## About Alkami
The Alkami Platform provides financial institutions a complete digital banking solution to securely onboard, engage, and grow retail and business users for banks and credit unions. Clients can tailor their user experience with additional Alkami products and integrations to third-party solutions via API, SSO and SDK functionality. The online banking platform is delivered with an administrative console that provides our clients with the ability to manage their digital banking users’ experiences. We invest heavily in the eight product categories within this journey to enable our clients to achieve digital success: • Account Opening and Loan Origination • Security &amp; Fraud Protection • Money Movement • Financial Wellness • Customer Service • Card Experience • Marketing &amp; Analytics • Extensibility Functionality for both retail and business includes: digital account opening and loan origination, automated credit decisioning, real-time identity verification, fund transfers, check services, message center, chatbots, virtual financial assistants, mobile check deposits, e-documents, e-signatures, card management, secure forms, multi-factor authentication, multi-payment fraud prevention, alerts, and data analytics and engagement solutions. In addition, business widgets include business administration, including entitlements, ACH, wire transfers, business reports, invoices, positive pay, business bill pay, and business check capture. We recognize the strategic importance of embracing the best of fintech innovation and bringing the right partners into the Alkami Platform. We foster a fintech partner ecosystem that grants freedom, extensibility, further brand differentiation, and the ability for carefully selected fintechs to integrate with APIs and build directly onto our platform with Alkami’s SDK. We offer API and single sign-on (SSO) integrations, which can be built in-house by Alkami or by our partners. Our clients may also choose to deploy their own integrations using the same tools used by our developers or they can take advantage of a network of certified Alkami SDK developers or partner system integrators. The Alkami Platform is delivered with an administrative console that provides our financial institution clients with the ability to manage their digital banking users’ experiences. The administrative console is divided into five primary functions: Setup, Operations, Content, Support, and Data. The Alkami Platform is a highly configurable solution which enables institutions and Alkami team members the ability to easily deploy and configure functionality within an institution&#39;s environment. This includes configurability around feature availability such as price-list billing to end users of the product. Through this capability, institutions can segment and charge end users for the features they utilize within the platform such as ACH and wire transactions.

**What do you like best about Alkami?**

The platform was designed to be simple and user-friendly, and it achieved that goal. We have a wide range of users that access the platform for various reasons and rarely need to provide additional training on functionality.

**What do you dislike about Alkami?**

The platform itself is great! The support for the platform could be improved. It can be hard to gauge when an issue will be resolved and that makes following up with our account holders difficult.
The data offering needs a lot of improvement.

Alkami keeps up with the latest technology in the industry. They offer the right products and services to meet the demands of our account holders. If they do not develop the solution themselves, they chose the best partner for the solution.

**What do you like best about Alkami?**

The Admin side is relatively simple and intuitive to use for setting most things up. I love the new Navigation Builder! The customer side is simple and easy to follow. Product Guides are great for basic setup or questions.

**What do you dislike about Alkami?**

Some of the Admin settings get quite complex. Staging is slower than slow. The customer side does not allow for much personalization by the user. Sometimes it's difficult to get good answers on issues we have. Release Notes format is super difficult to work with efficiently.

**What problems is Alkami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are providing excellent digital banking options to our members in a time when more and more people prefer to go online, especially those members that are not near a branch.

Continued improvement in the backlog of requested features or add-ons by individual organizations. The lead time for custom improvements can be lengthy.

Alkami provides the capability and flexibility for our members to access their funds 24/7.  Alkami's platform is stable and reliable, which is of the utmost importance to our membership.

Working with attentive Alkamists who listen and follow through and follow up.  Caitlin O'Connor and Shannon Hall have been great to work with.

**What do you dislike about Alkami?**

Rollout did not go well and PMO seemed overly confident all issues would be resolved.   Hopefully, that team has stabilized and works closer with Development and Product teams.

**Recommendations to others considering Alkami:**

Be adamant about what you need and start early. Be reasonably patient. Pull in a variety of your team members across all company disciplines. Ask thousands of questions.

**What problems is Alkami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Value-added partners bring lots of solutions to the table and give us a chance to consider where we want our solutions to move forward.  Mobile adoption has continually improved.

We are excited to be using Alkami as we are doing a core conversion together with this new online and mobile banking solution. Excited to a better user interface and cryptocurrency integration.

**What do you dislike about Alkami?**

We haven't used it yet but there haven't been any mentions of a money management and budget spending tool. I would like to see that integration together with savvymoney.

Offering better services and features for our members. The expections have changed for our members and allowing them to see a much improved UI and UX together with P2P and AI chat is going to help with the limited bandwidth of the organization.

Alkami allows us to provide innovative solutions through tech partnerships.  We can offer solutions that even the biggest of big banks have yet to implement for their customers.

The biggest challenge with Alkami is also one of the biggest strengths.  Release QA and release cadence offer a challenge if trying to support the solution with the same logic as any other digital banking product.

Alkami is a full service partner.  They think of things before we do.  They are constantly looking at our setup to inform us of options we may not be using that we would benefit from.

We are still in the implementation phase so no major concerns at this point.  The conversion process is a little bumpy, but the benefits we will realize after we are live will be well worth it.

There isn't much I dislike. Customer service sometimes is slow but other than that it's a straight forward product.

Security on the admin side should be hardened. Offering things like an authenticator would eliminate the possibility of someone taking over an account.

**What do you like best about Alkami?**

The layout on the platform that we use to create our website is clean. The back end Admin Alkami worked frequently enough to where we almost never personally had problems with it. 

**What do you dislike about Alkami?**

The system is constantly shutting down, locking members out of their accounts, authentication properties are broken as well. We used Alkami’s premade banking platform in order to start rolling out a new user friendly experience to our members in 2015. It was anything but that, the site was down or could not connect to the server at least twice a week. The 2 step verification that was supposed to make logging in safer actually did not allow most people to log in so we would need to reset their password in order to log them in. It never remembered home devices that members would ask the website to save causing a terrible authentication error that could only be bypassed by asking members to reset their password. There’s certain AEC codes that cause memebers to have to disconnect from their WiFi and connect to their cellular data just to get into their accounts which is hugely inconvenient. Also some members banking accounts would just disappear from their online platform without any notice and we had to try to figure out how to get them back on there. 

**What problems is Alkami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They provide a base webpage for financial businesses to try to make their members online banking experience better. Personally we have experienced nothing but problems.
