**What do you like best about Yapp?**

I love the overall responsiveness of the app- push notifications and live updates are an absolute game changer for our conference! Students and advisors reported that because of the app, they knew where to go and when to be there, and they loved that they could use it via a mobile browser rather than downloading it (though those that downloaded it reported better functionality of the push notifications). 

Yapp was very easy to get my information into, and the help guides are well-written and easy to follow. We have a wide range of tech savvyness on my team, and everybody was able to navigate the app building without problem.

**What do you dislike about Yapp?**

The only friction points I had with Yapp are the inability to send announcements via desktop and the lack of a dedicated "Maps" tab. It would be nice to have one more layer of scheduling in the Multi-Track, but our conferences are unique in that each breakout session has sub-sessions, too. Otherwise, no complaints!

**What problems is Yapp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Yapp is solving my need to communicate with conference attendees in real-time, and it's saving us so much paper and waste by allowing us to use a digital scheduler rather than paper schedules.

**What do you like best about Yapp?**

We used the Yapp app for our 2026 Symposium, an annual conference for early learning leaders, and it was a great fit for our needs. The platform is intuitive and very easy to use, both from an organizer’s perspective and for our attendees. Yapp’s interface is clean and straightforward, making it simple to upload schedules, speaker information, and important updates without needing advanced technical skills. Our attendees found it user-friendly and appreciated having all conference details in one accessible place. The app is fairly basic in terms of features, but that simplicity actually worked in its favor for our event. It allowed us to communicate clearly and efficiently without overwhelming users with unnecessary complexity. Another major advantage is affordability. For an annual conference like ours, staying within budget is always a priority, and Yapp provided a cost-effective solution without sacrificing functionality.

Overall, Yapp was a reliable, practical choice for our 2026 Symposium, and we plan to use it again for next year's event.

**What do you dislike about Yapp?**

While Yapp worked well for our basic needs, and was easy to implement, its customization options are quite limited. We would have appreciated more control over certain features. For example, there was no way to restrict the “Announcements” page so that only our team could post. Since we were already using a separate social feed for attendee interaction, it would have been ideal to keep the Announcements section exclusively for official event communication while still allowing participants to engage elsewhere.

There were also limitations within the Schedule and Track Schedule features. Information could not be duplicated or linked between the two, which meant entering the same details multiple times. This added extra administrative work and increased the potential for inconsistencies.

Additionally, it would have been helpful if the app required attendees to create a profile that appeared on the Attendees page. Having a built-in requirement for profile completion would have strengthened networking opportunities and made the attendee directory more useful.

Overall, while Yapp is user-friendly and affordable, expanded customization and administrative controls would significantly enhance the experience for conference organizers.

**What problems is Yapp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Yapp solved several logistical challenges for our symposium, particularly around scheduling, communication, and overall event organization. Previously, we relied on a digital agenda format that was static and limited in functionality. With Yapp, we were able to centralize scheduling and planning in a way that was far more streamlined and accessible for attendees. The app elevated the overall professionalism of our event. Having a dedicated conference app placed us more in line with other educational conferences and created a more cohesive, modern experience for our early learning leaders.

One of the biggest benefits was the ability to communicate last-minute announcements. With our previous digital agenda method, we didn’t have an efficient way to push out timely updates. Yapp allowed us to quickly share important information, ensuring attendees stayed informed in real time.

Overall, it provided structure, flexibility, and a higher-level event experience that directly benefited both our planning team and our participants.

**What do you like best about Yapp?**

It was extremely easy to learn, use, and customize. I use Cvent for a meeting app for a different event we host, and I would say Yapp is superior to it in 80% of ways, and it's a fraction of the cost. I love the ability to create new pages with different formats (i.e. I wanted to create a staff page, so I created a brand new page in the format of 'people' and it allowed staff to be listed like speakers. Believe it or not - it's not possible on Cvent). There was not much of a learning curve for this - unlike Cvent. It has taken me three years to be somewhat comfortable with Cvent and even still, I often have to ask for help from their customer support time. We have two years left on our Cvent contract but once it is done, I plan to switch to Yapp for all of our meeting app needs. It was also super easy for attendees to access it unlike Cvent's verification codes which are very unreliable.

