"Open Source Flexibility with Setup Challenges"
What do you like best about Jitsi?

I like that Jitsi is open source and costs nothing to use. It's great that I can configure almost every part of the audio and video communication without worrying about technical needs. Plus, it's completely deployable on my cloud infrastructure, and I don't need any special kind of hardware or software for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jitsi?

The learning curve for Jitsi is quite complex. I have to spend an enormous amount of time understanding how the data sheets work. Also, the setup was complex. Setting up a Docker environment is the simplest method, but using Jitsi without Docker requires configuring servers and installing GCP manually, which is really time-consuming and complex. I like Jitsi for its hassle-free experience, allowing quick video meetings and team discussions directly in the browser, without needing downloads or account setups. I appreciate its simplicity and privacy, enabling instant meetings with reliable audio and video quality. Jitsi is very convenient for spontaneous collaboration, working well for quick meetings, screen sharing, and joining from any device without setup. The easy initial setup where you can start or join a meeting instantly is also a major plus. Overall, Jitsi is great for small teams or casual use due to its quick, simple, and privacy-friendly nature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jitsi?

Jitsi can sometimes have inconsistent audio/video quality in larger meetings, and the limited advanced features (like detailed meeting controls or analytics) could be improved for more professional use cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Go-To Solution for Remote Meetings"
What do you like best about Jitsi?

I like Jitsi for its flexibility to create multiple rooms and use cases for various meetings. The easier switching of rooms and desks is also great. It really helps us communicate and connect better. Jitsi offers a much better experience compared to the platform we were using previously. Plus, I found the initial setup to be really simple and not too difficult. What do you dislike about Jitsi?

Sometimes there are some UX errors. There was this one time we were not able to minimize the platform. For a couple of weeks, but then that got solved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure, Open-Source Video Calls with Excellent Audio Quality"
What do you like best about Jitsi?

I appreciate that Jitsi is open-source and privacy-focused. The end-to-end encryption gives me peace of mind for sensitive discussions. Being able to self-host the platform (if needed) or use the hosted version without tracking is a significant advantage over big-tech competitors. The audio quality is generally crisp and clear. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jitsi?

The mobile application experience can be a bit hit-or-miss compared to the desktop browser experience. Occasionally, screen sharing can cause a lag in the video feed if the internet connection isn't perfect. I would also love to see better built-in whiteboard tools for collaboration during meetings.
