We have successfully updated Cadency to two new versions and are currently using the latest Cadency Cairo version 11.2 There has been significant improvement with respect to system performance as new version is faster compared to older versions and there are added functionalities as well. At HPE we reconcile complex balance sheet accounts and the ability to group the accounts at company code and account level makes it easier to reconcile accounts for a similar nature rather than reconciling them separately. The reports extracted from Cadency helps the user community to report accurate numbers to management and take steps to clear the open items in a timely manner. Management reporting in Cadency enables users to manage their workload efficiently. SOX controls are efficently handled through reports audit reports available in Cadency. Before using the platform, many of these activities required significant manual effort, making them time-consuming and increasing the risk of errors or missed deadlines. I like all of the options Frontier has to offer, the time savings, and the customer support. We utilize reconciliation along with subledgers, certifications, and are implementing data flow and workflow soon. We have around 85% of our balance sheet on the software. We implemented shortly before Covid hit and it was a life saver while working from home. We saved so much time from doing recons on excel and printing and scanning and filing every day to having everything automatically pull into the software and doing it all right there. The automatching saved lots of time and human errors as well. The research tools have been greatly appreciated by us as well as our stakeholders because we are able to quickly and efficently provide answers. When we put in cases they are handled quickly. Dameon Goode, who we have worked with personally from almost the beginning has been instrumental in setting us up for success. I believe that Trintech’s reconciliation solution is among the best available on the market. During a prior merger, I had the opportunity to review a competing product used by another institution, and in comparison, it did not come close to the capabilities and overall quality of the Trintech application. We implemented Trintech last year, and a team of four staff members is now able to reconcile all general ledger accounts related to deposits and loans on a daily basis—over 250 accounts—as well as approximately 50 internal DDA accounts. We have established an automated process that imports subledger data and DDA balances from our core system into Trintech early each morning, even before staff begin their workday. We maintain several DDA and GL accounts with a high volume of debit and credit activity, including transactions with serial numbers and outstanding checks. The auto-matching functionality within Trintech Frontier performs exceptionally well, successfully matching a significant number of items each day. In addition to auto-matching, Trintech enables automatic approval of accounts in Frontier under certain conditions, for example, when an account has a zero balance. One of the most valuable features is the ability to group related GL accounts. This allows us to use a single supporting document (such as a loan principal report) for multiple accounts and approve all accounts within the group with a single action. As one of our senior management officers noted, “We waited 20 years to achieve this capability, and now we finally have it.” Both our internal and external audit teams have read-only access to Trintech. Since implementation, we no longer need to provide them with reconciliation support manually, as they can access all necessary information directly within the system. We also store all import files and balance sheet data within Trintech, ensuring that audit teams have access to comprehensive historical records, including backups for outstanding items. This has resulted in significant time savings for our team. Additionally, we utilize Trintech’s reporting functionality to distribute notifications regarding outstanding items via email, further enhancing efficiency. Finally, I would like to highlight the exceptional support provided by the Trintech team over the past 12 months. They have consistently assisted us with any issues encountered and provided guidance on reconciliation implementations. What I like best about Cadency by Trintech is it is a centralized platform that allows all my Global business partners to perform their month-end activities, as well as processing their entries. As my Company has 3 separate ERP systems, Cadency allows us to have 1 system where all the information feeds together and we can review status across all our entities. Although Cadency is great to have a centralized platform for all Global Business Partners, it is sometimes difficult to break out the Regional statistics/duties performed by our team members. For example, some of our Mexico team members assist US operations or assist with South American entities. We have Regional Admins who assist with maintenance of their respective Regions, however when teams cross over to assist different regions, they cannot always access the information that is tied to another Region (aside from theirs). Cadency is solving our problems that we have with our 3 ERP systems. As noted, we have an ERP system for each Region (NA, SA and AE). So it becomes difficult to manage access/roles within those 3 systems. As well as ensuring that users are following proper controls, thus Cadency helps maintain better controls for our procedures. It has been a game changer for ease of reconciling general ledgers. What do you dislike about Trintech? How long it takes to deport items, (which I understand it could cause issues if you accidentally deported the wrong items in mass), how you can’t cancel a certification submission if you forgot to add something, and no easy way to “undelete” items Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Adra is intuitive and easy to get started with – even with a relatively brief introduction, the menus and structure feel logical and clear. This makes it easy for new users to quickly become productive in most day-to-day tasks. Even though some updates can take time to get used to, my overall impression is very positive. Adra Balancer is a strong tool and, when set up correctly, it significantly improves efficiency, simplifies the review process, and supports continuous improvement. It is especially valuable that all relevant documentation is collected in one place, and that the tool makes it easy to redistribute tasks and responsibilities when needed. As new features and updates are introduced regularly, it is crucial that they are thoroughly tested both from a technical and user experience perspective. In some cases, updates can take time to adjust to or may temporarily impact usability before improvements are fully realized. While this is not a major issue today, it remains an important area to consider when prioritizing future improvements. A continued focus on stability, predictability between releases, and user-centered testing would further improve the overall experience and reduce friction in daily work. Adra provides a easy to use and safe way to work with our monthly documentation of our balance accounts and also the approval process for the same. The interface is intuitive, and the overall environment is user-friendly. From an RTR perspective, it includes all the functionalities and reports I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Trintech? At some point, the database grew so large that it was simply deleted from the cloud servers (as part of a major system upgrade) and handed over to CCEP as an archive intended for offline use. However, without the actual interface needed to open and read that archive, it ended up being unusable to a great extent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Supporting documentation is stored on cloud, SOX compliance across all Business Units, Audit trails are recorded and easy to present before Auditors, Reporting is well developed and covers all RTR needs and requirements.
