Boardwise Reviews & Product Details

Boardwise is board management software (also known as a board portal) that helps corporate secretaries, directors, and general counsel at midsize organizations run board meetings, distribute materials, capture resolutions, and maintain a complete governance record. It is designed for organizations with whose boards have outgrown email and shared drives but do not want the cost or complexity of a legacy board suite. Typical users include corporate secretaries (who assemble materials, take minutes, and manage compliance attestations), board directors (who read materials, attend meetings, and sign consents), and general counsel or compliance leaders (who own the audit posture and respond to discovery, regulatory inquiries, and due diligence reviews). Common use cases include preparing for board and committee meetings, holding meetings and capturing minutes, passing written consents in lieu of a meeting, managing recurring director attestations, and producing audit packages on demand. Main features include: - Meeting management with an agenda builder, integrated materials, and full board book assembly in a single click - Document storage with retention policies at the organization, folder, document, or meeting level, plus scheduled deletion and access logging - Written consents signed with passkeys (biometrics or hardware security keys) and a SHA-256 integrity digest on every executed resolution - Compliance tracking for conflict of interest declarations, independence questionnaires, and other recurring attestations, with reminder workflows and historical records - Isolated board communications that sit outside personal email, with a cryptographic audit log covering document access, logins, and consent activity Boardwise runs on the web, iOS, and Android, with native mobile apps for directors who work primarily on tablets. Authentication uses passkeys with short sessions, data is encrypted at rest, and each customer is isolated from every other customer as a security boundary. Pricing is a flat monthly subscription with unlimited board members rather than a per seat fee, and Boardwise offers documented migration paths from email, shared drives, and incumbent platforms.
