Question on: Submittable
[How does Submittable handle language translation?](/discussions/how-does-submittable-handle-language-translation)

How does Submittable handle language translation?

Submittable offers translation of all static text within the platform, such as buttons, as well as all program and application information created by program administrators, such as questions on an application (translated by Google). This means that applicants can experience their application in any of 21 supported languages. Submittable does not translate application or other content submitted by applications/awardees.

[Is Submittable out-of-the-box, or does it require customization?](/discussions/is-submittable-out-of-the-box-or-does-it-require-customization)

Is Submittable out-of-the-box, or does it require customization?

For most customers, Submittable is a completely out-of-the-box, self-service tool. Your implementation specialist will work with you one on one to set up your first program, but you can make changes to it and create all additional programs and cycles completely on your own—no change request tickets required. Submittable also offers a professional services team that extends the capabilities of the platform for clients expecting extremely high volumes or with other unique needs. These can include automations in the review process, funds distribution, or on some occasions, a new feature needed specific to a customer’s workflow.

Question on: Submittable
[Can Submittable help manage fraud risks in our grant applications and awards?](/discussions/can-submittable-help-manage-fraud-risks-in-our-grant-applications-and-awards)

Can Submittable help manage fraud risks in our grant applications and awards?

Yes, Submittable has built-in features that help prevent grant fraud. These include identity verification, which verifies that an applicant’s international photo identification document is authentic and matches it to a selfie they take in real time (all quick and convenient for applicants), as well as sanctions and politically exposed persons (PEP) checks. Beyond these built-in tools, Submittable also offers a professional services team that can build review automations to detect fraud more specific to your program at scale, such as cross-referening tax forms or identity documentation against third party databases to verify applicant identities.
