## Archicad Reviews
  ### 1. Centralized Workflow with Powerful BIM Capabilities

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lorna M. | Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

I find Archicad to be an integral product for designing buildings as an architect. It is the primary tool I use to manage, coordinate, and develop project design information from concept to construction. Archicad consolidates drawings, schedules, and technical information within a single model, ensuring consistency across the drawing set and reducing the risk of coordination errors. I particularly like the efficiency of drawing production and the ability to implement changes centrally, which I find especially beneficial. The single model environment allows all project information to be developed and managed collectively, improving consistency across outputs, reducing duplication of work, and supporting a more efficient workflow, particularly at the technical and construction stages. While the initial setup required investment and a learning curve, establishing office templates, libraries, and drawing standards provided a strong foundation for consistent and coordinated project delivery and made the system intuitive and efficient to use. I also often export from Archicad into Twinmotion for visualizations.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

There are some constraints in detailed modeling and documentation. Certain junctions or bespoke conditions can be difficult to represent accurately without workarounds.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Archicad to consolidate drawings, schedules, and technical information in a single model, ensuring consistency and reducing coordination errors. The efficiency in drawing production and ability to implement changes centrally are particularly beneficial.

  ### 2. Great modeling tool, but limited for large-scale BIM coordination

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ana M. | BIM Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

Archicad has a beautiful, intuitive interface and is great for fast, clean modeling — especially in early design phases. I appreciated its visual clarity, smoother rendering capabilities, and how user-friendly it felt at first. For smaller teams or design-driven workflows, it's a powerful tool with solid results. It also handles 2D and 3D in a fluid way.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

While Archicad excels in design, it falls short in large-scale coordination and documentation. We struggled with standardization across teams, model scalability, and interoperability with consultants — especially MEP and structural teams working in Revit. Managing large healthcare or institutional projects in Archicad became inefficient due to limited collaboration features and automation capabilities compared to what Revit offers with tools like Dynamo or pyRevit.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At the time, Archicad helped us model efficiently and present designs quickly. It was a great visual tool to develop conceptual work and generate nice graphics. However, once our projects became more complex, especially in healthcare and education, we needed something more robust to manage documentation, worksets, and real-time collaboration. That’s when we outgrew Archicad.

  ### 3. Intuitive BIM Design and Clear, Well-Organized Documentation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

Archicad is an intuitive BIM software that lets you create architectural designs and produce clear, well-organized documentation.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

The downside of Archicad is its interoperability, and there aren’t many plugins out there. The software has immense potential and very intuitive but it is not mainstream in the U.S, unlike Revit.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It creates an accurate representation of the design and helps from the inception of a potential project through to its execution and delivery.

  ### 4. Intuitive, Versatile, and a Powerful BIM Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** davideperillo P. | Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

It s intuitive, versatile and a powerful BIM tool

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

We still cannot see two windows at the same time.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Archicad helps me producing working drawings, not just conceptual drawings.

  ### 5. Powerful BIM tool with a smooth learning curve and great design flexibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Najia K. | Technicien conception assistée par ordinateur, Architecture & Planning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

What I really like in Archicad is the way it feels very natural to design in 3D. I still remember the first time I worked with it — it was very smooth and I understood quickly how to use it. When I see the model building in real time, and at the same time the floor plans and sections update automatically, it gives me more freedom to focus on the creative part, not only technical things. Also, when I show the project to the client, it looks very clean and professional, which makes me feel more confident.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

Sometimes it is little hard for me to understand some tools, especially in beginning. I like the software, but some functions are not so easy to find or they need many clicks. Also, when I try to change some things like wall corner or graphic setting, it take more time than I expect. It is not big problem, but when I am in hurry, it makes me little stressed. I think maybe it can be more simple in some parts.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Archicad helps me solve the problem of managing both 2D and 3D architectural designs in one place. Before, I needed to use different programs for drawings and models, which made the work slower and sometimes caused mistakes. With Archicad, I can create accurate floor plans, sections, and 3D models all at the same time, which saves me a lot of time and reduces errors.
This benefit helps me deliver projects faster and with better quality. It also makes it easier to show my clients the design visually, so they understand the project clearly and can give feedback earlier. Overall, Archicad makes my work more organized, efficient, and professional.

  ### 6. A Must Have Companion for an Architect

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rikhav S. | Business owner and Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

Archicad is a powerful tool that supports architects from the conceptual design phase all the way through to project execution. It allows us to work not only in 2D but also simultaneously in 3D, helping us visualize every detail of a project in real time.

This integrated approach enables architects to better understand spatial relationships, detect potential issues early, and produce more accurate, coordinated drawings. Archicad also significantly reduces the likelihood of mistakes, streamlining the design process and enhancing overall efficiency.

In short, Archicad is a comprehensive solution—and a valuable companion—for any architect aiming for precision, creativity, and efficiency in their work.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

Compared to Revit and SketchUp, Archicad’s 3D object library remains relatively limited. Although there have been improvements in recent years, the available library still feels basic and insufficient for many design needs.

As a result, architects often have to spend extra time searching for suitable objects from external sources—and even then, it can be challenging to find high-quality, compatible models that meet specific project requirements. This can slow down the design process and reduce efficiency, especially when working on complex or detailed projects.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Archicad plays a key role in producing accurate and error-free drawings, which significantly reduces the chances of confusion or misinterpretation on site. By allowing architects to visualize and coordinate every detail in 3D, it ensures greater clarity and precision throughout the design and construction process.

