## Anima Reviews
  ### 1. Anima Streamlines Design-to-Code

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darshan M. | Product Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Anima?**

I must say anima really shortens the design to develop loop. Our team start from a figma design and head over directly to anima for easy code generation thats feasible to iterate on. The figma plugin is pretty straightforward, the code iinspection/export feature helps our non-tech people understand the structure quickly.

**What do you dislike about Anima?**

It's not a magic but "product-ready" button. We still spend some time cleaning up and adjusting the generated markup though. Eventually, this should gets fixed by the time which will reduce our time in reiteration and use the pre-generated code itself. Much needed!!!

**What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Well, reduction in time from converting design to code. Fewer back and forths, less guesswork and faster sprint handoffs. And instead manually recreating layouts, we export markup that preserves layout, spacing and components. It behaves much closer to the final UI, which also speeds up validation and reduces rework.

  ### 2. Goo enough for generating desktop sites, but mobile is a challenge

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Salman R. | Technical Editor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Anima?**

I tried generating a popular Figma product page template with Anima, using its defaults (React, Shadcdn, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS). The desktop code generation was impressive. It got most of it right, save for a few alignment issues (very minor though). The speed at which it generated the entire page was mind-blowing. I can see getting started with building prototypes much quicker with it.

**What do you dislike about Anima?**

The mobile responsiveness is a pain. Everything was all over the place. From having to make the site fully responsive is challenging and adds way more work than you save on the initial front loading. If I want to show a fully responsive prototype to my client/stakeholders, that's a no-go. It's OK as a niche self-tool.

**What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Anima is aiming to solve the design-to-development workload, and for desktop-first projects, it can get you halfway there. Great for generating proofs-of-concept.

Maybe I ought to try it more to see how it works with various designs, but from the initial few projects, I see that it's not yet ready for generating solid mobile responsive sites. It has potential, but I'll wait for it.

  ### 3. Effortless Website Prototyping from Figma, No Coding Needed

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Anima?**

I could easily go from my figma file to a website prototype, without coding. It helps me build my websites and communicate my projects. It is easy to implement the projects, and the features are plenty.

**What do you dislike about Anima?**

UI is sometimes not easy to navigate, and when code failed to compile, and preview was unavailable, somehow fixing the issues ignored my last prompt.

**What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Going from prototype to a real wbsite.

  ### 4. We create effective codes and it works well with design tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rohit A. | Web Developer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Anima?**

Sometimes there was a misunderstanding between our designers and engineers, and it took hours-even days-to translate the designs into code. The process was laborious and characterized by some errors. Now it only takes a few minutes to export our design to Anima, and generates a clean code that is ready to be used. Surprisingly, the resulting code is clean, semantic and optimized for search engine optimization (SEO). I can’t stop mentioning how easy it is to build modern applications thanks to the integration with other tools like React and Vue.js.

**What do you dislike about Anima?**

Creating some components that can be used again and again can be a challenge. We spent a little time learning how to use them correctly, but after that things were much simpler.

**What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Anima has made a big difference in our workflow, we previously wasted a lot of time fixing implementation errors and translating designs into code. We can now quickly produce code that is clean and functional. For our landing page creation, for example, Anima allowed us to go from design to coding in a single day, which allowed us to deploy the page much earlier than planned.

  ### 5. Quick, Easy, and Free (except for some kinda important things)

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Anima?**

As a student, finding a simple website builder that I can easily/quickly understand and build quickly (and freely) are the most important factor to me and Anima has been capable of meeting my needs. Setting up Anima to work with Figma is smooth and easy with the program taking you everywhere you need to go and you only need to accept a couple of connections between Figma and Anima. I mention this specifically because I had tried 4 other website publishing extensions in Figma, with all of them getting stuck at some point when connecting with Figma, not even allowing me to properly connect the two, so seeing Anima work its magic was such a wave of relief.

The customization options included are so unbelievably easy to use as well. To be honest, I was a little shocked that a couple of features in Anima, like having a button expand as you hover over it, had no way to be replicated in the basic Figma application, so picking up the Anima picking up Figmas slack is greatly appreciated.

Installing those customization options was so easy as well. Coming from frustration from other, more mainline website builders god awful glitch-riddled interfaces had me a bit worried that I would have spent an entire night messing with all the buttons just so they could expand smoothly without getting in the way of anything but it was just the click of a button, allowing me to get it done in less than an hour.

Customer service, while not 24/7, while they are on is quick, nice, professional, and helpful. One feature they have with their customer support that I have not seen many others do is having an ETA for when they will be back to help you, allowing more ease for you to shift your focus on other problems until they return.

