OmniPlan Reviews & Product Details

Omniplan’s best part for us is that by using its features we can get full control of the details and we utilized it to track the process and progress in project execution. Its reports are highly professional and this is important for us as we have found the reporting part quite weak in other software of this type. It is highly efficient in resource and budget management too. It has all the essential collaboration tools which we were in search of and it works so well with iPad, iPhone, and our Mac devices. I love it working and how it helped us in uplifting our productivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

They should make available other dynamic designs to make project presentations more eye-catching. And also its sky-high price is highly unappreciative since it is our necessity we are using it otherwise its price is quite expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Any time I need to manage interlocking cross dependencies, I count on OmniPlan. You get a one-time price and no fuss with the cloud. They update and faithfully use every new thing that comes with Mac OS upgrades. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

On the other hand, the cloud offers sharing and team collaboration features you can't get with offline software. It's Mac only so that is another limit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It has all project feature but the navigation panel allow full control on details. It has all key feature (critical pattern...) plus Montecarlo simulation. I’ve never used it to track the project execution, but also on this it seems very powerful. Plus: it has some pre-defined reports for the project that looks very professional Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is expensive.. and you’ll need also license for mobile Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how you can plan everything out in an easy and simple way. It’s good to see what something looks like before you actually make the change. You can visualize your projects which I really like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only thing I dislike is the cost but I understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The biggest advantage of OmniPlan is that we can create logical projects and manage them through Gantt charts, effectively summarizing the entire project. This ensures that resources are used efficiently, leading to definite project success. OmniPlan's greatest strength is its ability to provide a comprehensive visualization of the project, highlighting missing elements so they can be addressed promptly, ensuring ongoing project success. OmniPlan allows project tracking from anywhere, anytime, and offers an iOS mini project editor for reviewing and presenting project work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The biggest disadvantage is that it is only supported for Mac and iOS users, so one must have Apple products to use it. Android users cannot use OmniPlan. Another disadvantage is that if a person is not familiar with Gantt charts, they may struggle to work with OmniPlan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The feature that I like best in OmniPlan is the easy to manage tasks and resources direct on a Gantt chart Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Calculating hours of resources doing multiple tasks at the same time can be tricky, but nothing that would affect the experience too much. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

A few things: Auto-Effort Estimation, Critical Path, Gantt Timelines / Charts. Basically, you can develop a project plan in nested outline format, and a Gantt chart is created easily. It is simple to assign tasks to others, add estimated time requirements, due dates, and milestones. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It takes a while to get the hang of and learn, since there are so many features. But Omni group has videos that help through this process. It is also fairly expensive for what it is able to do, compared to other project management software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
