**What do you like best about FareHarbor?**

The thought that we are going to be leaving them.

**What do you dislike about FareHarbor?**

High booking fees and painfully slow checkout process due to inability to process a reasonable amount of add-ons. More suited to a small operator with not too much to offer than a business with a diverse selection of services, dining and entertainment add-ons. Our customers are complaining about extremely high booking fees. Our sales have dropped by 25% since joining due to a 14 second spinning wheel of death our customers experience going  through the booking process. Fareharbors answer was for us to reduce our services and were not willing to fix from their end. Not as intuitive as other booking software and has a complicated reporting system with no graphics to show comparison trends. I completely regret having moved from Rezdy buying into Fareharbor’s sales pitch that they will increase online sales and maximise productivity. The journey has been stressful and frustrating having stuck over a year with them only to see my business suffer as a result. Time to take back control and move back to Rezdy, who have must lower booking fees, quicker response time, far superior automated customer communications to track and expedite payments and has demonstrated a far better sales performance. Reporting is better where you can do weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly performance comparisons with chart graphics to support.

**What problems is FareHarbor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None. Absolutely none. If anything they have created more problems. We are now receiving negative feedback from customers over the high booking fees, and I would guess they are probably the highest amongst all booking platforms. Each time we have gone to the support team with issues like this and the painfully and critically slow checkout times, the answer was they were unable to do anything about it.

I liked the idea of my customers being able to book directly online.

**What do you dislike about FareHarbor?**

The interface is way to convoluted for myself or my team to use. I come from the tech world so I'm shocked by just how bad it is. We've had a few bookings through products setup by fareharbor but I just learned they put in the wrong pricing and they skipped a lot of the descriptions we gave them. I couldn't fix their mistake on my phone and had to be on a computer to do it.

Me not having to manually schedule some bookings.

**What do you like best about FareHarbor?**

Their calendar system is aesthetically pleasing and one of the easier ones to use. Invoicing is also easy if the customer also has a FareHarbor account, and reports are not difficult to figure out eiter. You can alter trips, change times, and types of tours quickly. Also, this is a software that most of my customers say works well to incorporate with their software, making merging booking calendars a snap.

**What do you dislike about FareHarbor?**

Unbelievable fee change. FareHarbor has decided in addition to their 6% fee. They are also going to round up all reservations book through their system and take the "change" and keep it for themselves so they are stealing from our clients, some thing we never agreed to. Also they let us know that if they let us know about this 3 weeks before it's going to be implemented in the middle of July, our busy season so that seems especially underhanded. 


In the last few years, these problems have seemed to be getting worse: customer service doesn't answer when you need them. On holiday weekends, you can't get software support, and even on "normal" workdays, they are always understaffed if you want to fix something in your system quickly. For a while, they did seem to be trying to fix this, but I haven't seen improvement yet, and many times you will have a problem you want to be solved that day; it may sit for days because they are staffing more, in my opinion, Monday through Friday. Honestly, as of late, the problem has gotten much worse. I think they have forgotten that most businesses that use this software are tourism; for us, that's seven days a week. For larger updates to your calendar or items, I have had support tickets sit for weeks, and when I inquired, they just emailed, "we are swamped" well, so are we!  Lastly invoicing, is easy to use, but they added a feature where a client who has a FareHarbor account could pay you through the system. It seems like a good idea, except FareHarbor, takes fees like the invoice payment is a  credit card charge, and you can not turn off the payment options. So if you want to use their invoicing, they are gleening a percentage of that money, and they don't tell the customer. The customer thinks they paid the whole amount to you, but FareHarbor has taken a processing fee even though they were not involved in the booking process. I already have to pay the affiliate fees for the reservation. I understand some companies like the convenience of getting paid through FareHarbor, but I would prefer to get all of my payment and shut off that feature. I would also be wary of their new terms of service; they are starting to put more and more of the risk on the service users, even though the reason we use a service like this is to avoid some of the risks. It is disappointing how FareHarbor is changing.