**What do you dislike about Yapp?**

I would like to be able to upload a spreadsheet of notifications/announcements to the website ahead of time. I had to do it manually on the app on my phone. I would want to be able to do polls for specific sessions and have the ability to schedule polls. The polling feature needs a lot of development. And lastly - the biggest thing I would need from Yapp in order for it to truly be able to be better than Cvent would be to develop surveys that are unique to users. If an attendee takes a survey for a session they attended, I would need to be able to see on the backend who did it and what they said. It's an important part of our CEU credit process and it's the biggest thing that is lacking from Yapp.

We had a one-day meeting we didn't want to invest into an expensive meeting app. We decided to give Yapp a try and it was great for a super reasonable price.

We’re using it for an employee conference, and it will be really helpful for things like sharing schedules and keeping everyone on track. I also love that users can share photos throughout the conference, which makes it feel more interactive and connected.

I like the multi-track feature, the social feeds, and the unlimited pages. Having that many places to feature event info is really helpful. The interface is clunky, but still fairly user-friendly for many users. Integrations could use some work, but the CSV import is cromulent. Performance and automatic updates work well for our use case. Pricing is reasonable for the amount of features you receive. Support is responsive and provides great information.

**What do you dislike about Yapp?**

AI and intelligence are non-existent, and even simple use cases for AI are unused. No automated features present. Other useful and helpful features for event apps are non existent

**What do you like best about Yapp?**

Easy to use and update on the fly. Quick updating for reviewing by colleagues. Haven't tried the CSV upload feature yet but will do so for our next conference, now that I'm more familiar with how it works. Easy to share the link for users to download. I like the cross linking capabilities within the app.

**What do you dislike about Yapp?**

It would be nice if there was a way to see the data I've already uploaded but not currently making visible to users. i.e. hidden content that I'll be using in the future. Instead of having to "add" it in order to edit it. Would also like to have more cross linking between speakers and sponsors, since we have sponsors that also do speaking and there's no spot for a rep or attendee in the sponsor card. So like if someone looks at Sponsor A, it doesn't indicate what that sponsor is doing at the event. If there was a search feature, that would help that, but a simpler way would be to add a field in the Sponsor Card for a speaker/guest.

What I like about Yapp is how easy it is to communicate scheudle changes and important updates to attendees in real time. It keeps everyone informed without confusion and everything they need is organized in one place which makes our conferences run smoothly.

I do not dislike anything about this Yapp app. If anything I would love even more customication options for design and branding so we can match our event themes more closely. Even without that the app works very well for our needs.

Yapp solves the challenge of keeping large groups informed during multi day events. It allows us to quicly communicate scheudle changes share speaker informaiton and provide maps and updates without printing materials. This saves time and reduces confusion and creates a better experence for our attendees.

There is nothing I really dislike. I would like to be able to link a schedule item to the venue map. This way a user could click on the room in the schedule, and it would show them where it is on the hotel map.

**What do you like best about Yapp?**

Working in an international school environment is an incredibly busy place, and structuring a schedule for anything is challenging. The Yapp App provides a solution for staff and parents to access relevant information in real time and allows us to operate in a more efficient manner. Our larger outward-facing events are much easier to plan for, and particularly the addition of the Eventbrite ticketing module on the Yapp App supported how we can manage traffic throughout the school site. This is something that we will continue to use through the school, and I would highly recommend the app based on the role it plays in supporting us with cascading information.

**What do you dislike about Yapp?**

Not anything specific...very user friendly and easy to navigate, even without any training.

**What problems is Yapp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cascading relevant infomation with a wider user range and the fact this updates in real time, save a significant amount of time with re-sending emails or bulletins.

The app was so easy to use for our team.  We loved the ability to upload  the schedule and tracks via csv.  It saved us a lot of time.  The price was perfect for our non-profit organization.  We also liked being able to review sessions right in the app, and the ability for attendees to connect with one another.  Downloading the app was easy for participants.  We will definitely continue to use Yapp!

On our side, we need to push out the app a little more ahead of time so we have more users participating and connecting on the app.

It enabled us to get key information to all of our delegates without having to send emails or print schedules. It also created a sense of community as people were uploading pictures liking and commenting on them. We think this is the direction we will go for future events.  It’s definitely a better way to get information to delegate’s without having to use paper or physical copies.  It also is very easy to set up.

There aren’t a lot of downsides I would like to see more page types added you are limited to what you can put in the app based on the pages that already exist, but there is an option to suggest a new page.

It eliminated us having to print paper event briefs, and created a way for us to get information to attendees in real time.

Creating the Yapp app for our conference was an incredibly enjoyable experience.  The app development allowed us to innovate and think outside the box, ensuring that we delivered a product that truly enhanced the conference experience for all attendees.

