The flexibility of contracts can swing both ways(I started with a great salesperson initially but he took a full time role in the middle of our expected engagement) but I don't necessarily see any disadvantage over a direct hire where the same thing is just as likely to happen, so this may not even be fair, but I really couldn't think of anything I dislike.