**What do you like best about FareHarbor?**

The people at FareHarbor are literally the best. Any time I have a question or a request, they answer me back quickly and completely. They are very thorough and never need reminding. Their software is very user-friendly as well. Anyone can use it!

There honestly isn't much I can think of that I don't like. Some of the reports are not self-explanatory, but if you ask the customer service to help you, you shouldn't have a problem finding what you need.

**What problems is FareHarbor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They help us with everything, from booking and taking payments, to website design and maintenance. It is so nice to be able to ask them to do just about anything and not have to worry about trying to figure it out myself. They are so helpful.

**What do you like best about FareHarbor?**

FareHarbor was easier to set up products, adjust pricing and give discounts on the fly. Setting up affiliate accounts was easy and the network is more wide than Checkfront at the moment.

**What do you dislike about FareHarbor?**

They keep your money until the reservation date, so to me my customers are giving them a loan. They do not have a simple solution for clients who have reservations that cross a midnight. The customer must choose the number of days they want to rent and it causes confusion. Further complicating when their confirmation only shows a start date. For us we needed the customer to see a start and end date and be able to select from there what is available. When we used FareHarbor we were constantly having to add or remove a day for reservations because the customer was confused at booking.

I not longer use FareHarbor, they are not solving any of my issues or benefiting me in any way.

**What do you like best about FareHarbor?**

The basic booking sheet and calendar are very user friendly. Their support is always available to help and willing to find the answer to any questions or issues we may have.

**What do you dislike about FareHarbor?**

The only thing we are lacking is the ability to sell merchandise and track inventory, similar to a traditional POS system. Some of the features can be confusing, but we call or email support and they are right on it!

**What problems is FareHarbor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are seeing more online bookings and guests are able to check in directly at the activity without stopping at our ticket booth. This alleviates a staffing issue that we've been faced with for some time now.

**What do you like best about FareHarbor?**

Fareharbor is a great software and a great company. They charge a very low % to process payments, and allow an amazing each of customization and integrations with OTAs and software providers. Their support are REAL humans that respond within 24 hours with substantive answers to the questions you asked, I can't think of a single company like that. They're constantly inventing new features like seating charts, none of which do they charge money for, just trying to be the best platform with the best options.

**What do you dislike about FareHarbor?**

It can be a bit more like a PC, as opposed to the ease of use of a Mac. You have the freedom and features, a couple of the features take a little getting used to. Their way of adding discount codes as Campaigns > custom fields > discounted prices... it's pretty easy to use, but if you asked me what those terms mean, it's still a bit too complicated. But offering a zillion features, you might be a bit too complicated at first, that's just the real-world tradeoff of great functionality.

Organize all my bookings in one place, even from software that doesn't integrate with any other software!

**What do you like best about FareHarbor?**

Fareharbor makes it easy to create items, adjust availability, process payment, read reports, automate messages and so much more. I have tried other services but always find my way back to Farehabor. Also if I need any help they always have someone ready to answer the phone and jump right in.

**What do you dislike about FareHarbor?**

I do not like the inability to track customer engagement and provide abandoned cart email remarketing. I also don't like the difficulty for customers who want to book multiple trips and need to place separate bookings. I also wish they had a more seamless merchandise/eCommerce integration.

Farehabor has allowed us to be able to take bookings while we are out on a trip or at home asleep. This helps cut down on costs and makes it easy for customers.

Some functions are easy to use but not all. The price is fine; it's the average commission they handle. At first, the service is good.

When I had a question, there was no chat for technical support. I had to send an email to FareHarbor asking my questions. And the response was not immediate; it took a few hours.

The reservation is automatic and this is very good. It is simple to install on my website.

Easy to install and set up. Good customer service team. Onboarding was a breeze. Overall the software worked really well.

It lacked next-level features such as an integrated waiver. I would have liked to see more ability to customize.

Fare harbor is a simple and effective way to sell tickets for experiences and cruises. They make purchasing these tickets very simple from a consumer side and offer multiple options so that you can customize the ticket experience.

