"GoodBarber: Outil Polyvalent pour créer des apk sans codage"
4/5
What do you like best about GoodBarber?

Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodBarber?

"Facilitates App Creation, But Improvements Needed"
3.5/5
What do you like best about GoodBarber?

I like the ease of creating an app without knowing how to program with GoodBarber, and now the new update with the possibility of creating tools with artificial intelligence. I also appreciate the native APIs like Spotify and YouTube, although I've had issues with the WordPress API. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodBarber?

The APIs could have a better interface and I would like more options to customize how blog content, YouTube, and Spotify appear. Additionally, the custom code function still has some limitations, such as not being able to remove the space under the custom menu, which hinders the desired experience. It would also be useful if all functionalities had the same options, like forcing the app to start with the menu closed, which not all offer consistently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jerome Granados of GoodBarber

Obrigado Antonio, and thank you for taking the time to resubmit your review. Good to read that the AI Extension Builder is already part of your toolkit.

On customizing how your blog, YouTube and Spotify content is displayed, the Advanced Edition extension gives access to many more of your app's configuration properties, which you edit directly. Depending on the properties available for those sections, it may let you go further than the interface allows.

For the WordPress connection and the space under your custom menu, our support team will gladly look at your app with you.

"Building a Content-Rich App Without Being a Developer"
4/5
What do you like best about GoodBarber?

I like that GoodBarber lets me build a professional native app without having to be a developer. It gives me a lot of flexibility to customize the app, and the support team has been very helpful whenever I’ve needed assistance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodBarber?

The learning curve can be a little steep, especially if you want to go beyond the basic features. I also sometimes feel that the app’s structure can limit creativity and customization because you have to work within GoodBarber’s predefined framework. Some useful features, such as Memberships and Chat, also cost extra. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jerome Granados of GoodBarber

Thank you Claire. Building a professional native app without being a developer is exactly what the platform is for, so it is good to read it works that way for you, and the support team will be glad to read your words.

On working within a predefined framework, there is now a way out of it: the AI Extension Builder. Describe the section or the feature you have in mind in plain language, and it generates it inside your app, plugged into the platform, with no code to write. It is the answer we built for exactly the limit you describe, and our support team will gladly help you with a first prompt.

On extensions like Memberships and Chat being paid, that is a deliberate choice: rather than raising the price for everyone, we keep the subscription lower and let each customer add only what their project needs. Whether it is the right balance is a fair debate, and your feedback helps us have it.

"Easy and convenient platform for managing mobile apps"
5/5
What do you like best about GoodBarber?

What I like most about GoodBarber is the simplicity of managing my app after it has been created. I can update content, adjust the design and make changes without needing to write code. The back office is convenient to use, and having everything in one place makes maintaining the app much faster and easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodBarber?

One thing I dislike is that some features and settings are not always easy to find in the back office. Occasionally, I need to spend extra time looking through the menus or documentation to figure out how to change a specific setting. Making some of these options easier to access would improve the overall experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy, Intuitive App Building with Plenty of Customization"
5/5
What do you like best about GoodBarber?

What I like best about GoodBarber is how easy it is to build and manage a professional mobile app without advanced coding skills. The dashboard is intuitive, there are plenty of customization options, and I can quickly update content or make changes to my app. It saves me a lot of time and makes managing the app much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodBarber?

Some of the more advanced settings can be a little confusing at first, and it sometimes takes time to find exactly where a specific option is located. I would also like to see even more flexibility in some customization options. Overall, these are minor issues and they haven't significantly affected my experience with the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jerome Granados of GoodBarber

Thank you Sebastian. Managing the app after launch, without touching code, is exactly what the back office is meant for, so it is good to read it works that way for you. You are right that some settings take time to locate, and your feedback goes to the team in charge of the back office. In the meantime, our support team can point you to any setting in a few minutes if you get stuck.

"GoodBarber: a stable and profitable app, easy to manage without a developer"
5/5
What do you like best about GoodBarber?

We use GoodBarber for the PSW app – Planète SW, the French-speaking Star Wars fan club since 1999. The drag-and-drop back office allows us to publish news, events, and forum access without a dedicated developer: a new section is set up in a few hours, not weeks. The site's content automatically feeds the app, and push notifications bring members back during major news (trailers, releases). UI/UX: clear navigation by sections, a native experience smoother than a mobile site. Integrations: sync with Planete-StarWars.com, push integrated into the editorial flow. Performance: stable app, regular updates without managing Xcode/Android Studio. ROI: much more profitable than a custom app for an association; over 10,000 downloads, rating ~4.7/5. Support: taken over in a few days by the editorial team. AI: not central, but automations (sync, push) already reduce the daily manual load. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodBarber?

