## About Alibaba Server Load Balancer
Alibaba Cloud Server Load Balancer (SLB) distributes traffic among multiple instances to improve the service capabilities of your applications. You can use SLB to prevent single point of failures (SPOFs) and improve the availability and the fault tolerance capability of your applications. Promotions: EIP is now available in Alibaba Cloud's international regions. Alibaba Cloud also offers 15% discount for EIP service in the Hong Kong region.

**What do you like best about Alibaba Server Load Balancer?**

Functionally it works. They are constantly revamping the console.

**What do you dislike about Alibaba Server Load Balancer?**

Coming from AWS side of thing, it was a bit tough to configure the load balancer due to the console being so confusing.

**Recommendations to others considering Alibaba Server Load Balancer:**

Try a couple of times, and you will get it rightly configured. Once you configure it properly you can forget it.
You will have to lower your expectations for the monitoring section though. It isn't as polished as aws yet.

**What problems is Alibaba Server Load Balancer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it for load balancing network traffic across ECS instances.
