    Ubuntu review by Henry J.
"Ubuntu the best Linux based system: Personally, what I liked the most about Ubuntu is that we can use it at work for free because operating systems based on the Linux kernel do not require a license or subscription to use them. If we use the official Ubuntu version we can enjoy a desktop based on GNOME (although we can choose from several more), this desktop is the closest to a Mac desktop that I have seen in a Linux system but personally I think more a combination of Mac and Windows in terms of aesthetics. From a Linux system we can really do the same things as under Windows 10 but we will probably need alternative applications to do so since Windows programs (.exe) do not work under Linux unless they are cross-platform. Regarding the performance in my experience is superior to Windows, I think that in large part is because Linux systems do not require Antivirus and this service usually consumes many resources when used under Windows."

"Enterprise Operating System: The system packages are tried and time-tested which means you won't get the bleeding edge versions, but you can count on them working. The RHEL community is large and Red Hat support is generally responsive to cases. The GUI in the desktop version is definitely a little older, but this is not meant to be a gaming platform, it's meant to be an enterprise OS for stability and security. The server is one of the only OS's I'll use in production. "

What I like the most about Fedora is how to install the applications, which do not need to be searched online, since they are installed from a repository using the command console or using the Marketplace graphically, where we can find thousands of software applications that have been tested by the community and by the Fedora team to ensure that the software is free of malicious code and also works properly. I also liked that Fedora is very customizable and through changes in the theme, fonts and icons we are able to obtain an operating system totally different from the one presented to us by default."

Additionally, previous OS was much expensive to compare with Linux so as per budgeting we huritn a lot more than expected. Control and OS management very hand taking activity but in Linux, this help our infrastructure and DBA team a lot. They are more comfortable to manage this OS. As we are leading courier company in Pakistan so software are our back bone so our development team required fast performance and virus free server always which help business accordingly. As we are using large oracle database and Linux is excellent collaboration with this. "

"OpenSUSE Linux Best for SOHO, SMB: Leap 42.2 is my VPS Linux OS of choice (as well local LAN-connected machines). Summary: Manageability via YAST. You can run a solid system and not be FT professional sysadmin! OpenSUSE instances are used for personal productivity (and in a mixed Windows 10 / Linux environment that is local and remote) and some small business projects. I'm not directly an IT professional, so minimizing the number of hours I have to manage my systems is critical. Over several years I've grown to really appreciate OpenSUSE. Having started with Ubuntu I migrated to OpenSUSE on the recommendation of a friend and have never looked back. It's easy to manage and it's rock solid. I now have good recipes for remote access over SSH supporting both X11 and VNC. (And my OpenSUSE desktop is the memory-saving Xfce.) The OpenSUSE deployment is now a real productivity tool for me. YAST is key to easy management. In fact I found that OpenSUSE has had fewer problems than I experienced with Ubuntu. OpenSUSE has market momentum and enough attention of user experience that it's a terrific choice for the savvy non-IT specialist. Note that "savvy non-IT specialist" means you are now responsible for security and backup and access -- but these are non-trivial challenges for any computer system!"

The mint menu behaves exactly like I expect and allows me to open software without grabbing the mouse if I so choose. Enough configuration to handle standard use cases without an intimidating array of extra choices. This is one of my go-to recommendation for new Linux users because it's friendly and supported like Ubuntu while using a good, distinctive but also traditional DE. "

"Linux operating system that just works: The continuous updates and most up-to-date versions of software. There is no big bang update that often leads to the need to complete reinstall like in Ubuntu and similar distros. The operating system has a minimal footprint and hardware requirements. There is a built-in support for even proprietary hardware drivers. As opposed to Archlinux on which Manjaro is based, the packages have a longer bake time in the community and there is an easy to use graphical installer. It is also possible to use binary WiFi driver during the installation. There are also many packages in the community, I never faced a need to build anything from scratch on my own."

    Arch review by Louis H.
"Arch, an operating system with the latest updates: What I liked the most about Archlinux is that when installing it the user selects and installs only those programs that he needs and nothing else, I have used many operating systems and they all come with applications that I never use but I can not uninstall and personally it is very annoying because they occupy space unnecessarily, This with Archlinux has been solved to the point that the user chooses which desktop to use. (CInnamon, GNOME, KDE ...) Another aspect to highlight Archlinux is its community, which is by far the most active after Ubuntu, which is surprising because ArchLinux is far from being one of the most used operating systems, its position in the ranking is 9. The facility to update the system is also something that characterizes Archlinux, we must simply execute a command from the terminal and confirm that we want to update, unlike the popular belief, update Archlinux is very safe and in the many years that I have been using it has never been damaged."

" Excellent platform: Robust platform for managing operations, databases, applications, information security, excellent performance in virtualization to manage several technological systems individually. The ideal is to use within a SUN full environment, in my experience in administration of this technology, SPARCS S7-2 management, great performance in terms of database management, in addition to the above, we combine with a SUN Storage for more power in terms of storage, order and control of the different database environments and applications used. Regarding the management of the syntax, it is a more UNIX distribution, with some exclusive operating system sentences such as file management through ZFS."

"Blackberry 10: Compared to Android and iOS mobile operating systems, Blackberry 10 focuses more on workflow and true multitasking, allowing easy copy and paste between programs, something which the other mobile systems continue to lag behind on. Further, the Hub allows all connected accounts from multiple email providers, text messages, phone calls, etc. to all appear in a single view, along with intuitive quick actions to reply or delete messages or view only unread messages. The swipe and peek functions allow users to quickly view (or "peek") at the Hub from any program that is already open so that interruptions in workflow are minimum. Blackberry is also secure and provides encryption on communications in and out of the mobile device."

Xfce review by User in Marketing and Advertising
"A quality Linux Desktop with all of the core necessities: XFCE's best features include portability and completeness. Portability: XFCE is very easy to use for most end users. When looking for a quality desktop experience, most users utilize Ubuntu, but when using other Linux operating systems it is convenient to have an option to easily install a desktop that is easy to use. XFCE will run on anything that handles X11 which gives it almost complete support of all Linux Operating Systems. Completeness: XFCE has everything expected of a base desktop environment. It boasts a full office suite along with basic utilities such as paint, email, music, and web browsing programs. All of the programs boast robust open source communities, and are great quality for a free desktop environment."

It has kernel configurable parameters, some parameters do not need reboot of the system. It can be used with X graphical interface. It can work without rebooting for monthes and even years. you can use bash scripts for automatization of your work. Good support and frequent updates of new Java packets for that system. Most of things can be repeated in the linux operating system software with the same packets and versions of Java, special software etc."

It may not be easy to configure as a desktop but as a system it definitely is. It is based off of Debian. All in all, a really good and eye pleasing system! "
