Before using it, I had to go into each account one by one and set up rules by hand. That was slow, easy to mess up, and very tiring. With Firewall Manager, I write the rule once and it goes everywhere. This alone saves me hours every week. **What do you dislike about AWS Firewall Manager?** What I dislike about AWS Firewall Manager is that it can be hard to understand at first, especially for beginners. The setup process and policy configuration feel complex and not very user friendly, so it takes time to get comfortable with how everything fits together. When something doesn’t work as expected, it can also be difficult to troubleshoot and figure out where the issue is coming from. Another downside is that the pricing isn’t very clear, and it can become expensive depending on usage. AWS Firewall Manager charges you per policy, per region, per account every month. In my job, I manage security for over 30 AWS accounts. Before AWS Firewall Manager, every time a new security rule had to be added whether it was a new WAF rule or a new Security Group policy I had to go into each account manually and repeat the same steps again and again. It was slow, boring, and very easy to miss one account. One missed account means one open door for an attacker, and that is not acceptable in security work. We can also protect the entire organization of vulnerabilities by subscribing to a Managed Rule for WAF from the AWS Marketplace that provides CVE patch updates and at the same integrate well with monitoring and alerting so my security team can be notified of threats and respond faster than before to avoid an attack. **What do you dislike about AWS Firewall Manager?** We haven't found something to dislike in the AWS WAF service, it is an amazing solution for our needs and functions better than any other service we have used before. **What problems is AWS Firewall Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has done a great job protecting our organization's users while they surf the web using conditions that we set and also we are able to block web based threat with AWS WAF ### 42.
