There’s a slight lag when entering data, especially amounts, and it slows me down when I’m entering invoices. I understand they’re working on a feature to scan the invoice, which should take care of some of that work for me. Overall, it’s a minor issue. I’d also like the ability to add lines in the distribution for invoices (insert in a specific order) so that, when I copy, the account numbers stay in the order I usually enter them. We really started using FE NXT during COVID, and the ability to attach the invoice, credit memo or receipt was especially important since I didn’t have my office filing cabinet at home. Database view listed the vendors I’d used most recently (and usually most often), so I could get to them quickly. Since 2020, all of our invoices are stored in FE NXT, making them accessible at any time, from any location. This also means no pulling and re-filing of invoices for auditors! Our business office started using Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT two years ago and now I am finally able to link my processes in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT with them. In the past, we used a different software system for accounting and our CRM did not "talk" directly to it, making reporting and reconciling difficult at times. I like the deep relational database, the endless configurations, and the kind support team. The relational database makes it possible to see all of the connections and potential touchpoints with our donors. The configurations accommodate any number of appeals and campaigns based on the dreams and wishes of the development team. The support team are friends and reliable. (maybe three) First is the Approve/Validate/Post process for journal entries. After you do the entry, it's two more clicks to get the entry to post. Next is the option to 'allow journal entries without updating the cash account' which is strange (if I update cash, update the register at the same time); but I don't understand the concept of reconciling 'register' to 'cash account'. Once a transaction is posted, you cannot delete it but must reverse the transaction. Reporting is a great tool, but having to create multiple reports from the implementation stage takes time. However, we are sorry to hear about the challenges you've encountered.  A member of our Customer Success team will reach out to learn more about these issues in an effort to identify the root cause and provide the necessary resources to assist. On the inability to delete a transaction, that is intentional in order to preserve an audit trail. If your organization requires additional validation before posting, you can validate a batch/posting before it's permanently posted. And of course, there's no limit on reversals if something does make it all the way to posting—the audit trail will just reflect that so your auditors have that record. Journal Entries- should be able to add new lines anywhere and copy and paste anywhere as well. Also should be able to import new Journal Entries to an existing Journal entrie batch thats not posted. We're glad to hear you're enjoying the new experience and updated layout, and that query functionality is adding value to your work. We appreciate your feedback on Journal Entries as well. You may be interested to know that capabilities such as inserting lines within existing batches and importing transactions to unposted batches, along with duplicating lines are available. If you haven't revisited these workflows recently, we encourage you to take another look, as recent enhancements may help address some of the challenges you mentioned. I like the continued focus of on-line cloud based software and to see them to sunset the database version. This results in more of a seamless experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Would love to see them offer more complementary help manuals/how-tos in addition to what they offer now.
