**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Arts and Crafts | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Behance?**

Behance showcases great examples and projects.

**What do you dislike about Behance?**

The value proposition of Behance is unclear. There was a moment when I wished Behance was "the" site for portfolio updates and shares. The incumbent designers do not want to look at someone's Behance account, so designers do not have a good motivation to update their Behance accounts. As a social media platform, it is not the first place I'd visit.

**What problems is Behance solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Early in my design career, I used Behance to showcase my work and check out good examples. It was helpful to see others' projects and work. However, the added value was limited because only a fraction of established designers would share their work on Behance.

  ### 9. Excellent option for getting exposure

Behance has a huge audience so by creating a portfolio you can reach a large audience quickly.

**What do you dislike about Behance?**

The customization options are more limited as compared to creating a portfolio on your own website where you have full control over the layout.

**Recommendations to others considering Behance:**

Behance is a great option for an online portfolio, but I would recommend using it in addition to your own portfolio site not instead of having your own site.

**What problems is Behance solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Behance makes it possible for freelancers and creatives to reach people that they otherwise would not be able to reach. The biggest benefit is exposure.

  ### 10. Incredible for presenting portfolios!

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Behance?**

I love the customization features and how simple it is to set up an account. Also, the custom links are a nice touch.

It also allows me to reach more potential customers.

**What do you like best about Behance?**

Versatility, no matter what branch of design you have studied. You can create your portfolio on behance for free

**What do you dislike about Behance?**

It has tips to create good posts, but in mobile you can lose adaptability.

**What problems is Behance solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- International visibility of my best work
- Behance is a standard for designers. If you're not on Behance you don't exist
- I can share my work and see the work of other professionals.

  ### 12. A solution to a problem I didn't really have

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Behance?**

It's visually interesting, and as a sort of "inspiration board", it's marginally useful.

**What do you dislike about Behance?**

As a creative, I'm unclear who comes to the site. There are so many different venues for folks to showcase their work, I'm not sure how many people may think, "I need a new source of imagery. I know! I'll go to Behance...." I guess what I don't like is that it seems undifferentiated.

**Recommendations to others considering Behance:**

Make sure you have a use-case for the product.

**What problems is Behance solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I suppose we're solving a need for an online portfolio, but so far, it's been a solution in search of a problem, for us.

The ability to showcase my design work in a minimal way. The outreach it gets me. It helps me reach global audience and helps me understand what can I improve on or what works.

**What do you dislike about Behance?**

I cannot select the audience to whom I want to make it visible. It's easy to copy design work and claim its yours so I would love some privacy and copyright options around it.

**Recommendations to others considering Behance:**

Overall its a great platform try it! Also, its a great way to learn what others are doing in the design industry and how you can improve yourself to compete with it.

**What problems is Behance solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding a job, building my own brand. Also getting a global outreach. Connecting with like-minded designers or artists.
