Honestly, very little that isn't a function of how new the category is. My main note is that the tool is only as good as the precedent you feed it. Early on I spent time getting our templates and prior agreements organized enough for Aline to draw from. I'd also like deeper native handling of tracked changes and comment threads in redline-heavy negotiations, since that's where a lot of my day lives. Setup was fast and did not require a dedicated implementation project, which matters when you are a one person legal department. The workflows have been the standout, routing intake, review, and approvals in a structured way instead of everything landing in my inbox. Their APIs are also refreshingly easy to work with, which made connecting Aline to the rest of our stack far less painful than I expected. Just as important, their team is responsive and genuinely open to building toward what we need rather than pointing us to documentation and calling it a day. Aline is such a great CLM platform. The ability to create reports with deep contract analysis is unmatched. We've tested out a number of platforms and none of them were able to analyze our contracts with AI and put it in an easily digested format like Aline can. Not to mention their pricing was much better than any of the others we tested out.

Their ability to create playbooks and use them to quickly redline contracts is so such a key feature. It's sped up NDA review exponentially.

I really like the interface of Aline AI; it's great to use. I appreciate that they're constantly working on new features, and their customer service and support have been stellar. When you’re not a trained legal expert, you don’t know what you don’t know. Aline’s AI can answer a wide range of legal questions with far more depth and nuance than standard AI offerings. In my experience, it surfaced specific state-level issues and relevant legal language that Claude and ChatGPT didn’t mention. Great customer service and onboarding, and the team has been flexible to our needs. It does a better job with contract review and redlining than using Claude or ChatGPT. I leverage Aline AI as a smart CLM and review tool, which efficiently manages redlines, drafting, and contract reviews for our company. I find the user interface extremely easy to use and learn, making it easy to navigate chatbot-assisted drafting or switch to reviewing contracts in the repository.