  ### 7. Not what it used to be.

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emre S. | Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2016

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

ArchiCAD is -or at least aims to be- an all inclusive program for architects.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

Nearly Non-existent development for the past many versions. Ridiculously expensive monthly subscription method. Lots of bugs, unfinished features and useless addtitions.

**Recommendations to others considering Archicad:**

Compared to other options on the market (mainly Revit), ArchiCAD is easier to use, and in general a simpler software in terms of achieving the end result. Whilst arguably not being as complex as its competitors, ArchiCAD is great in terms of efficiency.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ArchiCAD makes it easier to manage all sorts of data inside one program: drawings, sketching, documentation and presentation. In a small size company, this is very beneficial.

  ### 8. A versatile piece of software that stimulates creativity

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francesco D. | Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

There are certainly many aspects that make Archicad a unique software, as far as I'm concerned the two fundamental aspects are the speed of management of extremely complex models, and above all the versatility, on this aspect I don't think there are comparable software on the market.
Archicad allows great creativity in three-dimensional modeling, often allowing the achievement of the same result in a myriad of ways, becoming a real kind of Swiss army knife in the hands of an architect.
Anorther important aspect is the stability of software, is really difficult to make Archicad crash, and honestly I've never lose the work I've done(and I use it from 1999, from my first year at university)

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

In reality there is no less useful part of ArchiCAD. There are some aspects that should definitely be improved, some tools should be revised to meet the needs of architects, and while it is true that ArchiCAD allows you to create the same thing in different ways, eliminating the need of certain workarounds would greatly streamline the work, a trivial example is the creation of a sloping slab, or a ramp, which certainly can be created but not directly.
Another aspect is the management of curved elements that has never been treated adequately, finally what seems to me to be the biggest problem (and which is the reason for my vote on how much I would recommend ArchiCAD), is that in recent years all the development of the software has not followed a harmonious direction, of the many functions added or renewed, some incomplete or disorganic with the rest of the software, others in which development began (and seemed really promising) but then stopped before the functionality was usable, I list some below:
- disorganic behavior of the tools, some tool permit to construct or edit in section view other not(one example is morph vs shell)
-disorganicity between the different types of representation, section and elevation are far more qualitative than 3D documents, in some cases doesn't seems the output from the same software.
-The new MEP modeler, that as some good point but still lack on usability in relation with the old solution(example ad inline fixture in the route)
-Param-O, added in AC24, and then seems abandoned
-Ecodesigner, an incredible value, that could be considered a gamechanger, that was never completely integrated into AC workflow, and also this seems quite abandoned
-Redshift, good render engine, but never updated from the inizial addition(at now I couldn't use, because I've an AMD GPU, even if it's supported by at least 2 years)
and so on

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Archicad is the main solution, that follow me from the star of the project(the conceptual design stage), to the documentation phase

  ### 9. Archicad have been the centerpiece of my projects for 24+ years

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francois S. | Founder and Director, Architecture & Planning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

Archicad's diverse toolset have enabled my team & me every day, to deliver many projects. It is our "Swiss Army Knife" to tackle any project type in creative ways. New team members find it easy to learn & use productively in little time. The ability to create deeply customized templates to suit our workflows & local standerds makes Archicad easy to impliment on any project. Archicad's support systems makes it easy to integrate with external consultants & clients.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

In using Archicad daily for 24+ years, it has not always been easy to afford Archicad, mostly due to exchange rates. The new subscription pricing options are making it even more difficult to afford for many practices, large / small alike. This does not mean that Archicad is not worh it though.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Archicad's diverse toolset, robust ecosystem, extended file compatibility & it's ability to migrate projects across all versions have enabled my team & me to deliver a wide variety of project types with easy, all from one platform.

  ### 10. Impressive 3D and Renovation Tools, But Libraries Load Slowly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

3d and renovation qualities- make it very convenient for completing a full set of construction docs

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

the libraries can be very bulky, and take a long time to load.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using the program mostly for landscape and pool design, but previously worked in residential architecture, which is when i began using the product in 2004

  ### 11. The best software for the Architect

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** carlos l. | Administrador, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

Archicad is a well-rounded software that allows architects to develop their creativity in the project. The fluidity and ease of working both in the model and in the drawing allows you to focus on the design. You can develop professional presentations without going to other software, saving time and money. From a drawing to a render, through BIM modeling and MEP modeling, Archicad has everything an architect needs to do his job without problems.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

I don't like that, despite having so much potential, their marketing campaigns are not as aggressive. The label of being a software for architects makes engineers underestimate it.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Archicad saves me a lot of time in generating drawings. Its ability to generate presentations with different content and representation with just a few clicks helps me a lot to communicate with my clients. The best thing is being able to export all this information in the portable BIMX format, with the advantage of not having to pay additional costs for it.

  ### 12. Automatisation de l'information

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aziz N. | Graphist , BIM Manager expert archicad, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

Ease of learning, Visual work environment with numerous icons, Properties and formulas, Auto-merging of construction materials, Shell Tool, Interactive calendar, BIMX, Better management of large-scale projects, Visual mapping of IFC, Flexible IFC translation interface for the AEC industry, Available on different Mac Windows platforms

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

The improvement of modeling tools is not frequent, the development of an option generally takes two years to be finalized, essential options that only exist in the subscription version like "Param-o".

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Archicad 28 solved an issue related to the "iceberg module" by introducing "the Variant"; project variants are a significant evolution of the software. The introduction of "identification notes" allows for the centralization of text drafting and the generation of legends on a dedicated interface, which significantly increases the consistency of internal documents. I change a note, and all documents linked to this note are modified.

