Before using Bookkeep, we struggled with cluttered, cash-based transactions, but now, everything is neatly organized through daily accrual-based journal entries. The setup was incredibly straightforward thanks to their dedicated onboarding team, comprising of experienced accountants, which instantly boosted our confidence in the platform and its support quality.Bookkeep's features make mapping general ledger accounts effortless, allowing us to add new accounts with ease. I find the daily email feature particularly useful because it helps me monitor daily sales and alerts me of any new product that requires mapping to QBO. It also makes reconciling from QBO to Stripe much simpler. Ultimately, these aspects have had a transformative impact on our operations and efficiency, which is why I am fully satisfied with Bookkeep. **What do you dislike about Bookkeep?** I'd love to see some additional reporting. I now use bookkeep to handle multiple ecommerce brands for my clients as an outsourced bookkeeper. In both instances, I have found the product to be very intuitive, continually improving and expanding, and most importantly, I have found the support team to be informed, responsive, and pleasant to deal with. I was able to onboard a client in about the same amount of time it would have taken to just do single day (or month) manual entry into Quickbooks. The implementation was fast and easy. Plus, it gives you good tips to consider to make sure you're books are accurate. I love that the app sends you a summary email daily. I check it every morning so that I can stay on top of the link status and make any tweaks, if needed. I wish every SAAS/app were as well designed, executed, and supported as this one. **What do you dislike about Bookkeep?** I imagine the areas of improvement could be in the PayPal integrations. PayPal is such a pain to deal with when a company uses it for more than just ecommerce. For example, an ecommerce company that (a) accepts PayPal but also (b) pays subscriptions from it. But that's not really a Bookkeep problem, as it's an odd pseudo-bank and merchant combined. **What problems is Bookkeep solving and how is that benefiting you?** Bookkeep allows you to accurately keep your accounting software in sync with your ecommerce platforms with zero daily effort. It creates a single daily entry that summarizes the activity for the day, as opposed to other options that create a separate journal entry for EVERY ORDER each day (yikes!!!). What I really love is that they adopt the perspective of the bookkeeper, and continually iterate to make it easier and better. ### 4. It doesn't try to do everything and isn't constantly pitching you sales of other products. It does what it does, very well, better than any other software. **What do you dislike about Bookkeep?** There are no downsides to Bookkeep. It works **What problems is Bookkeep solving and how is that benefiting you?** Fo my very small bookkeeping clients, this has cleaned up bad bookkeeping from the past by quickly repairing daily sales to include fees and carry information into Quickbooks that matches the bank feed. ### 5. We have run into issues, but they have always been due to the app we are connecting to, or we had a wrong configuration. The Bookkeep chat support has been amazing each and everytime. They not only are responsive, but will fix your problem and then ask to do the next few steps with/for you to get you back up and running quickly. Love the service. **What do you dislike about Bookkeep?** The only thing I can think of is they don't integrate with some apps that our clients use. The compatible list is constantly growing so this issue is less and less relevent. **What problems is Bookkeep solving and how is that benefiting you?** Bookkeep allows us to integrate PoS and eCom sites into QBO so we save a ton of time not having to do data entry or data clean up. ### 7. Every person that I have spoken with has gone above and beyond to make sure that I have a clear understanding of the implementation and processes, they provide one-on-one support for integration to avoid any potential snags, and it works with so many sales channels that are otherwise a challenge to retrieve information from. The daily JEs into QBO do the work for me, so it really is the easiest solution out there. I was able to import historical data back over a year. **What do you dislike about Bookkeep?** I was on a time crunch (which isn't their fault) but I would have preferred to get things setup prior to the free trial ending. This isn't even really a negative bc they want to make sure that everyone who uses the platform is getting the best results, so they have a standard practice. **What problems is Bookkeep solving and how is that benefiting you?** Most sales channels have really poor reporting and statement features. Bookkeep puts all of the data that we need at our fingertips and automates processes so that we can prioritize our clients other needs. ### 8. There is also lots of support articles and training provided for free. It is clear and easy to use. **What do you dislike about Bookkeep?** I think how the clearing accounts are used can be a bit messy when it comes time to reconcile them based on how the data syncs over. **What problems is Bookkeep solving and how is that benefiting you?** Creating Journal entries to post sales and have them match in the bank feed. Icing on the cake is the exceptional customer service team! Its a must use for any of my square/shopify clients. **What do you dislike about Bookkeep?** Nothing, if I had to find something then it would be ... sometimes, the UI for mapping seems squished i you are on a small screen. But that is so negligible compared to other apps. Its an all-round winner for me. **What problems is Bookkeep solving and how is that benefiting you?** Balancing the daily sales and deposits. We have gone from 45 mins a day to 10 mins at end of month verifying number posted in QBO match Square/Shopify sales & tax figures! ### 10. The integration tion is stable, and it was intuitive to implement. I was really impressed with the detailed JE setups. The customer support has been excellent. Bookkeep has relieved the worry around having to enter dozens of transactions manually, and getting them right. It has also freed up staff time for more valuable tasks! **What do you dislike about Bookkeep?** None, except perhaps that it doesn't integrate with Team Unify or Veevart. The do take suggestions for integrations. **What problems is Bookkeep solving and how is that benefiting you?** It posts the entries daily, helping to keep the books up to date. This is a very valuable feature for our clients, whereas staff were struggling to stay on top of all the manual Journal Entries they had to do. ### 11. They are working daily to integrate more sales platforms. Bookkeep has soared above their competition in all areas of e-commerce reporting. **Recommendations to others considering Bookkeep:** Bookkeep provides the most accurate e-commerce sales reporting than any other integration. The staff is so helpful and quick to respond. They have alleviated pain points that were an issue with their competitive integrators. They are continually adding more sales platforms/apps to their applications library. **What problems is Bookkeep solving and how is that benefiting you?** Accurate sales reporting was the issue when I transferred over to Bookkeep. The Bookkeep staff took the time to go through month by month of a client's year in sales to determine why the numbers had been off.
