What do you like best about Awin?
Managing affiliate and creator partnerships, Awin has become the backbone of how we track and pay out roughly 20 active creators across cruise/travel, Disney, GLP-1/wellness, and motion sickness verticals.
UI / UX
The dashboard itself is functional rather than flashy, but the parts I use daily work reliably. Setting up deep links is straightforward: I can drop in an unwrapped destination URL and Awin handles the tracking wrapper automatically, which saves me from manually building tracking links for every new creator. Coupon code tracking is a standout feature for us since a lot of our creators promote with a discount code rather than a link. Attribution on codes works independently of click tracking, so we don't lose sales just because someone typed in HEATHER20 instead of clicking through.
Integrations
We migrated to Awin from ShareASale, and the switch was worth it mainly because of the platform's publisher network. Creators who are already on Awin from other brand deals can join our program through a simple express signup link, so onboarding someone who's already active on the platform takes minutes instead of a back-and-forth email chain collecting W9s and payment details.
Performance
Tracking has been dependable. I haven't run into the missed-conversion problems I've heard about with smaller affiliate platforms, and the combination of link and code tracking gives me a fuller picture of what a creator is actually driving, not just what gets clicked.
Pricing / ROI
The commission structure is simple to manage on our end: standard 15% affiliate rate with room to negotiate elevated tiers for top performers. Because the reporting breaks down by publisher, I can quickly identify which creators are worth moving to an elevated commission versus which ones are underperforming and shouldn't get a paid deal.
Support / Onboarding
Publisher approval controls have been genuinely useful for keeping the program clean. I can decline sub-networks, coupon aggregators, and misaligned publishers upfront rather than discovering after the fact that a chunk of our "affiliate sales" were actually just people who would have bought anyway.
AI / Intelligence
This is the area with the most room to grow. Awin's reporting is solid for pulling raw numbers, but it doesn't do much in the way of surfacing insights or flagging trends on its own. I'm still the one manually connecting the dots between which verticals convert best or which creators are worth scaling.
Unexpected benefit
Building the program essentially from scratch, the biggest surprise was how much manual tracking Awin eliminated. Before, cross-referencing promo codes against sales would've been a spreadsheet nightmare with 15+ creators running different codes simultaneously. Awin just handles it. What do you dislike about Awin?
The biggest recurring pain point has been my publisher profiles not publishing correctly.
Response times from support can also be slower than I'd like at times, especially when I'm trying to troubleshoot something time-sensitive like a tracking issue right before a creator's content goes live. A day or two of delay on a support ticket can mean missed attribution on a post that's already out.
The platform itself isn't especially intuitive for the influencers I work with. I regularly get messages from creators asking for help navigating their own dashboard, understanding how to grab their tracking link, or figuring out why a sale isn't showing up yet. For a program built around non-technical creators rather than seasoned affiliate marketers, the onboarding experience could be simplified so I'm not acting as the de facto support line for basic platform navigation.