  ### 13. Nice design tool for the architects mind. Perfect for the small to mid-size projects.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benedek . | BIM manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

Archicad can be used quite well out-of the box. And getting into the basic workflow is quite easy and rewarding.
The premade tools are created in a way that reflects the general architect's thinking which is nice and makes it possible to create some nice and visually pleasing documentations.
It is also based on the openBIM workflows which is nice, especially the options to tweak the IFC models for export and import to exchange data with the other disciplines.
It is amazing for small to mid-size projects.
The teamwork workflow is easy to comprehend and to use even for larger teams. And since the BIMcloud Saas had its update, you can even invite external designers to collaborate on your project without much of the licensing hurdle.
The GS forums are nicely maintained when you are looking for answers to the community or someone from GS would get to your question quite rapidly.
Also, now the API is getting opened up and more and more external developers can get into the game to create useful plug-ins. This is still in its early stages but there are already some awesome tools to get even more out of this software.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

Since Archicad was not a BIM solution tool out of the get go, it shows...
When you get into the deep end with extensive BIM and data management needs the software can be rather cumbersome and you must be very creative and able to think outside the box for getting the desired outcome data management-vise.
Also, since the software can only use a limited amount of computer resources, no matter how good your machine is, it makes certain actions rather slow. Especially when you wish to query your model for data within Archicad.
Probably due to the same issue the software gets finicky and a bit hard to handle for large scale projects.
If you need some custom tools, to create them the learning curve is rather steep.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating the model in 3D and then getting the 2D documentation based on the model we can ensure the quality of the entire design.
By being able to export and import different types of models we can ensure to work together with other professionals in the AEC industry.
By being able to load up the model elements with meta data we can prepare our models for BIM workflows and different quality checks.

  ### 14. The most flexible and accesible BIM software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex D. | Owner, lead architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

Easy to use and intuitive interface, ready-to-use templates and library objects that allow to create comlex and rich models from the first minutes of usage. At the same time it allows complete freedom for ease of implementation of your own processes and adjust to your workflow, like building your own template, setting keyboard shortcuts etc. Extremely convenient drawing system, possibility to make attractive drawings and renderings right inside of Archicad workspace, that allows to ditch other software solutions for 3d and 2d, so Archicad becomes the most frequently used program I have. Also, there is a helpful customer support from local resellers, Learnin portal and Community portal to ask questions and share experinece. One of the most important features - is unparalleled security of your work, as Archicad saves each step of your work at the background so I never lost any progress during my more than a decade long experience working in Archicad

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

The only major downside I can think of - there is less library parts and product families available from manufacturers, though there are quite a few options to create your own library parts from scratch and via converting from popular CAD and 3d formats, including Rhino IFC and Revit, so it is still allows to integrate it into other workflows.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows for a one-software workflow, that will cover everything from creation of 2d drawings and 3d modeling, to creation of sets of drawings, 3d renderings and creating a presentation of the project both via traditional PDF set or 3d walkthrough via proprietary BIMx format

  ### 15. BIM authoring tool with a long tradition

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefan V. | Architect / BIM Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

Archicad is one of the leading BIM authoring tools on the market that can meet the needs of many offices. It has a long tradition of understanding the needs of architects in this new Digital Information Era. This tool is highly intuitive and has excellent interoperability with many other software solutions needed in today’s line of work.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

Like many tools, Archicad has its drawbacks.

At the time of writing, I would highlight two aspects that currently reduce the overall impression:

1. Transition to an only subscription model and the removal of the SSA/Forward approach. While it is not the only software to adopt this approach, I believe that Graphisoft had an excellent strategy towards clients with the perpetual license model in combination with the SSA/Forward model of payment as a way for upgrading the software version.

2. Neglecting improvements in exporting to dwg format. Despite the trend of moving away from 2D as a means of information delivery and focusing exclusively on 3D, we must be realistic that the construction sector does not keep pace with technological innovations in this regard. Therefore, it is still necessary to invest in improving the 2D system for presenting and better-converting information from 3D to 2D realm. Currently, the most suitable model for such conversion is dwg/dxf, as it is most commonly used in execution.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Check the text and edit a little: It helps us as an all-around software that covers from the conceptual phase to the IFC phase (Issued for Construction). If the design leans towards organic forms, its excellent communication with software such as Rhino helps to mitigate the issues.

  ### 16. Fantastic Software - but little forward system and Mixed bag Subscription

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric M. | CEO, Architecture & Planning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

Great modeling abilities with a fantastic tool for demonstration

Pretty easy to grasp and they are adding some support but will have to see.
Feature rich however could and instintive.
We use the product daily
The product is faily easy to impliment. Still the licensing is weak and constantly changing. Lifetime subscriptions with yearly updates are no longer recognized. A weak investment.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

Poor support as little to non. Lack of realization that they are teh bottom rung of users in the U.S. and to arrigant to try and capture the US market. Little to no support.
Product is to use - however no community in the U.S . Annot find needed Engineers
The community in the U.S. is non existant.
Customer support is weak. They need to purchase 3rd p[arty vendors to control complexity of products and for simple tools that are available in other competors. This product shoud be 2 in market in the U.S. but they bow to Adesk.
Difficult to integrate as Others that are using Revit will not waste time to work with Archicad as they dont have to.
Already using Bentley since 1988 and frustrated as Adesk was killing our ability to compete.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Constantly revovling subscription that is contrary to how it was purchased. High loss of investment. Not seeing any benefit yet.
Lack of support and loss of user group. Is it to hard to have open forums by region - Country, etc. Need a Registry of users
Enlist the Architect Users in the U.S. to help give the product to the Architecture departments at every univeristy. Let us help.

