## Sylius Reviews
 ### 1. Flexible B2B Commerce Platform With Integration Deficiencies

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Strebel B. | Senior Procurement & Supply Chain Manager, Business Supplies and Equipment, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Sylius?**

Sylius serves as our core operating platform for office and industrial equipment wholesale trade. Its scalable B2B architecture can be freely adjusted to match our bulk purchasing business modes. Graduated pricing policies cater well to varied cooperation terms with enterprise buyers and long-term suppliers. The centralized inventory panel delivers instant stock data from all cooperative vendors, effectively preventing inventory surplus and shortage issues. Localized compliance configurations fully comply with German commercial norms, offering solid guarantee for daily stable wholesale operations and cutting manual data mistakes effectively.

**What do you dislike about Sylius?**

The built-in logistics monitoring function cannot satisfy cross-city distribution management demands within Germany. Batch exporting massive order and supplier datasets suffers obvious speed lag. Linking with mainstream enterprise ERP systems needs abundant customized coding work. Its after-sales processing module remains simplistic, failing to support layered approval procedures and complex dispute settlement required in B2B wholesale scenarios.

**What problems is Sylius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform centralizes dispersed order and stock information, getting rid of error-prone manual form statistics. It standardizes tiered discount settlement and streamlines joint stock allocation among suppliers. The whole procurement delivery cycle gets noticeably compressed. Meanwhile, inherent regulatory adaptation functions keep daily trading behaviors compliant with local laws, substantially lowering commercial operational risks.

 ### 2. Flexible E-Commerce Platform with Community Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saqer A. | Senior Management Consultant, Strategy & Operations, Management Consulting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Sylius?**

As a strategy and operations consultant, my favorite aspect of Sylius is its fully modular, Symfony-based architecture. It doesn’t lock clients into fixed templates or rigid operational workflows, letting us fully customize pricing logic, inventory rules, storefront layouts and sales processes to match unique business requirements. The clean, structured codebase ensures long-term maintainability and seamless business scaling for growing mid-market clients. Its native multi-store and multi-currency functionality is ideal for European cross-border operations. On top of that, its customizable sales and inventory reporting delivers audit-ready data tracking that easily adheres to strict German GDPR traceability standards, with active community resources streamlining our client implementation workflows significantly.

**What do you dislike about Sylius?**

Sylius’s biggest practical drawbacks show up in daily client operations. The default admin backend is functional but unrefined and unintuitive compared to modern SaaS e-commerce tools. Non-technical store managers cannot complete routine tasks like bulk product updates or inventory adjustments without developer assistance, creating extra operational friction. Native SEO and marketing features are very basic, so we always need third-party plugins to support promotional campaigns and search optimization, adding system complexity and maintenance work. Additionally, large product catalogs cause noticeable performance lag without manual backend optimization, creating extra workload for our enterprise client deployments.

**What problems is Sylius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We leverage Sylius to deliver fully customized e-commerce solutions for our digital transformation clients, replacing inflexible off-the-shelf platforms that limited business innovation. It eliminates unnecessary custom development work caused by mismatched system functions, cutting overall project costs and implementation timelines. The platform standardizes end-to-end order and inventory data management, ensures full GDPR-compliant data traceability, and builds scalable e-commerce ecosystems that support clients’ long-term operational growth and cross-border business expansion.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angela A. | Tax Manager, Construction, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Sylius?**

As a developer working for e-commerce platform for small business, Sylius went through many changes, being an open-source framework based on Symfony helped me. It also gives us an opportunity to design the storefront to suit our brand image and this is something very unique.

**What do you dislike about Sylius?**

It can be said that the support for comprehensive B2B features seems somewhat deficient in Sylius. These functionalities might have to be implemented by doing much more development work or installing extra plugins which are costlier and take time.

**What problems is Sylius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sylius is an open-source solution that offers elementary and affordable solutions for the creation of e-commerce stores. This is because it is an open source software whose modular design affords easy control over the functionalities incorporated.

The best features of this application is that it is light, fast and very understandable for people or company want to sale products. And where the customer can understand the settings of this application and that most of the users by small business companies that use this application who deal with me do not face any problem learn to adjust the settings.

**What do you dislike about Sylius?**

Previously, the browser was not free for a limited period for the purpose of testing because some of its most important features you have to pay in order to be able to check these features. This is something that makes its pioneers very anxious to be convinced to buy it.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan D. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Sylius?**

Has it is based on the popular framework Symfony, Sylius is realy easy to extend with custom development. It is opensource and really active on github so we can easily participate and send code to the sylius team.

**What do you dislike about Sylius?**

Maybe be the original design which is to simple and white for ec-ommerce view (the admin panel is quite beautiful). But anyway it is easy to change it and add our own templates.

**What problems is Sylius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We create ecommerce websites based on Symfony framework very easily. It is lightweight and allows us to create websites that really fits customer needs by overriding parts of the application and add our own logic and code.
