BeaconProduct Description
Beacon will transform common obstacles and challenges with simple and efficient solutions to solve everyday challenges. Collaborating with agencies and planholders, we are going to streamline the procurement sourcing and response process. To do so, we are going to improve accessibility into the public market for all businesses, even those without the resources to pay for opportunities or sacrifice their own personal data in order to respond to bids.
We believe that agencies shouldn't have to settle for eprocurement solutions that may solve a budget problem by supposedly being free or low cost, but have negative effects in providing equal access for all companies looking to access the public sector market, thereby limiting the potential response from planholders.
We've made planholder registration completely free -- meaning that all companies have to do is easily fill out a simple form, receive attachments by email. In turn, municipalities can view who is downloading their solicitations, quickly communicate updates to planholders through Beacon, and have an accurate history of solicitations all in one place. Planholders aren't asked to pay a fee or register for a subscription, nor is their information sold to 3rd parties.
Based on our experience and understanding how subscription-based bid aggregators work, we're also working on an API so that bid aggregators can access all of the bids posted within the Beacon Bid Network, while also automatically capturing planholder data of companies accessing bids through their platforms. This will give agencies a direct line of communication with planholders who are viewing their bids -- no matter where they found the solicitation.
