Good onboarding process, and the support from professional services team has been excellent. When there's a problem or issue identified, the response is fast and the issue gets resolved very quickly - even at weekends! Also the Judgify team has been helpful to figure out workarounds with us when something cannot be easily done in Judgify (due to the complexity of how the awards need to be run, rather than any major shortfalls in Judgify) The user interfaces for entrants and judges are intuitive and easy to use - we have received positive feedback from the judges on the user experience. The judges like to see the selected information on the entry and the scoring fields on the same window. Very useful to be able to have payment integration (and that's not difficult to implement), and also create different submission forms and scoring forms for different categories. Good to be able to download various data (including filtering of the data fields) into CSV files easily. **What do you dislike about Judgify?** Nothing to dislike but there are a few potential areas for improvements: (1) In the submission form, if the entrant changes from one category to another, and the set of questions are different, then the mandatory questions can be left blank when the submit button is pressed rather than not allowing the submission to go ahead because it's a required field. (2) There's no way to track any partial refund of the submissions, or withdrawal of an order that has cancelled payment. (3) Would be useful to be able to save reports with a subset of data fields in particular order, so we don't have to re-select the fields when we need to run different reports. (4) Would be useful to have some further real-time status reports to allow the organiser to see the progress, without having to resort to exporting the data into CSV files and generating the status reports in another software. Or if there's API or scheduled download available to allow integration with a reporting/BI software. (5) If the judging rounds can be applicable by category or group of categories, rather than across all categories. eg we have different start/end periods for different categories, and so the round 2 of one category may overlap round 1 of another category, and currently there's no way of having 2 different rounds running concurrently on Judgify even though they are different categories. **What problems is Judgify solving and how is that benefiting you?** Previously the submission of the entries was done using one software, and the judging was done using spreadsheets, resulting in a lot of "copy-and-paste" and many spreadsheet files flying around. Also the details of the entries cannot be displayed in the same screen as the scoring, and so the info have to be either printed out, or toggling different windows on the same screen, or displayed on separate screens. With Judgify, the submission and judging can be managed within the same software, and as the information are stored in one place, the status can be checked in real time. Also for judges, they can see the required details of the entries when they are scoring. ### 5. The system saves time, which makes it good value for money. **What do you dislike about Judgify?** In an ideal situation, we would like to create different forms for the various categories of our competition. However, this does not seem to be possible—at least not with our version of Judgify. The back end of the system works well for us. It's pretty easy to set up a contest. Most photographers are able to upload their photos with little difficulty. It integrates well with PayFlowPro, the commercial version of PayPal that allows entry fees to be routed to our company. Customer support is good. **What do you dislike about Judgify?** We have chosen not to use the judging portion of the system because the large images take 15-20 seconds to display. Our judges review about 300 finalists each year, which would mean taking more than an hour just to have the images download and display on their screens before they can begin judging the photos. Our workaround is to have Judgify provide Zip files of the photos, which we then rename to match the entry number using a script. The judges can then download the entries for review on their computers, which is a much faster process. We previously used another judging application that allowed me to download the photos at my convenience. I would like to see Judgify offer this as an option. I made the switch to Judgify for other reasons, but this is a feature that I miss. I like to be able to download entries fairly early in the contest period so that we can offer an "Early Entries" photo gallery in order to encourage more entries and then to download all entries when the contest is over. **What problems is Judgify solving and how is that benefiting you?** Judgify provides a cost-effective application for having photographers enter our contest and for allowing us to manage it. The submission forms are flexible - and we have enjoyed being able to design them thoughtfully to include different kinds of responses. The data collected in the submission forms is very easy to pull from the Judgify back end in order to analyze participation. On the other side, the judging framework is very simple, and the ease of building out scorecards from scratch is something we appreciate. There are very few barriers to participation for people who are not especially familiar with technology because the login and use for judges is so easy for them. This is the fifth time we will have used Judgify for our annual initiative for middle schoolers because it fits our needs so well. It is easy enough to use not only for our virtual volunteer judges, but also for our student entrants who can fill out the forms and upload submissions easily enough with or without the help of a teacher. We appreciate that we have had great service from the team at Judgify over the years as well. Every time we have had a question, concern, or needed help with something we could not adjust, there has been a timely solution. **What do you dislike about Judgify?** If anything, sometimes some of the hover hints on Judgify could be made slightly more clear to explain features that can be adjusted. An example that comes to mind is on the judging round page, where it lets you adjust the 'judging round overall score.' It took some time using the platform to understand some of the adjustments that you can make. But that being said, once you learn how the platform functions, it's great to be able to make so many decisions about the functionality of your event. In the future, we'd also love to see more ways to customize the branding aspects of the page the event users see, by integrating our brand fonts and imagery in a more obvious way. **What problems is Judgify solving and how is that benefiting you?** If we did not use Judgify, we would not have an easy way to handle submissions to our student contest every year. Additionally, having a video player integrated into the system allows us to not only do submission on Judgify but also the judging for our student contest. ### 30. We were frequently suffering from bottlenecks and server crashes when we were hosting our own entry system. Judgify takes all the burden away, you just point your entrants at Judgify and they take care of it effortlessly.