  ### 17. The best software tool for an architect

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martijn V. | Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

It's a easy to use, quick to learn software. We've integrated it very quickly in our work environment. It has al the tools an architect needs, not only to make quick designs with various design options (without crazy workaround, but the right tools to efficiently make them), but also to make very detailed BIM models. We can model very quick and our clients are always very satisfied with the output.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

There isn't much to dislike, except the update cycles for fixes. They improved it a bit in the latest (v28), but it still can be faster.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has great solutions for renovation projects so you can handle multiple phases in one model. And you have also very easy solutions for quickly making different design options, without having to create multible models. You can just do this in 1 model.

  ### 18. The best BIM modelling software fullstop...

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tony F. | Co-founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

ArchiCAD is a very intuitive and powerful software platform enabling a user to accuratley design and model a wide range of buildings. Once familiar with the software a user is able to extract a vast array of data from their ArchiCAD models and even use the power of ArchiCAD to automate some of the processes of the job. ArchiCAD is easy to implement and update.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

There is very little to dislike about ArchiCAD, most of what one could list as a dislkie can generally be attributed to a lack of skill from the user rather than a deficiency of the software.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ArchiCAD is helping me to produce documentation faster for our multi unit residential projects through the use of a good template and premodelled hotlinks for the units.

  ### 19. Archicad offers a seamless blend of intuitive design, and efficient collaboration tools .

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

The BIMcloud feature enables real-time collaboration on projects, whether teams are in the same office or distributed worldwide.
Archicad offers a high level of customise workflows, layouts, and designs.
Unlike some other software that struggles to balance 2D and 3D design processes, Archicad allows you to switch seamlessly between the two. Changes made in one view automatically update in others, saving time and reducing errors.
Archicad underlay open standards for interoperability, making it easier to collaborate with consultants or teams using different software. Support for IFC, DWG, and Revit formats enhance data exchange.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

•	The GDL scripting feature, while powerful, is particularly difficult to master for non-technical users.

	•	While Archicad has decent built-in rendering capabilities (CineRender), it doesn’t match the advanced rendering quality or real-time rendering features of dedicated tools like Twinmotion, Lumion, or Enscape.
	•	We need to rely on third-party software for high-end visualization, adding extra costs and complexity.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboration Challenges

- Multi-disciplinary teams often struggle to collaborate effectively, especially across different software platforms.
Solution: Archicad’s BIMcloud enables Teams work more cohesively, even across different locations, reducing miscommunication and rework.

  ### 20. Solid tool with increasing focus on Revit-like development.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

The building model is at the center of the planning. Much is constructed in 3D, which means you have to think early about a functional construction. Combined with a (local) BIMCloud and the ability to easily define your own parameters, the planning model becomes a powerful data model. And finally: the automation in output, which allows you to output many plans and files in different formats with the push of a button.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

The switch to rental licenses is a real disappointment. Also, the fact that many bugs, some of which have existed for decades, are simply not fixed. Furthermore, many features that users urgently need and regularly request unsuccessfully are missing. And if such features are developed, it takes several product versions before they meet the requirements.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The more intensively you work with Archicad, the more you notice the internal inconsistencies within the software. The hotline is rather overwhelmed by this, as many problems arise from practical use and you need a practical perspective to understand the problems and offer solutions. Fortunately, there is an excellent community that is usually the first point of contact for questions and problems.

**Official Response from Marianne Sims:**

  ### 21. A solid BIM solution with flexibility and creativity

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erik B. | Arkitekt / BIM-Brottare, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

Archicad is a solid solution which allows the user to create detailed and information rich models. After pioneering the "Virtual Building" in the 80:s, Archicad has developed into a competent and complete BIM solution. There are very few limitations and restriction on what is possible and over the years all kinds of buildings have been designed and documented using this tool.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

Having used Archicad for many years there are of course downsides. however, many of them are more small annoying tid-bits rather than actual limitations of the tool. In contrast to this there is an active community which is always happy to help and there is active user input into the future development of Archicad.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Archicad provides me with a more-or-less complete architectural solution.
The ability to stramline and automate certain processes also allows me to spend time on the more important aspects of my work.

**Official Response from Marianne Sims:**

> Thank you for your positive feedback about Archicad! We're thrilled that you find our BIM solution flexible and creative. Your input on issues is essential as we continually enhance the user experience.

It’s AI features, including the AI SNAP AND AI SCENE

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

It’s too technical and some times the need is for something more abstract

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Too technical, I wails use it for concept work most times

  ### 23. Archicad Through The Years

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

It is the most and easiest software to use compare to other competitors I will list down the following.
Open BIM
Can import almost any file types
Easy to learn
Have BIMx that allows you to view models in your phones or tablets or desktops those without Archicad
They have BIMCloud that allows users to work across the globe

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

Of course not all software are perfect it has also disadvangtages some of it will be the following.
Got some bugs
Cannot keep up with global competiton with their competitor
They change to subscription licensing instead of perpetual

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding out the issues and clashes with other disciplines before actual constructions starts.

  ### 24. Flexibility and licence

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christophe F. | BIM manager/designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Archicad is the best software to begin a project from nothing.

I am an independant Archicad teacher in France since 8 years and I model with Archicad into an architecture agency too.

