**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

What I like best about Bitwarden is how practical and reliable it is for day-to-day use. I work a lot with servers, tools, and different environments, so I’m constantly dealing with credentials — and Bitwarden helps me keep everything organized without overcomplicating things.

I also really value the fact that it’s open source and transparent, which gives me more confidence in terms of security. The integration across browser and devices is smooth, and the autofill just works, which saves time.

In terms of performance, it’s fast and consistent. Even with a large number of stored credentials, I haven’t experienced slowdowns or sync issues — everything loads quickly and stays in sync across devices without problems.

From a pricing perspective, Bitwarden offers excellent value for money. Even the free version is very complete and covers most everyday needs, and the paid plans are very affordable for what they offer. In my case, it delivers everything I need without requiring a high investment, so it’s easy to justify the cost.

Getting started with Bitwarden was straightforward. The onboarding process is simple, and the interface is intuitive enough that you can start using it right away. Whenever I needed help, the documentation and community resources were easy to find and useful, so I didn’t really need to rely on direct support.

In terms of AI or intelligence features, Bitwarden doesn’t heavily rely on AI, but it does a great job with smart automation like autofill, password generation, and syncing across devices. I actually prefer this approach — it keeps the tool predictable, efficient, and focused on security rather than adding unnecessary complexity.

Another big plus for me is that it’s lightweight and straightforward. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do — securely store and manage passwords — without unnecessary complexity.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

One thing that could be improved in Bitwarden is the user interface, especially in some browser extensions and the web vault. While it’s functional, it can feel a bit dated and less polished compared to some other password managers.

Another point is that some advanced features and configurations are not very intuitive at first, which can require a bit of time exploring the documentation to fully understand how to use them.

Also, while it works reliably most of the time, there are occasional small inconsistencies with autofill depending on the website, which sometimes require manual adjustments.

Overall, these are not major issues, but areas where the experience could be smoother and more refined.

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bitwarden solves the problem of securely managing a large number of credentials across different systems and environments. In my daily work, I deal with servers, tools, and multiple accounts, so having a centralized and secure place to store and access everything makes a big difference.

It also helps eliminate the need to reuse passwords, since I can generate and store strong, unique credentials for each service without worrying about remembering them. That significantly improves my overall security posture.

Another benefit is the seamless access across devices. Whether I’m working on my main machine or accessing something remotely, I know my credentials are always available and up to date.

Overall, it reduces friction in my workflow, saves time, and gives me confidence that sensitive information is being handled securely.

**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

The flexibility. Our company is very complex in terms of cross-functional team members who sometimes work across different teams and have different needs throughout the organization, and this obviously affects the credentials they need to use. BW allows us to include a person in multiple groups, manage group permissions per collection, and add a credential to different collections.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

The “smart” password-field recognition with the Chrome extension while browsing the internet is really frustrating. I ended up having to disable it because it was extremely annoying and worked very poorly, placing the Bitwarden icon in lots of fields that weren’t actually login fields.

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have multpiple teams with different roles and multiples roles withing a single team. For example, we use Airbnb: property managers need to access, commercial managers need to access, and Finance team need to access. Without BW, we were every day sharing passwords by chat. Multiply this situation by 100. Bitwarden is now key for us.

**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

A very easy-to-use solution that is also intuitive when it comes The ultimate password management solution: secure, open-source, and flexible for both individuals and businesses

I have been using Bitwarden for quite some time now, and I can confidently say that it is one of the best solutions on the market for credential management, both for personal and corporate use. The real turning point for this software lies in its open-source philosophy and the transparency that comes with it. Knowing that the code is constantly accessible and subjected to strict external security audits provides a level of trust that proprietary software simply cannot guarantee. This is all backed by a strictly zero-knowledge architecture, meaning that data encryption happens entirely on the local device, ensuring that no one—not even Bitwarden itself—can ever intercept the master password or decrypted data.

