Intuitive interface. Arena's graphical user interface makes it easier to find the parts and requests I am looking for. There are no codes and numbers to be remembered to access specific parts.

It is easier to get started with as a new user and the new AI search features make life easier when looking for specific details that might be buried deeper inside. The search needs to improve. There should be options to query multiple parts at a time by pasting a list using some type of Excel integration in some way that can take an excel BOM and provide details for each part number Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes I find it hard to find records or documents if I dont know their exact item or record number. The search requires you to know the exact name of something youre looking for which I found hard to navigate when I started using Arena. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The attributes that I like best about Arena are the Cloud-based architecture, support, user interface, and integration with Onshape. Additionally, no IT infrastructure is required making Arena a great choice for firms looking for a PLM system that is robust, cost efficient, and scalable. We moved on from a tool that our organization had outgrown. Arena’s PLM tool capability will allow us to continue growing without the restrictions of a more basic tool. Having different spaces within the tool for items, requests, changes, suppliers, files, and so on means you know exactly where to look for the file or data you need, while also avoiding being overwhelmed by too many results. As with any PLM tool, there’s a learning curve to really understand how to use it. Arena has supported this well with training videos, but the platform still requires discipline and staying up to date with the training, as it isn’t always intuitive. We’ve also had the opportunity to customize certain processes and fields; however, there have been occasions when we haven’t been able to make the adjustments we requested. I use Arena PLM & QMS to manage documents and control revisions effectively. The structured yet flexible workflows match real-world processes and maintain traceability without slowing teams down. I appreciate that engineering, quality, and supply chain all work off the same product record, reducing version confusion and chaos. The system's filters, sorting, and export options save me time in finding and managing the exact documents I need. The revision control option is helpful for tracking changes, and storing regulatory documents in Arena ensures easy access. Additionally, the tool requires no heavy IT overhead, enabling teams across locations to work in the same environment without friction. There's some friction in search and data retrieval if you don't know exactly how something is named or structured, finding the right item, document, or record can take longer than it should. And when I try to export some data, some of the units are missing in the exported Excel, like if there are some items starting with '0', those are exported without zero, and it is taking more time to export. What I like best about Arena PLM & QMS is that it keeps product data, change management, and quality processes in one centralized system. It makes collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams much more efficient. The cloud-based platform is easy to access and simplifies working with external partners. One drawback is that the user interface feels somewhat dated and could be more intuitive, especially for new users. Integrations with other engineering and business tools often require additional effort or customization. Performance can occasionally slow down when working with large datasets or complex product structures. Finally, adding more AI-driven features, such as smarter search, automated change impact analysis, and workflow recommendations, would further improve the overall experience. The system is very easy to use, especially if you have the document numbers of certain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) on hand. On most workdays Arena is never down. The least helpful thing is definitely when Arena is down on Sundays. I usually work on Sundays and it seems like there are always updates to Arena on those days without any prior notification or email about it which hinders my work throughout the day. I really appreciate how Arena PLM & QMS brings everything together in one centralized place. It makes it much easier to manage product information, track changes, and maintain clear documentation. The workflows are straightforward, and the system helps improve accuracy and consistency across teams. I especially like how quickly I can find the data I need and how Arena keeps everyone aligned throughout the product lifecycle. Overall, it has made our processes more organized, efficient, and reliable.

One area that could be improved in Arena PLM & QMS is the overall ease of navigation. Some screens feel a bit cluttered, and certain actions require more clicks than expected, especially when moving between BOMs, changes, and item records. While everything is functional, simplifying the interface and streamlining common workflows would make the system even more efficient. There is a lot of workflow and approval stages for the ECNs which can be improved. And searching for all documents sometimes becomes a little difficult. And sometimes, I feel customizations are a little limited in the search option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
