# Which presales tools automate proposal generation and technical evaluation for organizations evaluating solutions?

Two jobs here that don't always live in the same tool: generating documents fast, and structuring the technical evaluation itself. Where the review evidence points:

Opine AI Presales Platform: the strongest on document automation. A reviewer said template-based document generation for handoffs and win/loss reports "used to take me hours" and "now only takes three clicks and maybe two minutes." Pair that with its AI pulling from calls and Slack.

Homerun Presales Platform: the standout for structured technical evaluation. Its "Evaluation Plans" let SEs set success criteria with the prospect and track POC progress consistently across deals.

Provarity: purpose-built for POV/technical validation with health scoring, though on a small review base.

One caveat worth naming: these are presales workspaces, so "proposal generation" here means evaluation-plan and handoff-document automation, not full RFP/proposal software. If you need formal proposal docs, confirm that specific output in a demo. Which matters more to you: the document output, or the evaluation structure behind it?

The evaluation structure, because the document is downstream of it. A handoff or win-loss report is mostly a restatement of what was agreed and observed during the POC, so if success criteria were captured as the evaluation ran, the document assembles itself from existing fields. If they were not, a good template just gives you a well-formatted place to write from memory a week later. Homerun's Evaluation Plans setting criteria with the prospect is what makes an Opine-style three-click output possible in the first place.

Both matter, but they're often different strengths in different tools; document generation speeds up output while structured evaluation plans are what actually move deals forward. Worth checking which your team spends more time on before deciding where to start.