I wish that Fareharbor accepted PayPal. It would give people much greater flexibility when looking to purchase a product if they were to offer the benefits that Paypal comes with.

We were able to integrate all or most of our contacts info from our old system to fare harbor.

We run an escape room. Say a group books for 4 players, then comes in with 5, we have to manually go in and change some information.

Navigation is pretty simple but may seem a bit tricky at first. Integration took a bit of back and forth with the fare harbor support team.

Fare harbor will automatically shut down booking availability once it is inside the time window we have specified. This prevents over booking.

**What do you like best about FareHarbor?**

Best thing about Fareharbor is that the more you use it, the more advantage you get from it. At first I was very doubtious about it, but after I got to know the system, I became really fond of it. You can make it bend on your needs, and modify it quite a lot and if you do not know something, the support team is more than happy to be helping or even doing the things ready for you. Really good support service. Easy to use and manage, easy to teach for everyone and all my workers have been really pleased with it so far.

**What do you dislike about FareHarbor?**

Using the system on a phone is a bit clumsy, but not possible. Would be amazing to be able to manage multiple destinations in one screen. Also editing should have more flexible options. At start it is confusing and seems really big job to set up, but in reality it is reather easy when you just get the hang of it.

**What problems is FareHarbor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am planning an managing our daily activities with this system. We have hundreds of people doing different activities daily and with Fareharbor, I manage the activities, capacities, online bookability, recourses and also the work missions for the guides. Also our kitchen team can check the amount of people in each activity and therefore they know how much food to prepare to each trip. Reception can use this to see any availability left if any visitors would like to book on the front desk. Really useful and frees time from the actual planning and checkin, as  when setting up you already make the daily schedule base for the coming year.

The most amazing part is that this software integrate with our website and phones so clients can access the service through their phones. It is simple to book tour and travel from anyplace anytime.

I barely have problems working with this excellent tool. I have benefited a lot and my clients have not complained of delays and hence i have no dislikes.

This software allows you to manage your clients no matter the number, from bookings to tours everything run smoothly through this software. I enjoy working with this software and therefore i recommend it.

This software has payment portal where clients can make their payments to their various destinations. Managing them is 3asy and communicating with them is simple. Making transfers into various hotels is simple and quick to avoid delay.

Is that the platform has a very good on boarding team , they help you with all the process and they even setup and customize everything for you, and is free they just charge you a commission for every sell

Normally all the platforms are very expensive and they charge every month

the only thing is for instance if you are in Mexico and you sell in usd dollars the final pricing show in local currency as pesos

Other thing is that is that they don't have a mobile app

**What do you like best about FareHarbor?**

Our reservations rely on equipment rental and Fareharbor allows us to input our equipment and track it across multiple classes/rentals within the same time slots.  (aka "Shared Resources")  For example, if we have 10 Paddle Boards available and someone books 2 of them at 10am for SUP Yoga, it will pull those 2 boards out of the availabilities of all other classes/rentals at that same time slot.  This allows us to give all classes/rentals a fair shot at our full fleet vs saying "we have 10 boards for 2 classes so this one gets 5 and that one gets 5" ...when the demand for that day may be 8 in one and 2 in the other. 

**What do you dislike about FareHarbor?**

I love almost everything about FH, but I REALLY despise how payments are shown in bookings.  Everywhere you can possibly look on a booking, it will list payment received as $x, but in reality it's showing payment received minus your FH fees.... which is NOT an accurate display of the payment received from a client, but rather the money we, as a company, end up collecting from that particular booking after FH fees are taken out.  This is EXTREMELY confusing when talking to clients who need refunds, reschedules or just have a question about what they were billed.  We look at the screen and even where it shows their credit card info, it states "$x charged to Visa #xxxx" ...when that's not the full amount that was collected.  The ONLY way to see the amount they were billed is to take the steps you would for emailing them a receipt.  At that point you can "preview" the email and see their accurate receipt.  It's really REALLY dumb.

I highly recommend it.  Make friends with your account rep because they will be SO helpful along the way.