In daily use, the software proves to be incredibly solid and versatile. Syncing across various platforms is flawless and covers virtually every need, from extensions for major browsers to mobile and desktop applications. Beyond classic password storage, I highly appreciate the flexibility of custom fields, which allow for saving sensitive information like PINs or hidden notes, as well as the native integration of the OTP generator for two-factor authentication. For those working in teams or managing a company, the multi-tenant module and "Organizations" management represent an extraordinary added value. In fact, they allow for a clean separation between private and company credentials and the creation of internal supervisory roles with highly granular permissions.

If I had to find any minor weaknesses, they would mostly lie in the graphical interface. The design is extremely clean and functional, but from a purely aesthetic standpoint, it feels a bit spartan and less modern than some of its more prominent commercial competitors. Additionally, the password-sharing mechanism—which requires transferring credentials into a shared Organization—can have a slight learning curve for less technical users, requiring a bit of getting used to.

Despite these minor details, the problems that Bitwarden solves are massive. It has completely eliminated the risk associated with weak or duplicated passwords within our team, replacing them with unique, complex credentials for every service. We have abandoned the terrible habit of sharing passwords via chat or sticky notes; now, each department has access exclusively to the credentials within their scope in a secure, encrypted manner. This has drastically optimized our daily workflow, as the autofill feature on both browsers and smartphones is fast and accurate, saving us hours of time that used to be wasted on account recovery procedures.

In conclusion, I highly recommend Bitwarden to anyone who prioritizes security and privacy over unnecessary visual frills. The value for money is unbeatable, and for those with strict internal compliance policies, the option to self-host the software on your own servers makes it an excellent choice without compromises.to configuration. The multi-tenant feature is also highly useful, offering the ability to create supervisory roles within the company

The only thing that could be improved is tThe only thing that could be improved is the on-premise installation for the Enterprise version. Not everyone is familiar with containers, which makes it somewhat difficult to deploy. If I may suggest, AI could be leveraged to assist technicians who lack experience with container-based technologieshe on-premises setup for the Enterprise tier. Since not everyone is comfortable with containers, it can be quite challenging to implement.

So far, all issues have been resolved very quickly despite the time difference. The latest problem was even fixed over the weekend, which was highly appreciated by everyone on our team

What I like best about Bitwarden is how easy it is to use while still offering strong security features. The interface is clean and intuitive, it works seamlessly across devices and browsers, and the browser extension makes managing passwords quick and convenient. I appreciate its easy integration on different platforms. It syncs seamlessly between devices. Helps to keep users secure while making it easy for them to access all their passwords. Onboarding users is simple and painless, both for the MSP and for the end user.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

I feel like the UI is a bit lacking. It can be a bit clunky and a little less than pleasing. It does what it needs to do but it feels like it was designed by engineers rather than someone with an eye for design. The UX side could use a bit of polish also. The way the app organizes passwords between personal and shared is a bit convoluted and mildly unintuitive. I don't have suggestions on how to improve but that is just my experience

It helps our clients to strengthen their end user security by allowing them to stop using the same password and especially stop using weak passwords for their accounts. With password suggestions and syncing, they feel comfortable allowing Bitwarden to suggest strong unique passwords for all their accounts and to manage it for them.

**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

It is great how good your autofill really is and I simply am not required to "think" about it. That was what I was looking for. One Master Password and the rest of the world is just automatically taken care of. Sharing my credentials with the group without having to send them my password via Slack (like an idiot) is another huge advantage. When I give them access they are able to log into whatever program they need and will never even know the password or see the string of characters. The ability to share works well for me and I am happy it does.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

The browser extension lags occasionally but it doesn't happen all the time but enough times that you notice it. A small thing but it would be nice if the password entry box was highlighted/autofocused once you had entered a password using autofill rather than you having to click back onto the box. Another small frustration but there is clutter in the interface when dealing with larger vaults and scrolling through hundreds of entries isn't enjoyable.

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to use three identical passwords for all of my accounts before I started using this and this means I was essentially begging for some sort of catastrophe to occur. Now each account has it's own unique and long password which I could not possibly remember whether I tried. If someone leaves the company we are able to remove their access instantly.

Bitwarden is an easy-to-use password manager. I really like that it offers a desktop app as well as browser extensions, and that it’s truly cross-platform, so I can use it on Windows, Mac, and even Linux. I’ve also found Bitwarden support to be very helpful.

