After the CentOS 8 end of life situation, we needed something stable, reliable and long term supported — AlmaLinux 8 ticked every box. The supported images with regular updates means our servers are always patched and secure without us having to do anything manually. Security updates arrive quickly and consistently which is critical when you are responsible for hosting multiple client websites and applications. The fact that it is 1:1 binary compatible with RHEL 8 was a game changer for us. We migrated our entire shared hosting infrastructure from CentOS 8 to AlmaLinux 8 and everything — cPanel, WHM, all server configurations, scripts and automation — worked straight away without a single issue.
