**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Apache Jackrabbit?**

This is one of the best tool available for running application on server. We can use this for running our codes in web application. It is highly recommend for developing projects.

**What do you dislike about Apache Jackrabbit?**

Their is big competition in market many similar type applications are available and mostly used. Sometimes it works slow and takes time to start the server. It is space consuming.

**Recommendations to others considering Apache Jackrabbit:**

Any user can use this for developing projects.

**What problems is Apache Jackrabbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using this application for the software development. I am developing projects and also deploying project on web server. We can also use this for debugging our codes.

  ### 2. Flexible way of handling content.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Apache Jackrabbit?**

The fact that Apache Jackrabbit can be processed independently by strongly typed utils - JCR Utils. It can be made into anything you want - a cms, a site, a repo...

**What do you dislike about Apache Jackrabbit?**

The downside is that new developers are not open to it. Somehow the reach isn't proper. Apache should make light weight CMSes out of it for the SMB market.

**What problems is Apache Jackrabbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used Jackrabbit in AEM. We had a use case in scripted migration, to migrate content from one site to another. We stored the content in Apache Jackrabbit, and then processed it to be assigned to pages in AEM.

  ### 3. A developing software with its share of pros and cons

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arup Kumar P. | Software Engineer II, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Apache Jackrabbit?**

It not only serves the purpose for what it is designed but it also can be scaled as and when needed according to the requirements. It is very easy to set up and quite lightweight to run. While being lightweight and fast, it did not sacrifice the safety and the security of the data it is dealing with. In today's world, as cybercriminals are more and more active and finding out novel ways to attract the software, this software plays a major role in protecting the organisational data from the hands of fraudsters.

**What do you dislike about Apache Jackrabbit?**

When leaving the application open midway while working, it becomes difficult to retrieve the data on return. the user has to reiterate the entire process to get the data in place.

**Recommendations to others considering Apache Jackrabbit:**

If you are looking for lightweight software that makes transactions with your database easier and faster, then you can opt for this software.

**What problems is Apache Jackrabbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps in storing, modifying and extracting data from a database in a safe and secure manner and along with maintaining all the security measures. The main ROI of the software is its lightweight and speed. It also doubles up as a load balancer that distributes traffic at times of huge load and the end-user does not experience any downtime. When one of the datacentres is down or deployment is going on in any one of the datacentres, it plays a major role in shifting traffic from the datacentre which is down and to the fresh datacentre.

  ### 4. Apache Jackrabbit review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yash R. | Member of Technical Staff, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Apache Jackrabbit?**

Storing, retrieving and working with data that has a hierarchical sctructure is the primary use for a JCR implementation such as Jackrabbit.

This could also be done using a (no)SQL database if one would be familiar with the algorithms involved in storing hierarchically structured data. However JackRabbit has all of this ‘out of the box’ plus all the nessesary optimalizations such as indexing and caching to make this performant.

**What do you dislike about Apache Jackrabbit?**

It is hard to save work and find it again.

**What problems is Apache Jackrabbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is very versatile and helps keep things in order.

  ### 5. A relatively good solution for your data needs

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Relations | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Apache Jackrabbit?**

It is very easy to work with data that has a hierarchical structure. The data can be encrypton and the security is very strong. I also appreciate that it is great for real-time info exchange between client and server.

**What do you dislike about Apache Jackrabbit?**

When you save data, it can be difficult to find it if you need to work with it again.

**What problems is Apache Jackrabbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me keep things in order and keep everygthing organized. I'm not an incredibly organized person, so this has been a life saver. I'm able to create a specific node for every project that I'm working on, and the security has been very helpful and I don't need to worry about it.