**What do you dislike about Anima?**

One of the more frustrating parts about Anima is communicating what is included in the free version, and what is locked behind a paywall. The payment options give you a general overview of what you can expect to unlock by upgrading but they do not give you the full list, one of the things on those lists being that you cannot update the live site more than once while only using the free version, and that was not communicated to me.

**What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Anima is allowing me to create, and publish and is hosting my portfolio website.

  ### 6. Quite smooth once you get the idea how it works

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kritika S. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Anima?**

Can add media, text interactive feature, easy responsiveness and easy code access

**What do you dislike about Anima?**

When you prototype, the preview is only visible when we run it through the plugin and not through figma. I want to see the edis through figma preview as well

**What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has features that supports multiple platforms and softwares.

  ### 7. Anima is great for that intermediate step

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cece H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Anima?**

I like that it offers elements that can be transported to code immediately. its also very easy to use and implement things.

**What do you dislike about Anima?**

I am having issues seeing the submit button actually working, but I see other elements doing great besides that, and I am in contact with help for the button.

**What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?**

saving time. I want to be able to create my website as soon as possible, but I started on figma and was hoping I wouldn't have to transport the design to code all by hand so this helps a lot.

  ### 8. Better and faster code than similar tools

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel E. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Anima?**

The ability to export a full page flow was very useful to our work, and the ability to customize components using AI personalization was a nice bonus.

**What do you dislike about Anima?**

Being unable to apply the AI personalization function to a full flow the way you can on single pages limits how much customizability you get in your final code.

**What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Generating a code skeleton from our prototypes so we can get a sense of how it would work in development and deployment.

  ### 9. Amazing Application for UI/UX designers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nishtha D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Anima?**

Anima is a great tool for converting Figma files to code (be it react, Vue, html). It actually helped me understand how code works and how I can optimize my design to make it more developer friendly!

**What do you dislike about Anima?**

It still has some limitations in manipulating the animations or connections used on the figma file

**What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping me understand coding better and making my designs more developer friendly. Overall reducing a lot of time.

  ### 10. Anima is extremely helpful.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Teaghan H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Anima?**

Anima has been extremely helpful in making my portfolio website.

**What do you dislike about Anima?**

I haven't found downsides so far using the app. I would say maybe more advertising would be good because I hasn't heard of Anima before actively searching for a product like it, and neither had my fellow students.

**What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm a designer not a developer, so it's saved me the stress of having to get help from someone every time I want to fix my portfolio website.

  ### 11. Easy to use!

  ### 14. Aninma is a slick app and they are an ethical company seeking to do good work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Commercial Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Anima?**

Transparently, while I did not use the app to its full extent, the feature list and interface are awesome. What makes me a fan, is their business ethics and response time to their customers. It's not often you find a company that is fast to respond and quick to give back the money they did not earn. I had a few challenges and they responded as requested. No hassles, kind service, and most importantly; they didn't try to hold on to my money when they saw what had happened. This company is solid. The app is on point. Thanks, Anima!

**What do you dislike about Anima?**

Can't really say... I have no complaints.

**What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm not a coder and this does the work for me and helped me find where I had challenges. Sweet.

  ### 15. I was able to implement Anima in my course projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Anima?**

Anima enables designers to easily export their prototypes to usable code in languages such as React Native

**What do you dislike about Anima?**

I think the pricing plans are a bit inaccessibly high for students. However, their customer service team was great about working with educators to provide promo codes and group pricing.

**What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wanted to find an easy way for my design students to gain experience exporting their prototypes from Figma or Adobe XD to code. Anima's integration with Code Sandbox enables the user to publish their apps with ease to Netlify

  ### 16. Anima is a game changer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2024

  ### 17. Amazing Product and Produces Great High Quality code

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sahil B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Anima?**

Anima is the best tool for converting Figma designs to code that I have seen. Most other services take shortcuts to produce code that may work at first, but is impossible to bring to production or to modify. So far the code quality is extremely high. It is very, very readable simple code that is great for modifying or adding features to. Genuinely impressed by how great it is.

**What do you dislike about Anima?**

One issue I experienced was that when I designed a responsive page in Figma and imported it into Anima. Anima did not realize that my 3 frames reused the same image assets, and so downloaded 3 copies of images for each frame (desktop, tablet, smartphone). The main reason this is an issue is if I want to alter the code to dyanamically change the page as now I will need to create and save 3 versions of images times the number of images on any page.

If I coded the page by hand, I would just use one set of images and then resize it depending on the format. I am not sure if this feature is included and I just need to learn how to better use the tool but I could not find a solution to this issue so far.

This is not a huge issue as the tool is great otherwise.

