature. I find the flexible but simple interface very helpful as it asks about the most pertinent information to set up your account, which makes analysis of our shareholders and different share classes quicker and easier. The initial setup was pretty easy, as long as you have the right contact information and share registry data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cake Equity?

It was not clear how we could manage a cap table that had capital raising events in different currencies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cake makes Equity simple, clear, and employee-friendly (cool admin tools at a great value!)"
5/5
What do you like best about Cake Equity?

An easy platform to navigate, with helpful document storage and vesting alerts. I also LOVE the ability to educate employees through simple videos (so much better than the competitors). The shorter explainer videos are great, better than the walls of text

The team was great, they gave fast, thoughtful responses when I had detailed questions about audits and compliance. They were willing to give sandbox access quickly so we could actually click around, not just watch a demo. Overall their CS team seemed genuinely invested in making the rollout work

The team we worked with was very responsive, had excellent knowledge of the platform, and made implementation (from another platform) a breeze! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cake Equity?

Compliance / audit story is really good, but not yet as familiar to investors and auditors Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy, Intuitive Cap Table Management and Option Handling"
4/5
What do you like best about Cake Equity?

Easy, intuitive interface. It makes managing the cap table and handling option holder issues straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cake Equity?

It doesn’t drill down into beneficially held shareholders in nominee arrangements, so you can’t record who the underlying shareholders actually are. These arrangements are commonplace in VC companies due to the public company 50 SH rule. Separately, for options, you can’t maintain different versions of option letters, so you end up having to continually update the template. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Simple, easy to use yet robust. Have used it for the past three years and like it a lot. Support is always on hand Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cake Equity?

Has been adding a lot for the US but probably this is not their strong point Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
