Alongrail Desk Reviews & Product Details

Alongrail Desk helps software companies with both halves of customer help: writing clear help articles, and walking customers through a task on their own screen. Help articles Open your product and do the task once, pressing Capture at each step. Desk writes each step in plain words beside its screenshot. Already have articles in your knowledge base? Paste or upload one, and Desk takes you through your live product to bring it up to date. Ask for changes in plain words, add arrows, notes and highlights, and cover personal details before you share. Download the finished article as HTML, Markdown or PDF, or embed it on your own site. Guided sessions Any article can become an interactive walkthrough on the customer's own screen. Your customer opens a link, shares their screen, and is shown one step at a time, matched to what is on their screen at that moment. The customer does every click themselves. Desk never acts for them, so they learn your product as they go. Because each step follows the screen, an article that is a little behind your latest release can still guide them through. What your team sees Every session can be read step by step: where a customer stopped and anything they typed. It shows which parts of your product and documentation need attention. Who it is for Software companies with a help centre, platforms whose partners or vendors work in a dashboard, agencies that support their clients' software, and any team that writes process documentation for software. What it is built to do Fewer "how do I…?" questions reaching your support team, customer onboarding that people finish on their own, and help articles that stay current with less effort.