There's nothing negative to say about the Yapp app. It would be great to see Yapp add the ability to offer Q&A through the app, and to be able to add specific questions post-conference to gather more feedback.

Before adopting the Yapp app, we exclusively used paper agendas and sponsor information for all of our conferences. The introduction of Yapp significantly improved this process, allowing us to reduce costs and minimize waste. The app provided a more efficient and eco-friendly way to distribute information, enhancing the overall conference experience for attendees.

I loved the user-friendly interface and how easy it is to use. It included all the items I needed - schedule, sponsors, attendees, etc.

**What do you dislike about Yapp?**

I don't like how sometimes when you go back into the app, you have to navigate all the way through from the main page, to selecting the events, to getting back to the schedule. I wish it would revert back to the page you last left when you entered back in.

We use to print a conference booklet, but decided to switch to the mobile platform this year.

**What do you like best about Yapp?**

Setting up a Yapp can be mostly done by non-technical administrative personnel.  It is intuitive and a quick introduction is all that is required to get people started using it.  For more complicated activities, we do generate custom imports using the mobileDoc format to enhance the people section.  We have conferences with thousands of attendees and use the formatted content in the about section of the import template to publish personalized agendas, complete with map links directly into Yapp.

And, the support!!!  OUTSTANDING!!!   We push the limits in some regards and have occasionally reached out for assistance.  If a world where service has lost it's meaning, it is such a pleasure to get very timely responses and knowledgeable help on the first contact each and every time.

**What do you dislike about Yapp?**

We have complaints whatsoever.  
Yes, there are enhancements we'd love to see but it serves its purpose extremely well.

**What problems is Yapp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We organize conferences with detailed individual agendas, consisting of meetings, dinner groups, activities and group functions.  These may involve 300 or more dinner reservations in hundreds of venues, seating charts for assigned seating in the meetings to encourage new relationships etc. and small group activities to foster relationships.
The logistics are daunting and fluid.  Changes can and do happen at the last minute – such as weather events or venue changes.   We have automated the publishing of data to Yapp so any attendee can refer to their most current agenda on their mobile device.

**What do you like best about Yapp?**

Yapp is easy to navigate, has really good features for big events like the conference we just had. You can do a lot with scheduling, floor plans, info on speakers and vendors, and do announcements. It is a great price. And you don’t have to publish your own app which saves a ton of hassle getting through the hoops of the App Store.

**What do you dislike about Yapp?**

I wish there was a way to do surveys in the app.

It saves having to go through the process of publishing my own app to the App Store and google play, so it made things so much easier.

The app is incredibly cool and intuitive, making it easy for both event organizers and attendees to use it.
The uploader page is straightforward and efficient, streamlining content can be updated easily.

The desktop editing experience sometimes feels a bit uneasy, but it's mainly focused on phones so no biggie.

We used it for IVK, which is a conference for training and empowering youth ministry leaders. Yapp unites all event details (schedules, maps, speaker bios, and documents) into one platform with real‑time updates and push notifications. This reduces the need for printed materials and also reduces confusion of attendees and organisers, and boosts attendee engagement. It saves a lot of time and money.

It is very user friendly and intuitive for users. There was a great deal of positive feedback about the app.

No major concerns at this time. The only thing that I wish were different is that past events still show up and thus you need to scroll through all of the "old" events to get to the current ones.  Unless there is a setting that was not checked to make this happen.

I wish there was more flexibility with the page layout options available. The Rich Text page allows you to add photos and graphics. I wish the other pages (like the Sponsors page) gave you more layout/design options. You are sort of limited in that way.

I began using Yapp before it expanded it's capabilities. It continues to grow with customers needs. It's easy to use for both the content creator and the end user.

Even for its reasonable price it is not cheap for a small event. Our confernece is under 200 people so while it's worth it to use it is still an investment for our small group.

We had been using an app to collect a photos, an app to send messages and didn't have an app that shared the schedule. It was too much. Having one system has worked tremendously well for our clients.

We really needed an app that was straighforward for our Orientation Weekend. With many of the other tools, we were havingto pay for a lot of extra features that we simply didn't need and didn't use.  This app was so well received by our new students, family, faculty, and staff AND it was a great price!  It was so easy to set up and the UX of the finished product was actually superior to a much more expensive prodcut we used the previous year.