  ### 25. Near perfection

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mario N. | Docente universitario, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

The simplicity and flexibility of creating the model as well as structuring IFC. Speed of learning

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

There are some minor flaws that if fixed would allow for a better experience. Sometimes there are too many windows to open, sometimes there are gaps in the modelling tools. Sometimes there is no uniformity in parameters, settings and the like.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BIM business implementation and creation of IFC information models

  ### 26. Friendly and professional solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

I've been using Archicad since vrsion 7, probably now on a daily basis. It an excellent solution for both sole paracticiener as well in big sutios and cmpnaies. It's a very well tool of design, infkrmation management and documentation. Its excellent to follow the project along its cosntruction as well.
I used Arhcicad in urbna design, architecture, landscape, rehabilitation and intetior design.
The program is very useer fiendly, specially for architects.
The softeare is very well integrated with chaos, enscape, and help get the rendering done on the go.

I never needed direct contact with cutomer support from graphisoft, as usually I found all the Q&A at the internet forums and youtune. The program is very easy to use and to inolement inside the office by architects and engineers as well.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

The license fees are too high, as the delopes keep dropping an updated version yearly. Would appreciate if they get some bigger new fuetures integrated to insure more fluid working space, as well as solvgn some minor things here and there.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

documentaiton, 3D, rendering and others.

**Official Response from Marianne Sims:**

> Thank you for your feedback and review of Archicad. Learn more about new developments at our roadmap. We appreciate your business.

  ### 27. User since version 6.5

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

I really like the way how Archicad is structured. The logic of the program is clear and follows architectural principles. Very versatile so basically everytihng is possible with this program. Also, the user interface completely custamisable. Good customer support. Good integration into oter platforms.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

Only one think related to Object, they could be updated more frequently and the library could be bigger.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick modeling with desing options. Perfect documentation tool. The project strucure and stages can be easily implemented into Archicad. Perfect visualisation tool. New users can be helped and guided with a good office template. There are lots of good learning materials on the Graphiosft Learning Portal which is benefitial for the whole team

**Official Response from Marianne Sims:**

> Thank you for your thoughtful review and for using Archicad since version 6.5! It's great to hear that the structured logic, versatility, and customizable interface have been valuable to your workflow.
Your feedback on object libraries is much appreciated, and the development team will consider it for future improvements.
Archicad's ability to support quick modeling, documentation, and visualization is a key advantage, and it's great to know it has been beneficial for your work. We agree the Graphisoft Learning Portal is also a fantastic resource, offering valuable content to help upskill teams and maximize every new release's features and benefits.
Thanks again for sharing your experience.

  ### 28. Been using Archicad since 2003

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary A. | Architectural Designer, Architecture & Planning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

The ability to inbed BIM information in objects and then schedule the information.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

Need better objects available. The objects for the USA are based on our equipment sizes and types.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

New thing in the latest added in version 28 is a keynoting tool.

  ### 29. almost 30 years

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

Ease of use, ease of learning, power, community, ease of integration

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

Woeful marketing and market penetration in large parts of the world.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Efficiency, quality of design, technical design development, design communication, client review and approvals

**Official Response from Marianne Sims:**

> We appreciate your positive experiences with Archicad. We acknowledge your concerns and are dedicated to expanding our presence to better serve our users globally.

  ### 30. Archicad is very powerful and user friendly!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

Archicad is very easy to start using and then you can building on your knowlegde and keep improving your modelling, information and coordination skills. It integrates really well with Rhino and other tools like Twinmotion.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

Main and only downside is interoperation with Revit but more and more easy to overcome through openBIM and IFC, it just requires some energy to convince other consultants.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Modelling and adding information is easy with Archicad and it even allows model coordination!

  ### 31. Long term user of Archicad

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

Ability to organize all phases of project in one file.
Logical. It works without fail. Publication tools save hours of work.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

There is very little I do not like. All features are available. The available 3d library parts are limited, but only in comparison to more engineering solutions like Revit. Graphisoft has to embrace more library parts native to the program. Quit conceding the library part market to Revit. Encourage more mfr's to write for direct archicad import.

**Recommendations to others considering Archicad:**

Go for it. It takes time to master, but is completely worth it.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I produce construction documents fo high rise residential projects using Archicad. It helps me organize the entire project and maintain tracking of all drawings.

My project is series of (4) 23 story residential condominium on Gulf of Mexico in Naples, Florida.

My archicad file is about 3 Gb. It contains schematic, marketing, exports, construction, interiors all in one file.

I export the file to others for rendering work. Archicad makes exports to other formats easy.

  ### 32. Intuitive BIM software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

Compared to Revit, versatility, ease of use, price, and Mac support.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

Take into account that I have been an Archicad user since version 4.55, released in 1995
The library has not been restructured in decades, literally. Many of its objects have not been rethought or made easier to handle, people look terrible. Useful objects (such as modern multi-sliding doors and nana walls) took forever to be implemented.
System tools are not as intuitive as they should be. Especially stairs and rails. They are getting better, but not good enough.
No matter how good the computer is, Morph is not as responsive as it should be.
New releases focus a lot on features that are irrelevant to small companies, such as extended capabilities related to other disciplines, rather than architectural design
Graphisoft focuses a lot on new features rather than rethinking or getting better existing features, especially tools.
Archicad 27 has been unstable in both of our computers when in the 3D window. the spinning wheel shows up and we have to force quit. It happens almost every day.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Architectural design in all stages

**Official Response from Marianne Sims:**

> Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback on Archicad! We value your continued use of Archicad since version 4.55 and your insights into the library structure, object handling, and system tools. We recognize the need for more intuitive features and improved responsiveness, and we will pass your feedback along to our development team to enhance the user experience.

