Incorporating a node design, for construction would improve the workflow and make integrating elements even easier. **What problems is AppOnboard Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?** Poficiency in Adobe After Effects is necessary to create clips for use in this software, which poses a problem for those with the program. The support team does not promptly solve concerns and questions raised by users, like yourself there is indeed a learning curve involved in grasping all of the softwares features. ### 2. The visual node design makes it incredibly easy to connect elements and ensure a workflow. It's often difficult to showcase UI in an advertisement, but this brings the experience right to the viewer. The Studio program itself is being constantly updated to add intuitive steps to the workflow and the explainer tutorials can help in any situation so you can really create anything that you can imagine. **What do you dislike about AppOnboard Studio?** I think for designers it would be nice to have the playable construction based on a node workflow type interface. The current building method is based on dropdown menus and the vocabulary can make me take pause. With a visual node design you could incorporate connecting arrows from one video clip to the next and feel confident that you incorporating elements correctly and are using your time efficiently. **Recommendations to others considering AppOnboard Studio:** Have a grasp on Adobe After Effects to create all your clips to be put into Studio. **What problems is AppOnboard Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?** Showing the viewer how engaging our storytelling is. We can incorporate the interactivity of our stories like choose-your-own-adventure in ways we could not do with any other advertisement. ### 4. I can quickly throw together any level of complicated playables; the ability to pivot to the different partners is so useful.AOBs ability to give me the WYSIWYG platform for making playables with my lack of coding background is invaluable and allows me to compete in a growing market - and makes it accessible to those who need this ability to pivot as well. **What do you dislike about AppOnboard Studio?** The downsides to AOB are less about what I dislike, and more how of it functions for building out playables. For instance, there is a lot of creative planning that goes into making a decent and viable playable for publishing. Also, the asset optimizations required are a little vague throughout the process, and required me to reach out to our Account Reps to get a better understanding of the best methods for optimization. Of course they responded well and timely, however I think some of the optimizations could have been specified more clearly in the "publishing" area OR a manual with clearer examples and presets for best practices to be supplied along with the software. The training did include some of this and the Best Practices hand-guide explained some of these details, however there were parts missing that caused issues with compression and publishing file sizes that were unclear before speaking to our reps. **Recommendations to others considering AppOnboard Studio:** Honestly, really easy to use and very good value to any company looking to advertise via playable. The account reps are very friendly, easy to chat with directly and available within 24hours notice, and are not afraid to hear questions or feedback on improving software for the needs of the user. **What problems is AppOnboard Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?** Playables and Prototyping - the benefit is a drastic reduction on development teams to create working prototypes via scripting and code based production and allow our creative teams the ability to pivot and present ideas more fluently, efficiently, and get us end results quicker that help steer dev teams with clearer purpose and data-based reasoning, and to reduce the overall timeline production. ### 5. As a Motion Graphic Artist, I don't usually have to think about coding, but with AOB, I feel confident about turning my artwork into interactive experiences. **What do you dislike about AppOnboard Studio?** I don't dislike anything about AOB. There are some suggestions about the tool that I have suggested to the team, but generally everything runs very smoothly. I think it would be good moving forward to have less size limitations for the publishing of playables on ironSource and Facebook. 2 MB is very small to make a playable with a lot of video content, without decreasing the quality of the videos. That is something I definitely struggled with. **Recommendations to others considering AppOnboard Studio:** I AOB is perfectly templatized and easy to use for people who don't have any experience coding. I would recommend having design experience, but the interface is easy to use to create new playables that look high quality. **What problems is AppOnboard Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?** I've never been able to make a playable before because I didn't know how to. It's very beneficial to my work to be able to make a playable with my own assets without relying on an outside agency to make one. ### 6. It removes the confusion, the headaches, and the coding for us designers. I am able to create simple and yet very engaging creatives that can connect to many new users. **What do you dislike about AppOnboard Studio?** Some of the dislikes are very nitpicky for someone like me who has been using Adobe products for years. Such as not being able to move the windows the way I like it to make my workflow easier and quicker. A good part of my issues is mainly workflow related and UI related. However, the AppOnBoard team has been listening to suggestions I have given to them and are always updating their program. **Recommendations to others considering AppOnboard Studio:** Talk to the AppOnBoard team if you have any questions or would like to learn. A lot of the questions of where do I start or how do I even create a playable that I've seen have been eliminated thanks to AppOnBoard Studio. I can focus on the storyboard on what I want my creatives to be and put it all together without needing to worry about the coding side of things. ### 7. It's very exciting to see new technology that helps you export to so many different outputs, making it easy to create HTML content! The idea that you can use this to easily A/B test for new features in existing games is exciting. **What do you dislike about AppOnboard Studio?** There are areas where studio can use improvement in refining existing features. There are also minor features that would help use experience overall(drag&drop), like a stronger compression for files that are exported without losing too much of the quality. **Recommendations to others considering AppOnboard Studio:** You have to put in time to learn about the features, but once you learn the ropes you'll find that it's very easy to use. Remember to prepare your assets as best as you can outside studio, and think of Studio as the glue that stitches your work together, rather than a program where you complete your work. **What problems is AppOnboard Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?** We're able to iterate small changes easily on playables that should help us in our data. I haven't personally seen any data supporting this yet, but that could definitely lead into helping us solve problems or realizing what market we're appealing to for example. If we iterate 5 different messages for the same game, we could see what demographic we should be targeting more for example. ### 8. I think this is a good method of learning the product. I like that I can view the playable and interact with it on my phone after creating it. **What do you dislike about AppOnboard Studio?** The biggest down side might not have much to do with the Studio but more so with the companies the playables are posted on - It is very frustrating to downsize your files to fit the file limitations needed for Apple/Google, etc. I find it difficult to get my files to the correct size for uploading. **Recommendations to others considering AppOnboard Studio:** Make many playables once you start learning so that you can pick up the program easier.
