## SkypeTime Reviews
  ### 1. Easy background time tracking with reliable calendar sync and team visibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** VINAY P. | Mechanical Design Engineer, Design, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about SkypeTime?**

What I like most about SkypeTime is how it runs in the background and automatically captures call time. In my daily work, especially during design reviews and coordination calls, I don’t have to log time manually. This saves effort and also gives a more accurate picture when I review how my time was actually spent.
It has also improved how we schedule meetings within the team. Since availability is clearer, we avoid unnecessary back-and-forth, which helps keep discussions on track and reduces delays in project work.

One unexpected benefit for me was how well it stays synced with tools like Outlook. Earlier, I had occasional overlaps or missed meetings, but now things stay aligned, which makes daily planning smoother.
From a pricing/ROI perspective, the value comes more from time saved and reduced confusion rather than just features. It’s not a heavy tool, but it removes small inefficiencies that add up during the day, especially in team coordination. Onboarding was also straightforward. It didn’t take much time to get used to, and most features are easy to understand without much training. Support hasn’t been something I needed often, which itself shows the tool is stable for regular use.
In terms of intelligence, provides useful insights through basic tracking and reports. This helps in understanding patterns like how much time is going into meetings versus actual work, which is useful for planning and workload balance.

Overall, it improves workflow by making time tracking automatic, scheduling more organized, and giving better visibility into daily work.

**What do you dislike about SkypeTime?**

The mobile experience could definitely be better. It works for basic use, but compared to the desktop version, some features feel limited, especially when trying to quickly check things while on the move.

I’ve also noticed occasional delays in syncing between devices. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it can create a bit of confusion with time entries during busy work hours.

Reporting is fine for basic tracking, but customization is somewhat limited if you need more detailed insights. Also, it relies quite a bit on a stable internet connection, so performance can drop if connectivity is not good.

**What problems is SkypeTime solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In one of our recent design projects, we had a situation where multiple team members were involved in review discussions across different shifts. Before using SkypeTime, coordinating these discussions was quite time-consuming. We often didn’t have clear visibility on who was available or on leave, so setting up a single review call used to take multiple messages and follow-ups. Sometimes, meetings got delayed or rescheduled, which directly affected our timelines.
After using SkypeTime, this became much more structured. We could quickly check availability and plan discussions without going back and forth. In my experience, this alone saved around 15–20 minutes per meeting setup, especially when coordinating with 4–5 team members.

Another issue earlier was tracking effort spent on discussions versus actual design work. During project reviews, it was difficult to justify how much time went into coordination activities because everything was roughly estimated. Now, with proper tracking, I can clearly see the time spent on calls and discussions. This has helped in better effort estimation and more realistic planning for similar projects.
We also faced last-minute disruptions due to unplanned leaves. Since there was no centralized visibility, work had to be adjusted suddenly. With a more structured system now, leave and availability are clearer, so planning is more proactive and fewer surprises happen during execution.

Overall, we moved from a reactive way of managing work to a more planned and visible process. It has improved coordination, reduced delays in discussions, and made effort tracking more reliable in day-to-day work.

  ### 2. A Blessing for Remote Interviews, Though Wi‑Fi Drops Can Disrupt Calls

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew H. | Accounting Restaurant Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2026

**What do you like best about SkypeTime?**

Using SkypeTime in the workplace has given me the opportunity to stand out in what I do. Being able to conduct remote interviews without needing to arrange a satellite transmission like in the past feels like a major innovation—one that today’s media can really take advantage of. For a journalist like me, SkypeTime is a real positive.

**What do you dislike about SkypeTime?**

We have experienced the occasional dropped call when the Wi‑Fi connection has been poor. This isn’t an issue when taking meetings from the office or other populated locations; however, we do have some people who call in from remote areas with weak Wi‑Fi, and they sometimes get dropped from the meeting.

Being able to consolidate everything and keep all communication streamlined within one service helps us stay better organized and work more efficiently.

the opportunity to have open and direct conversations with leadership in a relaxed setting. It helps me gain clarity on organizational priorities, share my thoughts freely, and learn from their experiences.

**What do you dislike about SkypeTime?**

While I appreciate the intent behind SkypeTime, sometimes the sessions feel a bit rushed, and it can be challenging to cover all questions or topics in the limited time. I think adding a little more structure or extending the duration could make the conversations even more impactful

SkypeTime is solving the challenge of limited direct interaction with leadership. It helps ensure accurate reporting of work hours and goal achievement, allowing for perfect monitoring of employee activities, breaks, and work hours. It's very useful because it allows for validating hours worked when working remotely, which sometimes isn't the same as when working in the office. I think SkypeTime saves a lot of work and time monitoring who's doing their job, since the system validates all this information and centralizes it in one place.

**What do you dislike about SkypeTime?**

Sometimes you can feel closely watched, like a security camera following you everywhere, but when you meet goals, you realize the value of being under pressure.
