SoFi offer two different programs for our employer partners. They can be stand alone or fully integrated with SSO capabilities. SoFi is able to work with all budget and sizes.
1. Industry-Leading Financial Education and Student Loan Refinancing
SoFi provides personalized and custom advice to your organization and employees, including access to credentialed financial planners. With SoFi's robust set of resources, calculators, videos, and articles, student loan borrowers will have a better understanding of all of their options in both the Federal and Private programs. In addition, we go above and beyond and cover all debt management best practices to "Get Your Money Right" and start building a foundation for saving.
There is no cost to the organization or their employees in this program. In addition, SoFi will provide a 0.25% rate discount to all employees and family.
With this program no contract and no IT or data integration is needed.
From an HR viewpoint, SoFi's education and refinancing program is a premier level of service and education for their employees.
Customized communications and a dedicated partnership team to support both HR and employees.
Employee value: Certified Financial Planning financial education along with preferred access to student loan consolidation with a lower interest rate (borrowers are individually underwritten by SoFi).
ParentPlus loans are also available for refinance via the SoFi SLR program.
Fees/costs = none for employer, none for borrower/employee
Borrower Incentive: "SoFi Welcome Bonus"; SoFi will offer your employees (and family members) a rate discount or welcome bonus rebate when a refinance loan is completed with SoFi .
2. Employer Contribution Program: SoFi fully administers & supports corporations who also want to provide direct loan contributions (paydown of loan principal) to specific employees (employer decides on eligibility rules). ECP requires a SoFi administration contract and some IT & data security implementation. We can also provide a contribution to a 529 plan and any hybrid program (PTO Convert, 401k / student loan match, sign on bonus re-direct) Note: ECP currently has no tax advantages (i.e. different then a 401k match in this regard).
Fees/costs = SoFi fee for administration would be between $2-4 per enrolled employee per transaction (i.e. 1 employee loan contribution = 1 transaction). Fee level is determined by employer size & demographics.
