We used the fixer API (currency conversion API) from api layer and good bad performance/stability (6% of HTTP 5XX errors) and latencies that exceed 110s sometimes for one currency for one day...

We contacted the support for this issue. After one month they told us that they are continuing working on it but they made improvements (after verification, there were no evolution in our data).

After some times they told us to stop using apiLayer but use fixer directly (it's their API). We understand that the API will not work and we must take another subscription to fixer.

We took the same subscription but to the fixer API directly.

After the first tests with the exactly same usage we got errors

"Access Restricted - Your current Subscription Plan does not support this API Function."

After investigation the route that we used was available in the subscription at 14$ for ApiLayer but you need the 44$ subscription for the same feature to do it with Fixer API.

So I contacted the support to tell them that they told me to switch API and i just want the same feature that previously and they just answered "you need to upgrade your plan"...

We don't want to pay 3 times more without any guarantee of the quality of the service.

APILayer is a place that lists third-party web APIs from various providers. The best part of APIlayer is that they developed it so that we can get the most relevant APIs on a given topic.
