Why You Can Trust G2's Software Rankings:
G2's software rankings are built on verified user reviews, rigorous moderation, and a consistent research methodology maintained by a team of analysts and data experts. Each product is measured using the same transparent criteria, with no paid placement or vendor influence. While reviews reflect real user experiences, which can be subjective, they offer valuable insight into how software performs in the hands of professionals. Together, these inputs power the G2 Score, a standardized way to compare tools within every category.

Highlighted products: Google Earth Pro, Google Maps Platform, Esri ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Maptitude, DroneDeploy, Mapme, and BatchGeo.

EOSDA LandViewer is a digital satellite-driven tool created by EOS Data Analytics (EOSDA), a trusted global provider of satellite imagery analytics. The service allows for on-the-fly searching, visualizing, and processing of data by applying more than 10 indices available on the platform and extracting insights from satellite data to tackle real business tasks and challenges. The software allows users to get free access to medium-resolution images (10 free images per day) and, thus, serves as a catalog of satellite imagery obtained from multiple data sources: Sentinel-2 L2A, Landsat 8 OLI + TIRS, Landsat 7 ETM+, Landsat 4-5 MSS, Landsat 4-5 TM, CBERS-4 MUX, CBERS-4 WFI, CBERS-4 PAN5, CBERS-4 PAN 10, and CBERS-4 NAIP. Users can also purchase high and very high-resolution imagery (up to 0.4 m per pixel) obtained from a host of satellites, including KOMPSAT-2, KOMPSAT-3A, KOMPSAT-3, SuperView, Gaofen 1, Gaofen 2, Ziyuan-3, and TripleSat. Users can find images of any AOI (area of interest) all around the globe and process them - all in one tool. A processed image can be easily downloaded whenever needed, saving time and storage space on the device. You can easily detect the change by comparing various images of the same AOI taken by multiple satellites, on different dates, and even at a different time of day, using the split view mode and time series analysis, and visualize the results as a time-lapse animation. In addition to default indices, users have an opportunity to create custom indices by applying different combinations of spectral bands.

FSQ Spatial Desktop unleashes Kepler.gl from browser limitations by pairing its proven visualization excellence with native DuckDB on the desktop. GIS professionals who appreciated Kepler.gl’s capabilities but found it “gets limited fast” can now leverage the same GPU-accelerated visualization engine without WebAssembly constraints, browser memory limitations, or cloud dependencies. By combining Kepler.gl’s real-time rendering of millions of data points with native DuckDB’s sub-second spatial queries on multi-gigabyte datasets, professionals can perform complex spatial analysis and create compelling visualizations using familiar interfaces while maintaining complete control over their data. Built on the open-source SQLRooms framework, the platform enables community-driven extensibility through custom plugins while delivering the full computational power of desktop computing for performance-critical and visualization-intensive scenarios that browser-based tools simply cannot handle.
