"Bitly Makes Link Sharing Clean, Trackable, and Easy to Manage"
What do you like best about Bitly?

What I Appreciate about Bitly was how it simplified link management while still giving useful tracking visibility across different communication channels. During operational coordination, documentation sharing, campaign updates, and project communication activities, long URLs often became difficult to manage and looked unprofessional in emails, chat messages, and presentations.

The branded short-link capability was especially useful because it made shared links look cleaner and more trustworthy. That became important while sharing engineering documents, project resources, onboarding references, and operational materials across internal and external communication workflows.

I also liked the analytics functionality. Being able to quickly check click activity, engagement trends, and link performance helped improve visibility into which resources were actually being accessed. That was unexpectedly useful during documentation sharing and communication follow-up activities.

Another strong feature was the ability to update destination URLs without changing the shortened link itself. That saved time when files, dashboards, or resource locations changed after links had already been distributed across multiple channels.

The QR-code generation tools were also practical because they simplified sharing resources through presentations, printed materials, and mobile-access workflows. From a UI/UX standpoint, the platform feels lightweight, fast, and easy to adopt without requiring much training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitly?

One limitation I noticed is that some advanced analytics, branded-domain options, and larger-scale management features are locked behind higher-tier pricing plans.

Managing large numbers of links can also become slightly difficult over time because search and categorization options could be more flexible for high-volume usage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"On-brand links, more trust from leads, and good performance analytics"
What do you like best about Bitly?

1. Bitly is just very easy to use.

2. Branded short links. Before, we used generic shorteners or HubSpot links, and they looked a bit cheap. With Bitly, we can use lookalike branded domain, which looks way more trustworthy and on-brand.

3. I like that we can track clicks and see what kind of content gets more engagement. It helps us understand what works better.

4. If the destination page changes, we can update the link without replacing it everywhere. Love that. That saves time, especially considering the fact that we use same links across a few campaigns.

P.S. Love their marketing newsletter! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitly?

I haven’t really had any negative experience with them. I do realize that I’m probably underusing our subscription, and there are a few more things for us to explore. So maybe just a soft nudge or some kind of educational newsletter series with tips on how to get the most out of the subscription. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple and Professional Link Sharing"
What do you like best about Bitly?

I use Bitly to shorten links and share them easily with clients and agents on my real estate team. I like how simple it is to use, and I really appreciate how quick and straightforward the initial setup was. We rely on shortened links to share RSVP pages with clients for the client appreciation events we host, and to clean up longer URLs we send often—like Email Subscribe links, our Team Blog page, and more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitly?

I don't like how it requires logging in and maxes the number of links you can shorten. I wish they had an easier free option with ads without capping how many short links you can make. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Easy URL Shortening for SMS and Chat Links, Pricing is a little confusing"
What do you like best about Bitly?

The de facto standard for URL shortening. It’s quick and easy to create shortened URLs for SMS campaigns and for embedded chat links. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitly?

Without any warning, they started inserting ads as a splash/landing page before connecting to the target URL. We don’t mind paying for the service since it’s scalable, but there was no notice, and the ads weren’t Bit.ly-related. To the average user, it looked like a scam or virus-style redirect. We ended up having to upgrade our plan just to avoid a bad user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"It is easy to use, it helps me a lot with my funnels and to track sales."
What do you like best about Bitly?

It helps me to shorten links and customize them. I like the function of replacing the link without changing the short one. It is very easy to use, offers metrics, and it's easy to find old links. Additionally, the initial setup was very simple, and I have noticed its progress over the years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitly?

Sometimes I don't know if the reports are accurate and I would like to be notified when there are broken links.

And the plan I currently have seems a bit expensive to me, however, it works well for what I use it for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly URL Shortening with Powerful Free Features"
What do you like best about Bitly?

I really like how easy Bitly is to use. The free version is comprehensive, and as a new user, you don't need to pay for a higher version. For paid users, there's flexibility with the back end of the links and personalization. I also love how user-friendly and straightforward it is for my team, making it easy to implement even for those who aren't tech-savvy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitly?

I think the interface could be a little bit more attractive. It's not necessary, but it takes a little bit of getting used to as a user to know how to use it correctly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple, Convenient Link Tracking with QR Codes and Analytics"
What do you like best about Bitly?

I love that Bitly is simple, convenient, and easy to use. I also appreciate being able to create QR codes and track link analytics so I can see who clicked, how many people engaged, and how my links are performing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitly?

I hate that the links are case sensitive. If you mess up a link, it's a wrap. I usually create all caps or all lowercase links. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Social Team of Bitly

This made our day. Thank you! Knowing exactly who's clicking and how your links are performing is the whole point, so it's great to hear the analytics are delivering real value for you. We'll keep making it even better. 🙌

"Quick QR Code Creation, No Competition"
What do you like best about Bitly?

I like Bitly for its capability of creating custom QR codes and the speed at which I can create them, along with shortening URLs. It's super effective and fast, letting us generate a custom QR code in a minute, which was a big challenge for us before. Plus, I love the ease of customizing the QR codes with our logo and brand guidelines. It's easy to change any links in the QR code as well. The initial setup was quite easy, and we could start using it within a day. Also, I've been impressed with the improvements Bitly consistently makes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitly?

"Easy to Use, Feature-Rich URL Shortening and QR Codes"
What do you like best about Bitly?

It’s incredibly easy to use, and the feature set is a perfect fit for our organization. It covers everything we need, from simple URL shortening to QR code generation for our video and printed collateral. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitly?

There isn’t much to dislike about it. For the price point, I think it offers a ton of features. A few things—like limiting the number of times you can edit a URL after the link has been created—can be a bit restrictive, but overall it hasn’t really been a problem for me.