**What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have a specific vision for my website and want to rapidly prototype without having to spend hours perfecting my CSS. I also do not want to resort to CSS frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind that any developer can spot a mile away. Anima allows me to create aesthetic unique websites very simply.

Thank you Anima
For your Remarkable creation

**What do you dislike about Anima?**

The cost, At the starting you gave 1 project for free but now we need to get pro for that 1 project also, I am in the mid of completing my project but before I generate in to code it asked me to buy pro, i am very disopinted on that.

Actually about the Amazon voucher you are going to give me for my review. Instead of that i just need one year pro subscription for Anima
That's how good you product is.

Thank you

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Anima?**

Well, considering that my front-end development skills are somewhat infantile, I certainly like that Anima has allowed me to build landing pages! Until recently, I was under the impression that I needed to learn full-stack engineering in order build products. Design-to-code is saving my life (and sleep).

**What do you dislike about Anima?**

Similarly to most Figma plug-ins, the process of exporting html isn't always intuitive. Maybe that will change now that Anima is streamlined into dev mode?

**What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't have access to development/work with developers, so any and all design-to-code is invaluable to me.

  ### 30. Great start

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Anima?**

Anima is a great start to help you code. When designed in XD, I think some things do not translate well into the code, but it creates a great starting point to go in and correct.

**What do you dislike about Anima?**

I wish overall it was little more user-friendly when setting it up in XD. Even just a simple tutorial showing how to create the hover effects. The first time I started that in XD did not know it had to be redone in Anima, so just small things like that.

**What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creates the basic code starting point for me.

  ### 31. Amazing program. This just opened so many doors for me.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Anima?**

It codes your designs for you and it is easy to use

**What do you dislike about Anima?**

It can be slightly difficult to learn but thats with any program

**What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?**

coding

  ### 32. Not really happy.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prithvi R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Anima?**

Few Prototypes are promising, and if HTML generates proper code files, then it would be great; waiting for the Auto-Animate feature from Adobe XD to be supported. Also, Other Prototypes from Adobe XD need to be supported in Anima. Then it would be great!!!

**What do you dislike about Anima?**

Doesn't supports most of the features of Adobe XD. HTML codes do not produce a perfect prototype. I thought it would generate an exact prototype and design instantly.

**What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not yet Solved! But still trying.

  ### 33. Made it easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Anima?**

Anima saved us big time! We were on a rush to produce code for our prototype but it has more than 50 screens. Good thing Anima was there to help. We got the code instantly and were able to show a working prototype.

**What do you dislike about Anima?**

Only thing is the class and id names were too long and hard to remember.

**What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Anima saved us a lot of time coding our prototype!

  ### 34. A perfect figma exporter including smart animations!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Duncan P. | Digital Product Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Anima?**

We have been researching for some time a Figma exporter that handled components and vector graphics well and could also export Figma Smart Animations. Anima accomplished it all!

**What do you dislike about Anima?**

Sometimes, to replicate animations precisely in Figma, certain adjustments might be necessary. However, these modifications most often just require renaming objects.

**What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are creating seamless HTML code for a Figma Prototype for a Unity 3D project with a web browser.

  ### 35. Exceptional customer service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Taylor S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Anima?**

As someone who is a designer but no matter how hard I try, can never quite get the hang of coding... this whole product idea is a lifesaver!!

The best part of Anima was the customer service though. They really went above and beyond to answer all my questions and concerns. That's so hard to find.

**What do you dislike about Anima?**

Nothing really I can think of at the moment.

**What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It cuts down the communication time between myself as the designer and my developers.

Actually, Animaapp saves a lot of time and also , by using this app it is easier to share my prototypes with my teammates.
 This app creates real experiences.

There's maybe one or two missing features but nothing major at the moment.

I have never used it with Figma.
As Figma is most popular software among designers these days, Anima is not useful with Figma.
Figma provide prototyping solutions a well so it may be unuseful there.
I have never used it with Figma.

**Recommendations to others considering Anima:**

try Figma

When I convert some prototypes, some parts are getting converted into images.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eden A. | Data Scientist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Anima?**

The thing I liked the most about using Anima was the intuitive interface. I had never used this kind of application before; it was elementary to understand how to use it.

**What do you dislike about Anima?**

There were two things I disliked:
1. Sometimes, the UI got stuck. For example, when I tried to connect two components to generate UI code, the components weren't connected until I tried several times.
2. The generated code is sometimes hard to understand.

**What problems is Anima solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The hardest problem AnimaApp helped me solve is "time problem". When I did the project as part of my BSc in computer science, I needed to create an application with my team in a very short time. The application saved me at least two to three weeks of UI and frontend work in just a few clicks.