The only thing I dislike about Bitwarden is that when I updated the credit card on file, it still kept trying to charge my previous card. That said, support was fantastic and helped me get it corrected quickly.

I used to reuse the same passwords across a lot of different platforms. Now I have a highly secure, unique password for every account, and it’s easy to log in without the hassle of typing a long string of characters each time. It’s also been very useful for passwordless security key logins.

I love how it makes it easy to create new identities and logins for all my online needs, while also securely managing much of my offline sensitive data, which I can access from anywhere. It's free which is obviously great - the UI makes sense, the first thing I do with any new browser is install the extension and I'm good to go.

There really isn't much to dislike about it - I've tried other alternatives and come back to Bitwarden.

I use Bitwarden for password and passkey management. It stores highly secure passwords, enabling me to have different passwords for different accounts without forgetting them. I really like the password generator, particularly its ability to select the type of characters and length of password I want. This feature allows me to meet a site's security requirements and make my passwords as secure as possible. The initial setup was fairly easy, which is a plus.

One thing that has annoyed me a few times is it seems to want to update a lot which can be annoying on a company laptop because you have to go out to your IT team to get admin logins regularly.

I like Bitwarden's good price and the fact that it's open source. The password verification and checking for fraudulent secrets are very reassuring. It's fantastic that it's available as a multiplatform app, making it very easy to use across different devices. I also appreciate the stability of the service—it works consistently well. Setting it up was a breeze; I just had to create an account, log in, and it worked immediately, plus it can synchronize data. The option to use a YubiKey with Bitwarden as an extra security measure is something I really value. I use all the available apps, including the CLI, phone app, and desktop app, and they work seamlessly together.

I like the advanced two-step login, which enhances security. I appreciate that I can have cross-platform access with unlimited devices, making it very versatile. The data breach reports and the ability to use email aliases are features I find really useful. I like everything about Bitwarden, especially the best key management and usage. The ability to import and export vault data is important to me because it helps keep my family safe by having all the data in one place, which is really convenient.

I think the interface is not the prettiest and could be more modern. But it is usable.

**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

I use Bitwarden to save all my logins, passwords, MFA, and bookmarks. It helps me a lot to keep all my information in a single app, accessible on my phone, PC, and any other device via a browser. I like that the interface is really intuitive, allowing me to easily save all my credentials and organize them in different folders. Having my MFA code in the same Bitwarden app is the best thing because other apps like browsers or Google Passwords don't allow me to have both my credentials and MFA in one place, making Bitwarden really easy to use. The setup was really easy and simple.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

I would like them to improve the autofill with the extensions. The option to fill automatically when I open the website doesn't work as expected. I'd prefer it to be more automatic, with no need to click.

**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

I am very much in the digital security space. Bitwarden is the password manager that I normally recommend to people because it is OS agnostic (not tied to a certain OS) and even the free version covers most things a user would need in a password manager, even the paid version is at a very reasonable price. It is an easy recommendation that can hardly go wrong. For those people that are more tech savvy, they can self host Bitwarden. 

Their app interface has improved a lot since last year. They really listened to their users in their community especially in the beginning phase of the change, and took their community feedback seriously. 

I like how users can integrate their email aliasing solutions with Bitwarden (such as DDG email or SL). Bitwaarden has never failed me in my years as a customer.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

Some times, their community mods so not explain things clearly and transparently when people bring up pain points. They say things that contradict what their documents wrote and when pointed out, they ignore what is said. 

Bitwarden also has private investors that they would need to satisfy so I'm reserved as to what could happen in the future for Bitwarden to meet those expectations in the return. Not long ago they increased their price, but thankfully it is still in the reasonable range as of now. 

There are also multiple times where users are signed out of their account out of the blue. No idea why, even when there wasn't an app update nor server update. This can get quite bothersome.

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bitwarden helps me create strong passwords with it's built in password generator. It's easy to use whenever I'm creating an account on a platform as creating a new log in item. I no longer use passwords where I can remember anymore because the built in generator makes one for me on the spot and it automatically saves into the log in item. 

