Adaface is the most candidate friendly skills assessment tool on the market. Adaface helps companies automate the first round interviews with a conversational chatbot, Ada. Candidates prefer Adaface because Ada engages with a friendly chat involving relevant challenges as opposed to asking trick questions on a test. At Adaface, we set up 45 min candidate-friendly assessments that test for on-the-job skills. 💼 Here&#39;s what we&#39;re doing differently from the status quo: 1. **What do you like best about Adaface?**

Adaface feels more practical than many traditional assessment tools. The chat-based test format is less stressful and keeps the focus on real job skills rather than rote MCQs. From a candidate’s point of view, it’s straightforward to use, and the questions genuinely test how you think and approach problems instead of simply what you’ve memorized.

**What do you dislike about Adaface?**

At times, the instructions could be clearer, especially for first-time test takers. A few of the questions also felt a bit long, which can add some time pressure. And because the test is conversational, candidates who aren’t used to this format may need a few minutes to settle in and feel comfortable.

**What problems is Adaface solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Adaface has made our hiring process more efficient and reliable. We’re able to quickly identify candidates who actually have the skills needed for the job, which saves time in interviews and reduces bad hires. The conversational test format also gives candidates a better experience, making them more comfortable and less anxious during assessment. Overall, it helps us hire faster and with more confidence in candidate capabilities.

**What do you like best about Adaface?**

Adaface helps us with an efficient and comprehensive solution for assessing the technical skills of our candidates. The platform offers a user-friendly interface that is intuitive and easy to navigate (talking about their ready-to-use tests) with simple Code Evaluation/Test results that is easy to interpret even those with minimal technical expertise.

**What do you dislike about Adaface?**

The dashboard itself is easy to navigate and helps us streamline gauging of tech skills of candidates. Their ready-to-use tests is straightforward. However, I would need the tech team's help to customize a test or add questions. Also, they can work on better pricing that is equipped to startups/low-volume hiring. A free plan/trial before purchasing their annual plan could help as well.

Adaface solves the challenges of candidate screening, evaluation standardization, real-time coding evaluation, and candidate insights. **What do you like best about Adaface?**

The platform provides an easy approach to using a pre-made assessment or you can give the areas needed for the team to create a custom test. Most of the questions are multiple choice, you can limit the time to a reasonable amount to keep a candidate's attention and the assessment gives a comparative analysis against the industry standard to help you gauge where their at.

**What do you dislike about Adaface?**

The test seems to give an overall assessment of the candidate's knowledge and expertise, but it is textbook based so if a candidate has developed habits or a process beyond that level, this may not be the best tool to use.

**What problems is Adaface solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adaface has given us the ability to easily administer a technical assessment on coding as well as other technical languages and platforms (ie: Shopify, etc). And the candidates have given positive feedback on the ease of taking the assessment.

- Questions in Adaface are really very good, which pushes candidates to go beyond their thinking skills to find the solution.
- Questions are perfectly designed as per the given difficulty
- Regular upgrades in innovations are one of the best parts I like about adaface.
- Wide range of questions is one great aspect in using this tool
- It covers almost all techs.
- Questions are not copied from somewhere, hence helpful to judge people properly.

- Sometimes questions are not elaborated or don't have sufficient material to grasp them properly, due to which candidates cannot understand them properly. You guys should work on it.
- There should be the option of providing hints as sometimes, we as recruiters, may require such features to judge a person on a few other factors as well.

It simply helps us internally and externally. By externally, I mean we usually do a quick round of initial testing using Adaface, and internally, I mean we are planning to use it as skills assessment tool for our purpose.

The best part of adaface is that as a preliminary screening tool, I have the flexibility to design the question pattern and customize it based on my requirements.

I am not able to add subject-related questions suiting my business outlook in the country I am operating. Being a start-up, the dynamics of the business change very frequently and we need more options for adding such inputs to the system.

The applications are very good, they allow the selection of the best candidates. A test is easily assessed by the total score and that of the individual categories. Once you have created your own test you can test a large number of candidates

I am not sure if there is any control over the googlability of questions. Unfortunately, I cannot edit some questions, whose test is not super clear and I would like to correct it. Many candidates say that the test is anxiety-provoking

The portal’s interface is super flexible and easy to use. Alongwith it their post sale service is something that I would personally recommend it to others for. I like that Adaface has options for screening technical and non-technical talent. So I can use the same screening platform for all my roles. The tests are short, and I received good feedback about the test from my candidates. I really the concept of scenario-based questions which they use.

Wide range of tests that are able to capture some of our niche roles. Our candidates really like the chatbot tests. Customizability of the tests is great too - we can add our own questions.

Nothing as of now. Everything is as expected.

It is on the more expensive side as compared to market alternatives, but in my experience, the higher accuracy of shortlisting makes it worth the extra bucks.

Their ready-to-go tests are super easy to use. Our completion rates are higher than the previous vendor we use (Adaface tests are shorter so that might be a factor). They also helped me benchmark by setting the cut-off for each test to the industry standards.

They have both pre-configured tests and customizable tests. I especially liked their coverage of programming skills and niche skills like AWS, Azure, Devops (in various difficulty levels). Library covered all of our open roles. And candidates gave positive reviews to the bot Ada.

There is always score for improvement in any product. Their ready tests are readily available but customizable tests take upto 24hrs. It is helpful if they provide more ready tests or decrease time for custom tests.

Talk to their account manager or customer support team if you have doubts. They will also help you customize the dashboard and features to work for your company.

Adaface is accurate with the candidate screening. We benchmarked Adaface results against our in-person interviews. The number of false positives/false negatives was close to zero. It ensures that the right candidates make it to the interview process.

=>The candidate funnel gives a good overview of where the candidate is in the recruitment pipeline. It has useful parameters like emails sent, emails opened, test attempted, etc. It helped us focus on the candidates serious about taking up a role at our organization. Hence saving time on interviewing the uninterested candidates.

=> Adaface helped us screen more candidates than we used to do with the manual interview process. We screened 22 candidates under 40 days with our two-member screening interview panel. This is the number when we were also taking in-person first-round interviews to benchmark the software, so the real-time number would be even better.