If you've experienced any stability issues with Archicad 27, please contact our support team here: https://support.graphisoft.com/hc/en-us for assistance with troubleshooting and resolving the 3D window spinning wheel problem.

  ### 33. The licensing is a scam that will have you paying tens of thousands per license for years to come

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jared H. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

Ive been an avid ArchiCAD user for decades and firmly believe it is the best software with some major exceptions.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

They constantly change the licensing so you essentailly end up buying the software from scratch every few years. You can not upgrade, but you also lose support.

Also, the annual updates and features are great, but they need to focus on how to clean up, consolidate, and streamline a lot of these features which are often redundent. Hence, the learning curve is intense and takes years to master the program.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CAD and BIM is fantastic for a more holistic process from Predesign through Construction Administration.

**Official Response from Marianne Sims:**

> Jared, Thank you for sharing your thoughts about Archicad. The concerns regarding the licensing model are completely understood, and this feedback is shared by others as well. Graphisoft has transitioned to a subscription-based model to provide users with continuous access to the latest features and updates without the need for significant upfront investments. This approach ensures that users receive regular enhancements and support, keeping their software current and efficient. By subscribing, you no longer need to worry about purchasing new versions or losing access to essential updates. It allows for a smoother and more predictable experience, offering flexibility and stability as the software evolves.

Regarding the learning curve, Archicad is a powerful tool that can take time to master. However, Graphisoft has made significant efforts to support users through resources like the Graphisoft Learn portal, which provides a variety of courses that can help make the learning process smoother. Additionally, the Graphisoft Community forum is a great place to engage with others, ask questions, and gain insights from fellow users.

If there are any further questions or suggestions, feel free to reach out. Graphisoft is always looking for ways to enhance the user experience and make improvements where needed.

  ### 34. ArchiCAD as your ideal tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Winston Q. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

The structure of the software allows a seamless flow in organising your project. It is designed for all project types, renovations are so easily taken care of by limiting the drafting with the filters to show quickly what exists, demolitions and proposed works. For new projects, the design options linked to the layer combination makes using the software way easier rather than saving multiple files. The continuous growth of the AC updates will make your design workflow a breeze.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

ArchiCAD doesn't include main features for site modifications which usually was taken care of by plugins. The users needs to be able to create roads, sidewalks, profiles of roads and other site modifications without having to be creative with other tools. This is a huge downfall for ArchiCAD compared to their competition which has these features already included.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ArchiCAD allows me to express the designs in an accurate way. It has solved my overall drafting and 3D workflows

**Official Response from Marianne Sims:**

> We're thrilled that Archicad has improved your drafting and 3D workflows. Your feedback about the need for site modification features is valuable and will be considered for future enhancements.

  ### 35. What you see is what you get, and what you get is great design.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark H. | Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

I love the visual nature of ArchiCAD. We are able to design fully in 3D and turn that desing into 2D documents all with in the same software. ArchiCAD makes it easy to get the desing out of our imaginations and into reality. Their development team is constantly evolving the program to respond to our request and keeps getting better and better with each update and release.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

The high degree to which an ArchiCAD file can be customized, can also make it difficult to maintain. Managing layer names, pen colors, and graphic overrides can be a struggle if not carefully thoght about. The classifications and custom parameters are a powerful feature that can deliver great data about the project, but can also induce chaos if they are changed in the wrong way.

**Recommendations to others considering Archicad:**

If you are using seperate software for design and documentation, then you should consider using ArchiCAD to streamline your process. If you are not working in the 21st century yet, and are still drafting in 2D, ArchiCAD is the best software to transition into BIM with.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving the problem of reduced project time lines and icreased expectations by capitalizing on ArchiCAD's Teamwork features to efficiently design and document projects. The integration with Twinmotion has not only helped us produce better renderings for our clients, but helped us better design spaces, as we can now navigate our designs in real time and make decisions based on human level perspective.

  ### 36. ArchiCAD takes one line and turns it into a 3d building.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jaren H. | Landscape Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

The interface is very user-friendly and looks nice. Other programs that I won't name... look so sterile and uninviting. when you are in a program every day the small things add up. As the BIM manager for my company, I can take someone who has never used the program and get them to contribute in a meaningful way in just a few days. i have always had quick responses from the customer support team and I appreciate they take the initiative to follow up and make sure my issues have been resolved or if there is anything else they can help with.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

the major downside that i deal with in ArchiCAD is some of the small things that it seems every other modern program has that ArchiCAD is missing. The two items that jump to mind are no multi-leader line option, and how clunky the spell check is if it even works.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Archicad helps us create 2d construction documents at the same time we get all of the benefits of the 3d model with very little duplication of work. then we take the 3d information and use it to see future conflicts before they happen out in the field and have a large cost implication.

**Official Response from Marianne Sims:**

> We appreciate your feedback about the small features that you feel are missing in ArchiCAD. We're constantly working to improve our software, and your input helps us prioritize our development efforts.

  ### 37. Robust & Mature BIM Program -

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremiah H. | Job Captain / ArchiCAD Manager, Architecture & Planning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2015

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

Powerfull BIM program that is more than just CAD, more than just drafting lines. You construct the building, not just document a plan or section. Modifications to the plan are reflected in the elevations and sections. Forces you to consider the whole, big picture.

