I like the functionality of calculating how many vacation days I will have for a particular date, I find it very useful. I also like the layout of BambooHR, as I can find everything easily and clearly. I think that the management of the goals, although clear, could improve. I would like a sub-feature to be implemented that allows for more granular, day-to-day tracking of how these goals are being met. It would be good to give visibility to both the user and the leader about the status of the goals in real-time, and not just wait until the semi-annual or annual review. Additionally, I know that I have to manage vacations through BambooHR and also put them in a Google Calendar. It would be ideal if there were better integration to avoid this additional step. As I explained earlier, I use the vacation calculation tool a lot as well as the goals and the 1:1. One of the greatest assets of BambooHR is its simplicity. Now, don't get that confused with it being basic. There is so much to BambooHR including a log of my development and learning, with a really smooth performance and easy to use planning features.

I also love how I have many different areas to break up all of the aspects of my day to day role and the integration between company policy and simple to use signature requests. I just today found my company handbook to sign off through its integration with Outlook.

But it's not a mess of features and functions. It's clean and clear and easy to find what you need to find. All of this tied up in a really reasonable pricing package.

I think for me, it would probably be the time off the way that it is calculated on, like, your available balance. It doesn't subtract the balance until after those days are used. It’s an easy and flexible way to store and access all HRIS information in one application. I can view everything in a single location, which makes it much simpler to stay organized. There are limitations when it comes to storing information and sharing it across the organization. I’d like to be able to see exactly who I’ve shared information with, so I can confirm that all employees have access—for example, to the employee handbook during the onboarding phase of hiring. I use BambooHR to book my holidays easily. I find it super easy to segment staff by location or other filters to gather birthdays and anniversaries for internal communications. I find it easy to use except for the fact there is no calendar for holiday or an annual position that is displayed easily. That is too hard and I have to have a spreadsheet separately for my own personal use. Seeing what your holiday position is could be easier. There could be a calendar view with what has been booked and what your remaining balance is. It's too annoying at the moment to view as separate instances and then view your balance by picking a date in the future.