They also have Bitwarden send which comes in handy when I need to share certain sensitive things with my colleagues in a secure way. Before this, I had to use a third party software which is questionable as to how secure and private it really is. Bitwarden is open source and 3rd party audited multiple times so that is reassuring.

Integrations & Performance: The biometrics integration (like Windows Hello and Face ID) works flawlessly, allowing quick access without compromising security. One of the things I really appreciate is that the self-hosted option is available if you choose it (which is somewhat rare) and the fact that you’re able to check the code for yourself matters if you are the type of individual who cares about that sort of thing.

Sharing credentials within an organization can be a little clunky, and while the organization set-up will take you a minute or two to get your head wrapped around, the free plan is limited to one type of device (phone or desktop), which can be frustrating if you’d like to use both types of devices without spending money. I guess it’s a petty complaint, but the generated password popup closes instantly if you accidentally click on anything outside of the popup, and I’ve lost generated passwords that way more times than I care to admit.

I used to store my passwords in a spreadsheet, some were in browser storage, and a handful were scribbled somewhere in a notebook – it was a disaster and wasn’t safe. **What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

I like how easy it is to work with. I’m never annoyed by its interface or the logic it operates on.

It’s fast, and it’s easy to switch over using their flexible import function.

Over almost five years, I’ve only had to contact support three times. Each time, the support has been quick, kind, and—most importantly—efficient, with no follow-up questions about things I’d already covered in the initial email.

Lastly, there’s the price. Considering the value I get not only having my passwords available across different phones, browsers, and PCs, but also having a secure way to share passwords with my family and colleagues it feels like a critical part of what I’m paying for.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

Permissions across several collections is best handled with scripting and the API/CLI. It's fine for the most part, but selective inheritance could make it a bit nicer to work with.

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bitwarden lets us securely store passwords and other notes while still keeping them accessible to everyone in the company, across all of their devices. Before we spent a lot of time hunting for passwords across excel files and OneNote documents.

**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

It is very useful because in the field of cybersecurity, it is not safe to have the same password everywhere. With this software, you can manage many passwords and centralize them so that the user does not have to remember each password they use. Additionally, the UI or user interface is accessible and pleasing to the eye for the user. Moreover, the price is quite affordable for both individual users and companies.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

Although it has integrations with many of the major services that clients might use, it would be good if it included as many as possible in case a client uses a more niche or specific service.

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solve many cybersecurity problems with users because before its implementation many used the same password for everything or even never logged out for fear of not remembering their password. After its implementation, users no longer have to worry about trivial things like remembering multiple passwords, so office performance has improved.

**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

I really found Bitwarden to be more secure for me, it works simply and that's important. What caught my attention at first was the synchronization, which is essential for someone like me who works with technology and needs to use multiple devices. I also use the password generator a lot. Basically, I no longer need to worry about remembering passwords, as they are all generated automatically and saved. This makes the process more secure. And regarding the initial setup, it was really easy.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

The Bitwarden interface looks a bit outdated, with many menus and lists and a design that prioritizes function over form. For a regular user, this might seem intimidating or unattractive at first glance, especially for someone who is not familiar with it.

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bitwarden really makes my passwords more secure and syncs well between devices. The password generator is very useful, it creates automatic and crazy passwords, which are saved without me having to worry.

**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

Bitwarden user interface has been greatly improved and i appreciate its sleekness and how easy it is now to navigate through it. I also appreciate how security threat assessment functions has been made more advanced allowing us to detect and prevent the modern day security threats which are more sophisticated. Bitwarden has introduced an emergency access function that makes it easy to safely recover our accounts and data in cases when we lost our access credentials.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

Bitwarden performance has continued to be impressive. We are yet to discover any part of it that does not suit our needs or that is difficult to work with.

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bitwarden allows us to improve our business data security by helping us setup passwords for all our work devices. It makes it so easy for us to ensure every device is password protected which ensures that only those with the correct authorization can access the device. Also, Bitwarden allows us to setup a secure information sharing space which allows us to share the most sensitive business information securely without any fear of loosing them to cyber security attacks. It has helped us to stay strong against cyber attacks by adding extra layers of protection to all our data especially when sharing them from our work devices.