The linking and updating of drawings across the project make changes easier and quicker to pick up. Allows for a tighter integrated, more coordinated and correct set of drawings.

The auto-populating elements (door/window schedules, detail cuts that update when a detail is moved) speed up the coordinating and documenting of a project.

The ability for multiple people to share and work in a document makes teamwork and production very efficient.

Parametric objects are fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

Like every program it has processes that it is stubborn to change. However, once you know the limits, you can work with it.

Some tools and objects get overly complex. The windows and doors, while they can represent a vast spectrum of styles and variations, they can be complex to update and find all the little settings. Can be cumbersome and confusing for someone early in the learning curve.

**Recommendations to others considering Archicad:**

Don't give up. In today's world, we expect immediate results. ArchiCAD has been around for almost 30 years. It is very mature and continues to innovate and change. Don't expect that you can spend a month in the program and be an expert. However, push through and realize the efficiencies and workflow allow you freedom to design and less on documentation once it is properly set up. Spend the effort and cost to get quality training as well as a tight template established. With a good template, you can really focus on the building and less on the drawings.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The workflow shifts the major workflow earlier in the project. This requires both a need to shift the billing on a project but also the expectation from everyone in the office. You spend more time in the early phases as you are constructing the building and making initial decisions but those efforts are realized later in the project and in changes as the project updates all the drawings.

  ### 38. ArchiCAD is a revolutionary and we are all in.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher S. | Owner/ Design Principal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

the ease of revisions affecting all aspects of documents.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

It is still far too much programming involved. There needs to be artificial intelegence that thinks for us regarding what layer an element is to be placed on, line weights, documents need to be more automated in their setup and rely less on our "Company Templates" That seams to be an excuse to these not to be programmed in.

Artificial Inteligence needs to perform far more functions so architects can spend more time designing. Waterproofing details, walls details, roof details, are the sameish all around the world. There need to be programming depending on country, city, etc. for standardization for all of the mundane tasks a virtual robot ie. ArchiCAD can perform.

We love the program but it can do far more of the standardized tasks for us. We are still spending far too much time cleaning up drawings in elevation and section.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Speed of production drawings and modeling. It is amazing to be able to create a virtual building prior to construction.

**Official Response from Marianne Sims:**

> Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback on Archicad. We're thrilled that you find the ease of revisions and speed of production drawings and modeling beneficial. Your suggestions for more automation and artificial intelligence integration are valuable and will be shared with our development team for consideration. We are constantly working to improve our software to meet the needs of our users better. If you have any specific ideas or further feedback, please get in touch with us. We appreciate your support and are committed to enhancing your experience with Archicad

  ### 39. It's the only BIM prodict I would consider.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg B. | Board Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

I was enlisted by Charles River Software (the original creators of Revit) in the late 1990's to be a part of their Pioneer Program. At that time I saw the potential for what BIM could do and how it would effect a better workflow for the design of buildings, large and small. After selling to AutoDesk, I looked for other sources of BIM software. I came to Archicad in version 8. At the time I used it only for a visulaization tool. I have never looked back. In 2013, I began using Archicad as my only software to produce the work I was designing, Since version 8, Archicad has simply improved every year with its ease of use, shallow learming curve, easy to use educational tools, robust data compilation, and basically the availabilty to work almost the same way as when everything was drawn by hand.

Most of the work I create with Archicad has very strong resembalence to what I produced by hand prior to 1985.

I have been successful in getting a couple of decent sized firms to turn away from AutoCad and begin using Archicad. Those firms say they would never go back after the experience of using such an intuitive product as Archicad. In my opinion, Archicad is the best BIM product available at a reasonable price.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

The only minor complaint I have is updating my template year after year. But, the number of improvements that come about each year make it worth while.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cutting production time and increasing profit. Simply, Archicad improves our bottom line while allowing not to burn-out our team with long hours of refinement of the work.

  ### 40. Archicad - Great transition for residential work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark R. | Architect, Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

It's ease of use as a program. It is much easier to use than Revit and much more intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

There is not a large amount of useful objects that are available for US users. Many objects are in metric since this program is widely used outside of the US.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can easily model in 3d. This was not easy to do in Revit when doing residential projects.

  ### 41. User of ArchiCAD since the early days, v4.1

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keith P. | Principal, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

As Graphisoft has evolved the platform the tools have dramatically improved. They continue to listen to the user group for their needs and then evolove the tools to provide new features and improvments. The tools are intuitve and follow a logicial work flow. The cost is another great story; Buy a seat, rent a seat; or buy hours for a seat. with these options the anual cost per seat is amzingly afforadable for all sie firms. The ROI for a new staff from onboard learning to production is a breeze. Tool from concept design to CD's through CA.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

Not so much about the tool but rather having more consultants of MEP & Strcutral working on the platofrm.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

the new v27 tools providing design options live within the model is a fantaisc new feature. Full color elevations is aideind in the documentation phase as well as graphic overide

**Official Response from Marianne Sims:**

> Thank you for being a loyal ArchiCAD user since the early days! We're thrilled to hear that you appreciate the continuous evolution of our platform and the improved tools. Your feedback about the affordability and intuitive workflow is greatly valued. We understand your desire for more consultants in MEP & Structural disciplines and will take this into consideration for future enhancements. The new features in v27, like live design options and full-color elevations, aim to streamline your workflow and enhance your documentation process. We appreciate your support and look forward to continuing to meet your needs. If you have any further suggestions or feedback, please feel free to reach out.