We wish their was a branded version.  While it would likely up the price, it would have been nice to not have to say download "yapp" and instead we could have used a more branded name for the Orientation app.

I like the flexibibility to create different things for the app that we create. I like the different features and pages you can add and create for your app. For what we use it for, it is nice for it to be on a single app and then they can access the different event apps we create through the app.

I would like the editor page to be a little different. At least the ability to have a bigger screen shown. Or multiple pages open at once. I get how it resembles what you will see on the app but sometimes its hard to edit pages when you can only see a little bit of it or only one page at a time.

The ease of our employees being able to see the schedule for certain events we have in addition to other features. The other features include pdf files, contact info, maps and other faq our employees might have for an event.

Yapp is so easy to use! Our conference attendees had no issues installing and using the app -- thre was no hand holding necessary, exactly how you want it to be! The few times I needed help from support when I was setting up the app, they were super quick to respond. I  loved being able to make announcements real-time during the conference as things came up. I'll be using Yapp again for future conferences.

Not much to dislike whatsoever. In terms of enhancements, it would be nice if  there was a way for attendees to message each other one-to-one from within the app. Of course, attendees can use the attendee contact info for direct communications.

It can really enhance employee engagement. For example, you could create a dedicated app for staff events where you share  daily activities, what's happening around and showcase highlights from past events. This not only keeps everyone informed but also creates a connected community. The Yapp app team also gave a lot of support to custmozime some features which was very helpful.

- Does not support gif files.
- Some pages doest have live update featues and need to publish the changes from editor dash board resulting the people who use the app to always "load" the app over and over to see any small changes we do. 
- Some pages cannot be edited from Computer and if i have to upload a photo i need to send it to my phone first and then upload to Yapp app.

Yapp was easy to use for both me as the conference coordinator and for the user.  I love that the app content and images store locally on the users phone so that when interent is tricky they aren't stuck with a spinnig wheel of death.  I just encouraged the users to look through the whole app for the conference before arriving, and then they were sure to have all the information even if they fell offline during.

**What do you dislike about Yapp?**

I wish there was a way to customize the user experience by user more - would love to be able to upload a personalized schedule based on the user's email address!

**What problems is Yapp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Yapp provided a quick and easy solution to having a conference app for a guidebook, directory, and general information without having to build an app from scratch and go through the app store process.  It allowed us to update the information on the fly, prevented us from needing to print schedules for hundreds of people, and allowed our users to chat with each other in the chat room function.

Using this platform was very easy to use to create an app  for our attendees and our attendees found it very easy to use on the user side. Very user friendly for all. The ease of implementation was amzaing and made it worth the money spent even regardless of any downfalls.

What I found the least helpful was the fact that I have to pay more to get analytics. I believe that there should be some limited analytics that come with the starter package. At least how many people downloaded the app and used it. I also would have found it helpful to have a survey option versus just a poll.

**What do you like best about Yapp?**

This was our first time using the app for our biannual field study, and it was a huge success. Our staff and cohort members loved it, with many praising it throughout the event.

The app made communication effortless and allowed us to make real-time schedule updates—something that would have been impossible with the printed travel guide we used to rely on. Plus, the cost was comparable to the printed guides that participants often didn't use. The convenience and efficiency it brought to our field study were invaluable.

**What do you dislike about Yapp?**

While the app was a great addition to our field study, there were a couple of drawbacks. I was disappointed that we had to upgrade to get the privacy and security we needed. Additionally, the inability to initially upload CSV files made it challenging to input information efficiently. These issues were frustrating, but overall, the app still provided significant benefits.

Another downside was the lack of a private chat function within the app, which meant we still had to rely on WhatsApp for private communications. This added an extra layer of complexity that could have been avoided with an integrated messaging feature.

We needed an app that could combine multiple functions in one place—like making real-time schedule changes, enabling group chat and announcements, and displaying bios and photos for cohort members, staff, and speakers. Having all these features in a single app would streamline our operations and enhance the experience for everyone involved.

There are several things I like about Yapp - pricing, features and it's easy to use. This was my first experience implementing an app and it was easy to input information and user-friendly for our customers.

I can't think of a feature I dislike. However, some of our older customers had trouble with the download and we had to help them through it.

Few changes could make it more convenient for administrators and users who update it. For instance, some areas are inaccessible for updates through the web and can only be managed via the mobile app. Additionally, the image gallery tab allows only direct image uploads without an option to create folders for different events. Having a folder structure would make it easier for users to organize and locate images efficiently.