Bitwarden has very supportive customer success agents who have given me excellent support whenever I’ve needed it. It provides detailed reports and logs that help me understand data access activity, so I can ensure no unauthorized person has accessed my data.

Bitwarden also makes it easy to generate strong passwords to protect my information and restrict access. It keeps me aware of loopholes and vulnerabilities by helping me quickly identify weak passwords that could leave my data exposed. I also appreciate the secure, private information-sharing features, which let me share even highly confidential information safely and privately without fear of losing it.

Integrating Bitwarden with other products I use was simple, and it has worked well with them without performance issues. It provides a secure storage vault that helps me store sensitive information safely, and it gives me easy access to security health metrics so I have clear visibility into how secure my data is.

Bitwarden makes password management straightforward. I can create new passwords, delete any password I need to, and keep everything stored in one secure place. It syncs across all my devices, so I can access my passwords from anywhere. The interface is intuitive and clean, which makes it easy to navigate and use all the available functions.

Having one master password to secure everything else means I don’t have to remember every individual password. It has also allowed me to use different types of security access, like passkeys and biometrics, not just passwords. Overall, Bitwarden helps me keep testing password strength to ensure my passwords are capable of keeping my data safe at all times.

I’ve never had any challenges with Bitwarden. It offers everything I need, and I honestly don’t have anything more to ask for. I don’t have any dislikes.

I particularly use and value the share password feature in the Bitwarden web app, and the ability to filter passwords based on categories is helpful. I think the single sign-on could be improved, especially when using the browser extension. It would be better if SSO could be used on the extension.

Simplicity! The ability to save unique passwords for all sites and use passkeys and OTP.

Bitwarden protects your passwords by using encryption keys generated from your master password, it is open source and has the code independently verified, which builds a stronger ecosystem.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

Bitwarden has a feature to generate a report for compromised passwords, you can also see them if you click onto the account within logins in the addon, it will display "Change at-risk password".

It would be good if these accounts were clearly marked a different colour in the logins list, or the compromised ones appeared at the top in a different colour, just creating more visibility and prompting for people to fix the compromises.

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1) Ability to remember one complex master password and use MFA with access to account passwords.
2) Ability to have unique passwords per site, meaning if the site is compromised, not all accounts are.
3) Access to passwords either via the cloud, or stored in the applications cache when offline.
4) Ability to "share" passwords via collections with other family or staff.
5) Ability to see when the login was created / last updated to ensure passwords are rotated frequently.
6) Free premium accounts for staff members as a perk of the organisation.

The UI/UX has always been their lowest characteristic. It's always felt very outdated, and while they have started giving it a higher priority this year, it still feels a bit outdated. A lot better than before though and you can tell that they're working towards improving it.

I think all password managers solve the same problem. It prevents time waste by removing the need to memorize passwords, and it increases security by generating and storing really random passwords.

It´s just too easy and convenient to use. I have integrated both my personal and non-personal passwords because again, its just too convenient. At first it was a bit slow but after a short period and using the edge integration I got used to it in no time.

I do not think there are downsides, it was fairly easy though a bit slow to initially setup, but apart from that it was very straightforward

It´s mainly, remembering passwords and having them in a secure vault. It´s still being implemented but before we had sticky notes or notebooks but I did not think it was very secure.

I really appreciate that Bitwarden offers a EU domain which fully complies with GDPR law and the European spirit. Their security posture is commendable since it succeeds where other companies have faced data breaches. I also love that they follow the KISS principle, doing one thing and doing it well. The secret sharing feature is a recent discovery for me, and I love it because it's the best way to securely transmit a secret without relying on third parties. The password generator history has been a lifesaver a few times, especially when I mistakenly thought a password had changed. Additionally, the onboarding process was seamless, easy, and quick, making the transition smooth. Lastly, Bitwarden is the preferred choice over Zoho Vault for our team.

Honestly I have no complaints about the software or service.
