The simplicity and the price. Setup is straightforward across our front end, backend and mobile apps, and targeting rules let us release features to specific customers or run controlled tests in production when something can't be fully validated in lower environments. Moving from hard-coded feature flags to a dynamic solution has been a significant improvement for our company. Our biggest challenge with ConfigCat is that the plan limits have not scaled well with our usage. We’ve reached the limits for both feature flags and network traffic, and upgrading represents a significant increase in cost. The feature flag limit is particularly restrictive because developers sometimes have to remove existing flags before they can add new ones, which creates unnecessary overhead and can slow down development. As our usage has grown, managing flags across multiple products has become more complex than we’d like. Separating flags by configuration works well, but maintaining a common set of flags across products requires extra effort. Dead simple yet powerful enough features for running feature flags. I love the straightforward approach and not trying to complicate matters when there is no need to.