GoodBarber remains limited as soon as you step out of the "content + standard sections" model: the deep integration of our forum (nearly 500,000 messages, RPG, complex interactions) mainly goes through embedded web pages rather than a true native experience, which is less smooth than a custom-developed app. Advanced customization (very specific ergonomics, custom community features) also quickly hits the builder's options. But these are just details. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jerome Granados of GoodBarber

Thank you Pierre-Emmanuel, and congratulations on what Planète SW has built: a community running since 1999, more than 10,000 downloads and a 4.7 rating on the stores is a track record very few fan apps can show.

Two things have changed since you set up your workflow, and both speak directly to your review. First, on content: your app now has its own MCP server. You can connect it to the AI client you already use (Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT) and add or edit articles, events, photos and push notifications by simply asking, from the tool where your editorial team already works. Second, on customization: the AI Extension Builder lets you describe a missing feature in plain language and get a custom section generated and rendered live in your app, plugged into GoodBarber's own APIs. It does not turn a 500,000-message forum into a native section overnight, but it moves the ceiling you hit on advanced customization, and it is worth a try on your RPG interactions.

Thanks again for taking the time, and may the Force be with the PSW team.

"The fastest way to ship a genuinely modern app on your own"
5/5
What do you like best about GoodBarber?

I've been with GoodBarber for almost 6 years now, and I have to say that the quality of their work, the solutions they offer, and the innovation they consistently demonstrate are greatly underestimated in the market.

The UI/UX is honestly one of the best I've seen in this category. The back office is clean, logical, and genuinely pleasant to work in, and the apps you ship out of it look polished by default. Even non technical users on my side can jump in and get productive quickly.

On integrations, the platform plays well with everything I need: APIs, external services, payment providers, analytics, plus native connectors that save a lot of custom work. Whenever I've needed to plug GoodBarber into an existing ecosystem, it just worked.

Performance has never been an issue. Builds are fast, the published apps are responsive, load times are short, and I've had no meaningful downtime over these years. That reliability matters more than any feature list.

In terms of pricing and ROI, the value is remarkable. What they charge versus what you would spend building and maintaining the equivalent with an agency or an in house team is simply not comparable. The return was obvious within the first months.

Support and onboarding are excellent. The team is responsive, knowledgeable, and actually helpful rather than scripted, and the documentation plus tutorials make getting started painless. Over 6 years I've always had answers when I needed them.

Finally, the AI and intelligence side is where they keep surprising me. They ship modern, genuinely useful capabilities instead of gimmicks, and they do it early. That is what innovation looks like in practice.

I'm very pleased to be able to use their platform and very satisfied with the solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodBarber?

Honestly, there's very little I dislike. The only real limitation I've run into is the lack of control over push notification personalization. Right now there's not much you can do to tailor pushes to individual users or segments, and connecting that layer to external automation tools like Make or similar is not really possible either. I know it's on the roadmap, so I'm confident it will come.

That said, I think this is fairly normal. Giving full autonomy over push configuration is a sensitive thing to open up, both technically and in terms of the risk of misuse, so I understand why they've been cautious about it. It's a limitation I can live with, and it's the only one I'd point to after almost 6 years on the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jerome Granados of GoodBarber

Thank you for taking the time to write all this. Thank you, genuinely.

On push personalization, I have better news than you expect: what you're describing has shipped. It isn't in the back office, which is where you were looking. Our MCP server now handles push, so you can ask an assistant like Claude for a notification and it composes the three things that matter: the message, the audience, and what opens on tap.

The audience part is exactly your point. You can target by platform, user group, language, location, app launch frequency, subscription status, and individual user identification. So you can re-engage readers who have drifted, or speak differently to active, expired and non-subscribers. Scheduling comes with it: a date and time, a day of the week, or each user's own local time.

And it goes past Make or Zapier rather than joining them. Those wire a fixed trigger to a fixed action. The MCP hands over the operations themselves, so the logic stays with you.

You called this the only limitation after almost six years. I'd rather you had one fewer. Happy to point you to the guide.

Jérôme

"Total autonomy to manage our radio app, daily and without a developer"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GoodBarber?

