After researching various solutions, to meet budget requirements, and in order to minimise dependence on hardware security keys (and the associated risks) while providing proven security, we were very happy to find the solution IDEE offer. It's straight forward to implement and their support are on hand for any specific requests (if you ever need them). We are even considering bundling this product in with our standard service offerings. **What do you dislike about AuthN by IDEE?** IDEE are a smaller team, which could be seen as a risk. However, it can also be a benefit - they're agile. As they are addressing a serious gap in the market and offer methods to provide resilience , I'm not too worried (their use of Blockchain to remove dependency on their infrastructure in one example). It would be great to see them build traction and scale up to keep improving their products and resilience **What problems is AuthN by IDEE solving and how is that benefiting you?** Much more effective security and protection against phishing attacks, other forms of account take over, and Adversary in The Middle (AiTM) attacks. Doesn't require other devices to achieve the same level of security. Your team don't need to use their smartphones or be given hardware key(s), which gets very expensive very quickly! Accessible price point. Other large and widely recognised vendors have a minimum commitment, and remain costly, making them too expensive for many SME's budget requirements. Simple to implement/integrate. Everyone is talking about MFA, but it is often forgotten that the classic MFA solutions using push, OTP, SMS, etc. are not phishing-proof. AuhtN by IDEE has solved this issue perfectly and provides a phishing-proof MFA solution. In addition to the pure MFA function, it is also easy for the user, because the introduction of AuthN by IDEE also eliminates the annoying work with long passwords that must be constantly changed. All in all, a clear recommendation if you are serious about protecting your users' accounts against phishing and password hashing! **What do you dislike about AuthN by IDEE?** In special situations, I miss some features. Unfortunately, it does not work without the administrator if the user does not have a mobile device. But there is a balancing act between security and user-friendliness. Of course, safety comes first here. Recent experience: If you have to re-register in GeTIDEE, it is often difficult for the user to understand why. It is also difficult to understand why there have to be several runs. Easy for everyone to use. Setting up for Microsoft Online didn't even take me 15 minutes. As an admin, prepare everything and then let the users go through the 8 steps and everyone is happy. Further setup for VPN and EAP is still to come. But it looks just as easy as the first integration. Additional devices are easy to integrate. Go to log in on the first notebook and then when the IDEE prompt comes up, simply select the "additional devices" option below. Scan the QR code with the other device and do the security check and you're good to go. I am more than satisfied. Passwords and multi-factor are great, but the risk is still there since passwords are the ultimate risk. With AuthN we can white label our multi-factor passwordless authenticator, ENHALO Authenticator, and without the need for a password securely gain access to our security tools. This allows us to have the multi-factor security in place which our customers demand while also protecting our passwords that do not exist. The onboarding of a user is extremely fast and requires no technical knowledge or involvement. **What do you dislike about AuthN by IDEE?** The integration into Azure AD/Microsoft 365 requires the selected authentication domain to be federated. This means that every user under a @yourdomain.com is covered and there are no exclusions. This can be seen as both a negative, in many ways a positive. **Recommendations to others considering AuthN by IDEE:** The only consideration I would have is whether full domain federation on Azure AD/Microsoft 365 is a deal-breaker, but for us, this was the most important thing. Since there is no password to key-log this means that wherever we sign in we can rest assured that at most the username is visible.
