## Azure Batch Reviews
  ### 1. Good for software testing & VFX rendering

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2020

**What do you like best about Azure Batch?**

Best thing is that I pay for how long these services are running in cloud.
We can provision as many nodes we want but give a minimum and maximum limit.

**What do you dislike about Azure Batch?**

Nothing specific. Some more option in management of batch processes will be handy

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Batch:**

If anyone looking to do software testing , rendering etc and don't want to invest in resources on massive scale azure batch gives flexibility and scalability to spin up resources click of a button and most importantly only pay for how long they are used which can be automated.

**What problems is Azure Batch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We do lot of software testing for which we have to provision multiple machines so that they can run parallel jobs on them. Provisioning and procuring these= servers can take lot of time. With azure batch services it just a matter of creating pool.

  ### 2. Custom pipelines with batch accounts.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Azure Batch?**

Timeout request! yeah, I know you have addressed at least one time with this issue! when you are developing your endpoints and it is taking a good time consuming, you have to consider if you need and mortal endpoint implementation. What you can evaluate for this likelihood batch process it is Azure batch account, you can create different lights VMs and throw azure factory and blobstorage run your .NET codes for populate or update your DB.

You are able to use this tool from Data factory V1 it means that V2 is easier how you can start with the running pipeline's implementation.

what this tool makes for you is zip your mains dll and store that in a specific container of your storage account, if you want to redeploy your solution you only need to replace that zip.

**What do you dislike about Azure Batch?**

if you want to do a service integration where this on-premise needs add your IP in a white list you will need to do a complicated VPN configuration, why? VM is running behind works only in the private azure network and if try to get this public IP you will have different IP pools each specific time.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Batch:**

it integrates as a three-party service within Azure marketplace.

**What problems is Azure Batch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sometimes serverless is no so good to run a heavy request, for example, a huge table update or insert. it means that we have addressed with a more powerful machine. The data factory has an easy wizard to implement this two setting process. don't hesitate to evaluate this useful backend tool!

  ### 4. Parallel High Performance Computing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** suresh s. | Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Batch?**

Batch functions admirably with characteristically parallel remaining tasks at hand. Characteristically parallel outstanding burdens are those where the applications can run autonomously, and each case finishes some portion of the work. At the point when the applications are executing, they may get to some regular information, however they don't speak with different cases of the application. Inherently parallel remaining tasks at hand can in this way keep running at a vast scale, controlled by the measure of figure assets accessible to run applications all the while.

**What do you dislike about Azure Batch?**

Software test evaluation with azure batch is not scalable and optimized . And all the data necessary operations are necessary to compute before any batch operations .

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Batch:**

Scheduling serious tasks and progressively include or expel process assets dependent on your prerequisites by using azure batch services .

**What problems is Azure Batch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Batch as a platform administration to fabricate SaaS applications or customer apps where large-scale execution is required.

**What do you like best about Azure Batch?**

Not only is this a secure and transparent cloud based system for any provider, but it's also an open source. This allows the system to be compatible with systems already being used at work. It also great that it's free at first so you can determine whether or not it's a right fit for your company. They were able to customize the program to work with my current apps, etc. The tutorials are also extremely helpful when trying to develop skills in using the program.

**What do you dislike about Azure Batch?**

**What do you like best about Azure Batch?**

It allows to setup elastic job pools which can be triggered programmatically (using .Net SDK,...) with auto scaling up and out.

**What do you dislike about Azure Batch?**

There is no support of managed service identity for azure batch resources.

**What problems is Azure Batch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows to setup elastic job pools which can be triggered programmatically (using .Net SDK,...) with auto scaling up and out. This helps to kick off jobs as and when required with the required number of threads pools as the demand is high and remove those additional pools when the load is lighter depending on CPU percentage metrics and others.