What I appreciate most about GoodBarber is being able to manage our local radio's mobile app on my own, without a developer. I run a small station (Jordanne FM, in Cantal) and handle both commercial, on-air, and digital aspects. GoodBarber allows me to keep the app alive daily without spending all my time on it.

Specifically, I mainly use:

- The CMS by sections (Local News, Team Jordanne FM, Listen Again): we publish an article, a podcast, or a replay in a few minutes, and it displays neatly on iOS and Android without retouching.

- Push notifications, which allow us to inform our listeners about a special broadcast, a game, or important local news. It's a real audience driver for a local radio.

- Statistics (downloads, launches, page views, iOS/Android distribution), useful for managing content and promoting the app to our advertisers.

- The opening towards AI: thanks to the connector, I can query stats or prepare content directly from my AI assistant, saving me precious time on repetitive tasks.

The unexpected benefit: the app has become a commercial argument. I can offer my clients a presence beyond the airwaves, on a platform we fully control. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodBarber?

The main obstacle for a small structure like ours remains the price. The subscription represents a significant budget for an associative or cooperative radio, and some interesting features are reserved for higher offers or provided via paid extensions. The return on investment is real, but it needs to be built over time.

Regarding integrations, there is still a lack of more native synchronization with tools specific to the radio profession. Our news articles are hosted on our site (Radio King), and circulating content between the two platforms still requires manipulations or setting up configurable feeds. A simpler gateway with radio CMS would save valuable time.

The back-office is very comprehensive, but this richness also has its downside: some settings are a bit buried in the menus, and mastering advanced options (design, sections, push settings) requires real learning time. Support responds, but documentation more oriented towards concrete use cases would be a real plus.

Finally, in terms of performance, the preview of modifications and the delay in publishing updates on the stores could be faster.

Nothing blocking on a daily basis, but these are the points that would make the tool go from excellent to indispensable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jerome Granados of GoodBarber

"Easy to learn, very comprehensive, and with exceptional technical support"
5/5
What do you like best about GoodBarber?

It is easy to learn, practical to use, very comprehensive in features, and its technical support is very efficient and friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodBarber?

There's nothing I really dislike, I always recommend it to my friends who have businesses. If there's something I don't like, it's the fact that I can't afford the Reseller membership at the moment; I would love to offer projects to all my acquaintances. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jerome Granados of GoodBarber

"Perfect Simplicity with Some Shortcomings"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GoodBarber?

I appreciate the simplicity of the GoodBarber system. The modules are simple and easy to deploy. The Agenda, with its booking options and integrated contact, is a great feature. Daily management is truly a pleasure because everything is simplified to the maximum. Moreover, the support was very helpful during the initial setup, making the process very pleasant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodBarber?

There are some aspects of GoodBarber that do not suit me. Firstly, the customization of blocks is somewhat limited. Apart from colors and font sizes, there are missing aesthetic and organizational options for certain blocks. For example, on the "Quick Access" block, I cannot choose the spacing or icon size, which quickly causes everything to shift to the next line. For article blocks, even though I can choose sizes and images, I find it not very customizable, especially if I want to highlight certain content. Furthermore, basic features like directory management, article notifications, an integrated feed analysis function, and the ability to attach multiple attachments per article are missing. Finally, in terms of notifications, it would be useful to be able to mark an article or photo as long as the item has not been opened, like a "new" badge for unread items. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jerome Granados of GoodBarber

Merci Gregory, for such a detailed review. It is good to read that the Agenda, with its booking options and integrated contact, does the job every day.

Some points on your list can already be addressed. On block customization, the back office deliberately keeps its settings simple, and the Advanced Edition extension gives access to many more of your app's configuration properties, which you edit directly. Depending on the properties available for the Quick Access and article blocks, it may let you go further than the interface allows: https://www.goodbarber.com/extensions/advanced-edition/

For multiple attachments, you can upload your files in Settings > Other settings > My Files, then link to as many of them as you need from the text of your article, using hypertext links.

For article notifications, the Automatic Push extension sends a notification each time a new article is published in the section you choose: https://www.goodbarber.com/help/manage-and-send-push-notifications-r54/configure-automatic-push-notifications-on-native-apps-a204/ And for a need such as a directory, the AI Extension Builder lets you describe the feature and generates it inside your app.

Thank you for the precision of your list: that level of detail is what helps us most to choose what comes next.
