Screen is clear **What do you dislike about Busuu?** It starts easy to give you confidence, but later lessons add things that have never been learned, which makes it confusing. Lessons on listening and recognizing the language are then tested by expecting me to recognize Chinese writing. Some exercises were impossible to answer because they were asking for different things than the lesson had taught. Also, it was almost impossible to type in Pinyin, so almost every exercise was incorrect. **What problems is Busuu solving and how is that benefiting you?** None. I'm not sure if that's a bug or an intended behaviour, but ever since I have finished every lesson from my German course, the app won't keep track of the most recent lesson I've re-taken. The grammar lessons are crafted very nicely and the tips help remember the concepts. The review feature helps to revise and remember the vocabulary. Revision of vocabulary and grammar is also a very nice feature as it helped me to revisit the concepts. I also like that others can review my exercises and provide feedback. I learnt a lot from these. These exercises also give you an option to improve both writing and speaking skills and is a great way of getting instant feedback from native speakers. The dialog exercises also are great way to learn how the conversations are made. **What do you dislike about Busuu?** I wish there was also a feature to practice the learned concepts more, something like worksheets, where we can work on multiple examples of a particular concept to get more command on the topics. More practice exercises for correct sentence structures / translating exercises from a different language might help in gaining more confidence while learning a new language.It would also be great to include English translations for the dialog sections. since most of the words learnt are not part of the lessons learnt previously, it saves time by not using external pages like google translate every time. **What problems is Busuu solving and how is that benefiting you?** Learning new language, make conversation with people, learn how to write in a new language, learning the usage of correct grammar. ### 8. Plus, you don't get to choose in which language you get your language certificates on Premium. For example, i got my English licences printed in Turkish, which is useless for me. And no matter what i do, i cannot get it in English. It has many different languages and it is very easy to register from this page. No initial payment is required to start with the lessons of the selected language. Only the desire to learn is needed. The included methodology is excellent. It has allowed many users, including friends, to engage in several languages. The levels and different rewards obtained make this learning like a game, and this is much more fun this way. The web interface is very friendly and attractive. **What do you dislike about Busuu?** I don't like that to advance to specific other levels it requires making a payment, and often it is quite expensive compared to other learning sites. Additionally, they have removed the Chat and Video Call function to communicate with other users. This last function was really good because it allowed interaction between different users and you could acquire knowledge faster. This was really the one I liked the most. And another very important point to highlight is that with the same account you cannot learn two languages. You are required to create another account (as I did) to learn another language as a secondary option. **Recommendations to others considering Busuu:** As a free version (which I am using at the moment), it is very good. I would like to use the paid version but it has become complicated for me, and that's why I stay at these levels. However, I do consider this page very useful for those who wish to learn other languages. You can also apply for certifications that arise from the busuu agreement with McGraw-Hill education and if you have a premium plan you can use the application in disconnected mode. **What do you dislike about Busuu?** When you do not have one of the premium accounts, the lessons can not be completed in most cases because they are blocked which makes the experience incomplete. **Recommendations to others considering Busuu:** if you have the capacity, it is good investment to pay for a premium plan since the price is relatively low for what you offer and so you can have the lessons fully unlocked and opt for certifications, in addition to studying the lessons offline and having practical native speakers. **What problems is Busuu solving and how is that benefiting you?** in my work as a professor of computer science the majority of texts or updated applications are in other languages, so bussu allows me to practice the language in my free time and achieve a faster understanding of the resources I use. ### 18. It also has a discussion board where you can post blog-like articles to put what you learn to use or ask natives about something.It also allows you to help people who are learning your mother tongue through replying to their articles or chatting through hangout or Skype. when you start at first you can have the option to take a language level estimation test. **What do you dislike about Busuu?** The courses it offered doesn't help you learn a language beyond the basics, so if you're more or less in an intermediate level in a language then I think this software won't add much to your knowledge. Excellent explanation before the lecture. Easy and understandable grammar lessons. It is the explanation of the grammar busuu that does much better than its competitors. **What do you dislike about Busuu?** I do not really like the presentation of the material and its evaluation. If you did not make an accent in the verification, then it's just an error. It seems to me that it will be difficult for a beginner to learn the language from scratch, but to improve his knowledge very well. **Recommendations to others considering Busuu:** Excellent service for learning foreign languages. First I tried the free version but soon decided to buy a paid subscription for a year. I doubted, but the service offered me a good discount and I still decided and bought the full version. The content and material it has is very sufficient and its teaching methods are very clear, accurate and clingy and helps you easily memorize words and sentences. Very easy tasks that do not make any sense but take a lot of time. I like how Busuu explains the concepts of a language in addition to teaching you the vocabulary. I think it does this better than most of its competitors. **What do you dislike about Busuu?** What I dislike the most is how unforgiving the grading is. If you don't put an accent in the right spot or if you don't capitalize the first letter of a sentence, you don't get credit for the question. This really bothers me because I think it negatively impacts the learner's attitude. I also find the vocals to be of a lower quality than several other language learning packages. It would be much better if the grading was more forgiving. The premium access provides a even more learning tools, but I personally think it is priced too high when there are so many other language options out there. **Recommendations to others considering Busuu:** If you are considering learning a language, or helping others to learn a language, I would definitely recommend giving Busuu a try. There are several similar free options, and I think that each one has its own flavor. Instead of repeating information, it also requires you to make inferences as you become more advanced.
