I love how Bookkeep seamlessly integrates with Stripe and QBO, significantly simplifying our data management process. Before using Bookkeep, we struggled with cluttered, cash-based transactions, but now, everything is neatly organized through daily accrual-based journal entries. The setup was incredibly straightforward thanks to their dedicated onboarding team, comprising of experienced accountants, which instantly boosted our confidence in the platform and its support quality.Bookkeep's features make mapping general ledger accounts effortless, allowing us to add new accounts with ease. I find the daily email feature particularly useful because it helps me monitor daily sales and alerts me of any new product that requires mapping to QBO. It also makes reconciling from QBO to Stripe much simpler. I'd love to see some additional reporting. The daily detail is good, but it should indicate which product code and general ledger account each line is coded to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I first used bookkeep at my prior employer to handle multiple ecommerce brands as the intenral finance lead. I now use bookkeep to handle multiple ecommerce brands for my clients as an outsourced bookkeeper.

In both instances, I have found the product to be very intuitive, continually improving and expanding, and most importantly, I have found the support team to be informed, responsive, and pleasant to deal with.

I was able to onboard a client in about the same amount of time it would have taken to just do single day (or month) manual entry into Quickbooks. The implementation was fast and easy. Plus, it gives you good tips to consider to make sure you're books are accurate.

I love that the app sends you a summary email daily. I check it every morning so that I can stay on top of the link status and make any tweaks, if needed.

I imagine the areas of improvement could be in the PayPal integrations. PayPal is such a pain to deal with when a company uses it for more than just ecommerce. For example, an ecommerce company that (a) accepts PayPal but also (b) pays subscriptions from it. But that's not really a Bookkeep problem, as it's an odd pseudo-bank and merchant combined. Bookkeep has been very easy to use over the last few years. We have run into issues, but they have always been due to the app we are connecting to, or we had a wrong configuration. The Bookkeep chat support has been amazing each and everytime. They not only are responsive, but will fix your problem and then ask to do the next few steps with/for you to get you back up and running quickly. Love the service. Bookkeep has fantastic customer support. Every person that I have spoken with has gone above and beyond to make sure that I have a clear understanding of the implementation and processes, they provide one-on-one support for integration to avoid any potential snags, and it works with so many sales channels that are otherwise a challenge to retrieve information from. I was on a time crunch (which isn't their fault) but I would have preferred to get things setup prior to the free trial ending. This isn't even really a negative bc they want to make sure that everyone who uses the platform is getting the best results, so they have a standard practice. Everything, but as a Canadian, it is Gaap (accrual accounting) compliant for both sales and payment posting, it posts sales taxes correctly for QBO tax module, and you can repost if you have made an error in mapping.

Bookkeep streamlines the Square entries for our clients who use it daily, and does so reliably. The integration tion is stable, and it was intuitive to implement. I was really impressed with the detailed JE setups. The customer support has been excellent. Bookkeep has relieved the worry around having to enter dozens of transactions manually, and getting them right. It has also freed up staff time for more valuable tasks! I was able to communicate professionally and timely with the people of Bookkeep to make numerous things happen so that we could develop a new process for our clients.
