I like that AbsenceSoft streamlines our process, allowing our client contacts to enter leave requests themselves. They're able to access the portal to submit and track leaves. I really appreciate the templated communication which is easily editable, and the customizable workflows, even though they're a bit confusing at first due to their complexity. The staff at AbsenceSoft, especially the implementations group, were amazing—very helpful, available for meetings and emails, always with great suggestions. Our project manager kept us on track, and our account manager is always eager to help with our questions. I value the reporting features the most; the built-in insights reports are really nice and allow reporting on almost anything within a leave case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about AbsenceSoft? The reporting in the self-service portal could be improved. Since we're using it for employers to have access, we've had issues with the reporting there. I love that AbsenceSoft consolidates our leave tracking and accommodation tracking into one universal system of truth. It is so easy to find the information you are looking for. Integration into an HRIS system is always going to be complex depending on how the HRIS is set up for your company, so that is an inevitable hurdle that consistently moves around as you work through implementation. It can be a challenge to work out the issues and realize what is possible and what is not when integrating AbsenceSoft into your existing system. With a small team managing a large volume of work, AbsenceSoft takes a lot of the mundane clerical work out of the process and allows for us to work through cases much more efficiently. I like that AbsenceSoft helps us keep track of our cases and ensures we don't drop the ball on any compliance issues, providing us with as close to an all-in-one solution as possible. The platform, though sometimes quirky, is really comprehensive, and its ability to add certification details, work restrictions, and customize the product is super. It's convenient to have case data combined at our fingertips instead of searching through emails, files, or Excel. What do you dislike about AbsenceSoft? The training was intensive - very fast, and though it was recorded and we rewatched sessions, there were things that could have been done differently. We thought we'd have more hands-on training, but it was a fast-paced look at the product. We didn't think we'd need much IT involvement on our end, but we needed a lot of internal support to get up and running with the reporting required to get our employee data to run on a schedule to the AbsenceSoft platform. I absolutely love using AbsenceSoft! The platform is incredibly user-friendly, thoughtfully designed, and truly makes managing leave and accommodations feel smooth and manageable. Its multi-state capability is a huge advantage for us navigating different regulations and requirements is effortless, and the system keeps everything organized no matter how complex the case. AbsenceSoft also saves me a tremendous amount of time. Tasks that used to take several steps are now streamlined, and the clean workflow helps me stay focused and efficient throughout the day. On top of that, the AbsenceSoft team is fantastic to work with—always friendly, responsive, and genuinely committed to helping their users succeed. I find AbsenceSoft incredibly useful for LOA Administration because it allows us to find everything in one place, from notes to documents. I like being able to edit letters when needed while still using them for everything else. Having worked with AbsenceSoft before, the initial setup was relatively easy. We currently have our 'Paperwork \'RTW Release Form\' Due' to-do that keeps changing every time we do something with the case, no matter how many times it is updated it keeps changing.