**What problems is FareHarbor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use FareHarbor to manage all reservations (online and in-person) for a Stand Up Paddleboard and Kayak rental company.  It not only keeps track of reservations, but also keeps track of what equipment we have available (aka "resources") at any given time.

Fareharbor's customer support is unreal. From the moment we signed-up with them, they have excelled at being super responsive- and friendly about every interaction (no matter how many times I need help setting up codes etc) no matter the time of day or night!

**What do you dislike about FareHarbor?**

Because Fareharbor has so many options to help my company, build reports, set-up my for sale events and tickets etc, the software can at times be overwhelming. Lucky for me, support answers every call and quickly takes care of anything I can't do myself (and never makes me feel like I'm "putting them out."

**Recommendations to others considering FareHarbor:**

Really dig to see all the hidden gems that FH has to offer like their websites, affiliate programs etc. It is way more than just a ticket outlet.

I switched to Fareharbor because they had the best software for booking my Escape Rooms and Murder Mystery Dinners (from a customer standpoint). The ease in which customers can book events makes a huge difference in our conversions, and switching has increased our conversion rate through our website significantly. Fareharbor's tracking software allows me to track all my marketing efforts, which should help me be more efficient in my marketing spend each year (just started with this in the last 6 months).

give it a whirl, you will NOT be disappointed. If you can't figure out how to make something work for you, their customer service TEAM will make it happen, and send you a video on how they did it in your system, not in general.  there's no cost to the client (YOU) the cost is absorbed by client ONLY when booking online. That being said, since FH makes their revenue based on online sales they do what they can to promote online sales. We have seen a significant increase in online direct sales since switching to FH. FH will make the updates to your website, at NO COST to you so your customers can book online directly from your website. You can add as many products, packages, options and additional add-ons as you want. and FH will set this up for you COMPLETELY free of charge. They have an amazing TEAM, a rep for each section of their product to assist you personally. Someone is always accessible to assist you when you have a question. We have yet to be disappointed

I have tried multiple booking companies for my brewery tour business  and the only one that has been easy to work with and  with service that is truly quick and available is Fareharbor. I have not regretted my switch to their booking and  after so many  ignored issues with other booking competitors ,  Fareharbor is a breath of fresh air in comparison and they really seem to care.  I recommend them to anyone  needing a dependable booking company.

Some features can be a bit complex at first but with the videos and available service help its easily remedied.

**What do you like best about FareHarbor?**

FareHarbor values a tour business no matter how small or large it is. Team members have specific expertise in generating tour sales online: digital marketing, Google Analytics tracking, SEO analysis, website design and so much more. Furthermore, I have a great rapport with my awesome Account Manager who is always looking out for my best interests. She is responsive to my emails and scheduling a time discuss issues that take more time.

FareHarbor’s mobile app is super easy to use and allows tour operators to go paperless.

Customer support is available 24/7/365. Team members are friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help tour operators figure out technical issue on the backend. 

FareHarbor is on the cutting edge of advanced reservation technology and has experienced astonishing growth since its launch in 2013. FareHarbor rocks the booking software world!

Adding promo codes to tours is a long process and a bit confusing. Wish it was easier to use.

FareHarbor has helped my business grow by using targeted SEO keywords to improve my Google ranking. 

Also, FareHarbor designed my awesome website for free! I never ever expected anything like that to happen when I came onboard in August of 2017.

The support team is very fast acting and responsive to our needs. The system is intuitive and easy to navigate. It works well via multiple APIs to connect to the distribution networks we use like Expedia. Keeps our business running with little headache.

**What do you dislike about FareHarbor?**

The software lacks a little in reporting, options for custom tours, connections with accounting software, and employee scheduling software. One of the largest drawbacks is you can not sell add-on items like shirts, meals, or souvenirs from the system. A POS feature would help a lot. The iOS app is just their mobile website in a dedicated browser. Overall it is a good stand-alone product for working with tour reservations but lacks in other functionality. It does get better and better every day but still has a long way to go.

