I would have preferred more time to properly test everything before making a decision. We ran into scalability challenges, and performance was limited in high I/O scenarios. StoreMagic has worked well alongside the other tools in our infrastructure, and its been cost effective compared with other solutions we’ve looked at. We run it with VMware ESXI and manage most of the storage through vCenter, so workflow feels familiar to the team and fits naturally into how we alreday operate. Deployment was straightforward, and the solution is lightweight while still meeting our high availability needs without requiring an expensive SAN. The documentation is helpful overall, but I’d really like to see more real world examples that walk through common configuration and typical setups, so its easier to follow along.
