# What's the best Restaurant POS software for quick-service restaurants handling high daily payment volume?

I've been researching what's the best Restaurant POS software for quick-service restaurants handling high daily payment volume, since a QSR that can't process orders fast during a rush loses money in a way slower-service restaurants don't feel as sharply. This sits in the Restaurant POS category, and Toast, Square Point of Sale, and Restroworks Restaurant POS are the three most cited for this exact problem.

For anyone running a high-volume QSR, has your POS ever slowed down during a rush, and what did you switch to, if anything?

Toast has held up fine for us even during a lunch rush that used to choke our old system. We never actually had to switch away from it, which surprised me given how much stress a Friday lunch rush puts on checkout speed.