FareHarbor collects, manages, and processes payments for tour reservations. It handles manifests and oversees our tour schedule. **What do you like best about FareHarbor?**

I like the customer service and the flexibility to adjust my schedule/pricing/etc. to work around a changing environment. We have a variety of different ticket types and costs. We are able to get them all integrated with FareHarbor.

The waiver integration could be better. We would prefer to have the waiver integrated within the system instead of having to integrate a 3rd party waiver.

Ensure you can get all your client types and schedules setup early. That helps build the rest of the platform.

FareHarbor makes creating monthly reports every easy. Communicating with clients who have existing reservations is also pretty easy. We can let them know about weather delays or any changes that were not planned. We also have a variety of ticket types that users can select and are easily distinguished. However, we do need the FareHarbor tech support team to create them We are not able to create them on our own.

We love how it integrates into our website. It is full of features that make the reservation process easy for both the user and the admin. The customer service was also outstanding. With our previous system, it was very difficult to reach support quickly. FareHarbor has been immediately available. We also like the pricing. FareHarbor provides better service at a cheaper price than other options. 

**What do you dislike about FareHarbor?**

Setting up a bank account for payments requires too many steps for verification. This has been problematic for us in receiving our funds in a timely fashion. A less cumbersome method would be appreciated.

This is the best in tour reservation software. You will not be disappointed if you make the switch.

FareHarbor allows us to easily make garden tour reservations. It is easy to setup and even easier for the user to navigate. This was our first season using the software and have had no issues.

The help section is very well done and allows me to figure things out without having to call. When I do still have questions the service reps are amazing! The customer service team is always very friendly and eager to help with any issues or assist in whatever I need.

Not all things on the website allow for the exact reporting that I would like. I also would like an option for pop up sales while people are checking out. This would allow us to get more income from the average customer.

I like that the scheduling is very user friendly. They have many custom fields to describe available items however you'd like.

I don't dislike much about fareharbor except that they take a fairly steep 6% of the sale.

Scheduling has so much easier. It also tracks the inventory so if one of our boards is used, it no longer shows up as available to other customers creating an easy way to monitor inventory.

Difficult to maneuver when it comes to things like adding promos and discounts. My experience with Fare Harbor's call center was abysmal.

The customer service at FareHarbor is really impressive. Every single person I've dealt with is beyond helpful  and I know I can always count on them.

The only thing I have any issue with at all is the hold music while on a call with them! But even that has started to grow on me

As a start up tour company I can't recommend them enough. They've been beyond patient and helpful every step of the way.

**What do you like best about FareHarbor?**

Calendar integration with my site. Responsive to work well with any device. Malleable. Stable. Very Stable. Fare credit card fee, 1.9 +.30, always, no matter what card. No fee for my business. Customers pay Fare Harbor a booking fee of 6% when booking online, nothing when reserving on the phone or in store. I get paid quickly. 

**What do you dislike about FareHarbor?**

No real store for add on merchandise. No systems appears to master this. Work around is flawed and reporting for this is awful. However -we make it work. The sales team promised everything I asked for, the implementation member (onboarding specialist/trainer) assigned to my account could not deliver. It was rushed, incomplete and just plain poorly executed. My account manager is great and has tried hard to correct the issues created by the onboarding specialist but it's been an uphill battle.  
Because it is supposed to be very flexible, it is complicated to set up and one needs assistance from FareHarbor support for many modifications. 
FareHarbor promised a marketing team at my disposal for adwords, remarketing and social. They claimed to provide all of the support and all I would have to do is pay for the actual ad buys. They repeatedly told me that I would have access to the marketing team after implementation was completed. As soon as that occurred I was told that they discontinued that service.

**Recommendations to others considering FareHarbor:**

The customers don't seem to mind or even notice the online booking fee. After some experience it works well and has more capabilities than Xola. This space changes fast and several players are racing to win this category: Rezdy, Xola, FareHarbor and Zozi to name a few. All have good qualities, none deliver everything an outfitter needs. The company that integrates a quality merchandise POS first will have a leg up.

Customers can book my trips online. I manage my entire business with this software.
