The best function is the pay-as-you-go with the queries, which fascinated me. Simpler set-up: the auto indexing on the data dumped. After dumping you are good to go with the querying exercise. If the query is returning the result in the first segment in the Athena storage, it is good in the sense of cost but consider the scenario where it queries the whole dump to get the result. Recommendations to others considering Athena: If you have a large unstructured and want to index it, just go for it. Just keep in mind about the optimizations of the query you are using.
