I’ve been using Amazon WorkSpaces Secure Browser for both my freelance projects and company-related work, and it has genuinely made remote work much easier.
The biggest benefit for me is being able to securely access work portals, internal websites, and SaaS tools straight from my browser, without having to install extra software or deal with complicated VPN setups. This has been especially useful when I’m switching between freelance assignments and office work on the same device. AWS notes that it works through your existing browser and streams the session securely from the cloud.
What I appreciate most is the security and isolation it provides. Because the actual browser session runs on AWS and only the screen is streamed to my device, sensitive client and company data doesn’t remain on my local system. That gives me more confidence when I’m handling important files, dashboards, and client portals.
I’ve also found it helpful for working across different devices without worrying about compatibility. Whether I’m at home or out and about, I can get into the same work environment quickly, which supports both productivity and flexibility.
On top of that, it has helped reduce distractions and security concerns when accessing client platforms, especially for confidential business tasks and internal tools. The browsing experience has been smooth overall, and the session-based secure environment feels well suited to professional use.
Overall, it’s been a very helpful option for secure remote access, particularly for anyone balancing company work alongside freelance responsibilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the performance depends heavily on internet speed, and minor lag/disconnects can happen on unstable networks. Pricing can also feel slightly expensive for larger teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