  ### 42. Great collaboration, lacking in productivity enhancing features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

The solid teamwork setup, facilitating collaboration with large project teams. The increased interaction with Graphisoft support staff on the new Forum.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

The focus on marketing driven and not relvant new 'features', instead of listening to long standing suggestions for improving basic functionality. Annual release cycle of non-production ready versions.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing large projects teams to work on the same project.

  ### 43. Using Archicad for 25 years and never looked back!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

I have been using Archicad since version 4.0. I was a Mac user and it was one of two apps that I reviewed that ran on Apple machines. The other one dissappeared from the market after about maybe 10 years. Fortunately I chose Archicad. It has developed in leaps and bounds since then. It's lacking nothing and I love how intuitive it is to use. It's like Sketchup on steroids.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

Not having a large enough user base to get third-party companies to quickly update their add-ons.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can visualize design from the get-go and encounter / solve problems early on. As the project develops, I can work with other users in real time using BIMcloud on the same model and use clash detection to identify and resolve conflicts with consultants who use alternate software. I especially love to use thermal bridging analysis to optimize my envelope details.

  ### 44. Great Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

Ease of command are self explanatory, ease to make a template to fit your need and make modiications as needed for the project.Hopw all markers are linked together so if any chages are done, all linked drawings chege at the same time. The layout book is easy to set up

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

The least helpsul thing is then I do round opbjects in view them in 3d , it gets distorded, also when I morph a radius slab object. onlso the ability to comunicate with some other software, like importing solidwork files or vectorworks files.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With the ease of manipulating the software, I can pretty much draw and engineer what ever I can imaging with only a few commands.

**Official Response from Marianne Sims:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Archicad easy to use and that it helps you to create and modify templates for your projects. We appreciate your feedback about the challenges you face with round objects in 3D view and importing files from other software. We are constantly working on improving our software and will consider your feedback.

  ### 45. Loved it for 23 years!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

The brilliant Teamwork function allowing multiple users to collaborate across different offices and disciplines. Graphic overrides are great too :) The Graphisoft team does a fantastic job in creating user group meetings and events and are always on hand if we need support.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

Sometimes long wait times and no background function automation for publishing and similar tasks - we work on large models and publish large numbers of drawings and hotlinks. It would be great if we could hit publish and then go on working whilst archicad creates the files in the background - needs to multitask more!

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently they're looking into the curtain wall tool for us to help improve scheduling

**Official Response from Marianne Sims:**

> Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback on Archicad. We value your continued use of Archicad since version 4.55 and your insights into the library structure, object handling, and system tools. We recognize the need for more intuitive features and improved responsiveness, and we will pass your feedback to our development team to enhance the user experience.

For any stability issues you've experienced with Archicad 27, please get in touch with our support team for assistance with troubleshooting and resolving the 3D window spinning wheel problem.

  ### 46. Architectural Designer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

I love that I have immediate access to every aspect of my project and that it is incredibly organized (& has become even more organized in the most recent version). I also like that I can quickly throw together a very completely looking drawing set.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

Version 27 seems to have some glitches which need to be fixed. Also it would be nice if ArchiCAD offered more library parts for electrical fixtures and door options and also if the vanity part was set up like the rest of the cabinetry.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being a BIM software, I can easily see all parts of the building and coordinate with mechanical and structural. This helps me to find issues before construction.

  ### 47. A really good software that allows focus on design while keeping details in mind.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathan B. | Principal Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

Designing in 3D, BIMx integration, Easy Presentation for clients to see their building in advance.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

Dimension strings are not exact like Revit and you can't adjust element locations using dimension strings like Revit. Though some added features in the later versions have helped tremendously.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ArchiCAD makes it easy to focus on design with the built in tools and functions without restricting creativity and workflow.

  ### 48. Powerful 3D Rendering Engine and BIM Modeling Options are nice.

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

Annotation, 2D drawing creation and editing via this platform is fantastic and the easy data export to various 3D visualization product is impressive.
Collaboration across Architects and Engineers and also designing several project 3D models this VAD solution is the master.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

No issue or any dislike on this CAD platform and no much training required on getting started and to implement the package is very easy.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Generation of quality images and is 2D drawings accuracy and 3D models sharing and to manage different projects workflow using the tool is productive

**Official Response from Marianne Sims:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Archicad. We're glad to hear that the collaboration across architects and engineers, as well as the ease of implementing the package, are benefiting your workflow.

  ### 49. This Software makes it possible for small firms to compete and allow for a life work balance for us.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** craig b. | Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

The integration from initial design to final construction drawings saves us a lot of time and reduces the chances of mistakes, this program lets the computer do what its good at and allows us to be more creative.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

integration with AutoCAD-based programs that our engineers prefer though the ease is getting better with each new release. I would like to see this workflow between platforms steamlined

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The integration has taken significant steps in the last few updates; the rendering capabilities have also taken great strides that allow our firm more design freedom

  ### 50. The BEST Architectural Design & Production Software Till Date !

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arshdeep S. | Design Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Archicad?**

Flexibility and Architect Friendly are the two primary characteristics of the program. When you are workng on the program it feels like the program is communicating with you and completely understands what you are thinking as well as trying to achieve.

**What do you dislike about Archicad?**

I would like for Archicad to have for now is a dynamic Ramp Tool and The Ability To Create Dynamic Annotation Library Components. Apart from that the developers are leading the program to a very bright future.

**What problems is Archicad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Robust Design Tools allow us to experiment with multiple design options in a matter of minutes and most importatntly allowing to go from a concept to elaborated 2D Details in no time flat.
